Villa on Quinta da Saudade, Vale de Parra, Albufeira, Central Algarve - Set In 24 Acres, 2 Pools, Tennis And Ideally Situated To Most Attractions In The Central Algarve

A richly refurbished 3 bedroom villa with 3 bathrooms, sitting on the hillside of an ancient river bank with magnificent views either to the undeveloped hillside opposite or across the nature reserve to the sea and cliffs at Armacao de Pera.

The villa consists of an upper level with 2 bedrooms and below a self-contained 1 bedroom with its own kitchen/wetroom. Ideal for the parents/in-laws or to hide away from the kids. There is air-conditioning in each bedroom and the lounge. Each level has its own terrace. WiFi and full UK television packages are provided including sport and there is access to a Filmclub and Music.

Sited on the Quinta da Saudade in a rural setting with well established gardens, it is a small estate of semi-detached villas, which is situated a few miles west of Albufeira and about a mile inland. The Quinta is around forty minutes drive from Faro airport.

The nearest beach, just over a mile away, is the largest on the Algarve and there are many sandy coves down the side roads. The Quinta has two shared pools, a tennis court, crazy golf, petanque and horse riding. On-site, there is a pool bar open during the day in summer months and a separate bar and restaurant in the evening.

About Mike and Denise Hagel

We used to rent villas on the Quinta da Saudade around twenty years ago when the children were young as it is an ideal spot for families where the children can toddle off and make friends.

We returned recently and found it unchanged and as lovely as we remembered it, so much so, we decided to buy a villa of our own.

We hope you find it as relaxing and enjoyable as we do.

Why Mike and Denise Hagel chose Albufeira

We bought the property in November 2010 and it has undergone a heavy renovation program since to what, you will hopefully agree, is 5 star standard.

The villa is now the best on the Quinta and ready for your enjoyment.

Casa Por do Sol, meaning "house of the sunset", faces west, so enjoy a "sundowner" on the terrace, then wander down for an excellent evening meal in the Quinta restaurant followed by a digestif in the bar or alternatively, visit one of the local restaurants. Local taxis are relatively cheap.

I am sure you will be provided with a holiday that will be remembered!

What makes this villa unique

The Quinta features 2 pools within beautiful, well maintained gardens. The lower pool is served by a bar with food available until 8 p.m.. On Saturdays in high season, a barbeque is held on-site which is not to be missed.

It is a very safe site with many local amenities and is centrally located with easy access to all attractions, local markets, nightlife and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

Outstanding property - great location & facilities

We have stayed at the Quinta for the past 14 years and always had great holidays. The Quinta itself is a real gem - a small but low density development of traditional houses set on the side of a valley with views to the coast. The gardens are superbly maintained and the facilities include two pools. The support staff are excellent and always very helpful.

Villa 9a is a very good property with all the facilities you would expect. The rooms are spacious and air conditioned which makes a big difference in the summer. The partly covered patio is very large and includes a bbq and fantastic views to the sea. The villa is very well maintained and any issues are resolved quickly. We can thoroughly recommend both the Quinta and Villa 9a for a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

Our recent visit was our fourth and won't be our last. The villa is a real haven of peace, away from other built-up areas and traffic yet close to a good road network. The quality of the accommodation is excellent and the Quinta is run by a small but efficient team who unobtrusively manage all aspects of ensuring a comfortable holiday.

Since our first visit, the small restaurant has gone from excellent French style cuisine to more downmarket fare, but there are many first class eating places within a short drive.

Not only would we recommend the property to friends and family, we aren't allowed not to invite the rest of our clan when we go there!

During our last two stays, other owners and guests have asked to inspect the property as it has the reputation of being of such outstanding quality.

A Beautiful Villa in a Perfect Setting

We have spent two holidays in this beautiful villa.

The villa has been refurbished to a very high standard. While we travel with 3 children under 10 years, it would be perfect for a family with grandparents traveling too. The apartment downstairs would be perfect for guests.

While the pool is shared, the estate is well managed and there is a nice mix of families and couples. In addition, there are beautiful beaches less than a 5 minute drive away.

I would highly recommend this villa. We have travelled to this area of the Algarve for many years, and this is without doubt the best accommodation we have found.

A Gem

We stayed here in June 2012 for two weeks our friends have been coming to Quinta De Saudade for a long time and we decided to join them for their 25th Wedding Anniversary the villa is beautiful with a large balcony the sun sets were amazing. The villa has air conditioning which is a must for us and it is decorated to a very high standard we loved it here and if we came back we would most certainly want to stay here.

Notes on accommodation: The three bedroom, semi-detached villa is laid out across two floors. The upper floor contains two bedrooms and bathrooms with a lounge/diner leading on to a terrace with views over the hillside opposite, the nature reserve and the countryside to the sea and cliffs at Armacao de Pera. The large terrace contains furniture for al-fresco dining together with loungers and a built-in barbeque. There is a door to an internal staircase to reach the lower floor, which forms a self-contained twin bedded studio with a separate kitchen and wetroom. The Studio has large tilt or turn french doors to a smaller terrace with views over the gardens, countryside and to the sea. Changeover days are flexible, depending upon demand. Please enquire. Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Smoking is permitted on the terraces. Outside: The main terrace contains a six seat dining suite and two sun loungers. There is also a built-in barbeque on the main terrace. The lower terrace has a table and two chairs. There is also a large roof terrace with superb panoramic views. However, this is kept locked as it has low parapets and could be quite dangerous especially for children. The key will be provided upon request which implies that full responsibility is accepted. Utility Room: There is a washing machine available in a utility room in the courtyard. 2 sets of golf clubs, tennis bats and his and her mountain bikes are available free of charge. Childrens' cots and highchairs are available from the Quinta site office. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service is provided three days per week, typically Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Towels and bed linen are included and are changed weekly. Beach/Pool towels are also provided. There is also a washing machine available. Other: The downstairs studio has a two seater settee and has a LCD HD television in the bed/sitting room. There is a breakfast bar in the kitchen and table and chairs on the veranda. There is a large walk-in shower in the bathroom with various "spray" options.
