House in Ronda, Ronda Area / Andalucia, Spain - Beautiful Views, Extremely Close To Main Sights And Facilities

4 Bedroom house with Swimming Pool, Sauna, Garage, large patio with a covered dinning area and terrace with stunning views of Ronda and the countryside. Located within a few minutes walk of all Ronda's many attractions, 100s of restaurants, bars and shops and train and bus station. The house is a perfect base for exploring Ronda and the rest of Andalucia at any time of year.

All the bedrooms are a good size and the house can accommodate 8 people. Although it appears old, fitting into the local streets, it was actually built in 2005 and has underfloor heating throughout and air conditioning in the master bedroom.

The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is an additional bathroom and a downstairs toilet.

I am from the north of Spain, but have lived for almost 30 years in London with my English husband.

Living in the UK the thing I miss most is the sun, particularly in winter. We have bought the house with a view to spending a lot of time here on retirement, but unfortunately that day has not yet arrived. We hope you love the house and area as much as we do.

Why Isabel Dalton chose Ronda

We were attracted to the area by the beautiful countryside and by the winter sun. Although Ronda is close to the coast it still has a very Spanish feel and there is a sense of space and tranquility in the area.

At first we looked outside town, but when we found this house we felt it offered the best of both worlds, having a pool, great views, immediate access to the countryside plus all the convenience of town. A 3 minute walk in one direction and you are in the main shopping street, and 3 minutes in the other direction you are in open countryside.

We want to visit a lot in the winter months when it gets cold at night so the log-fire and underfloor heating were a real attraction (many local properties are not well heated).

What makes this house unique

Perfect location.

Large garage (parking can be difficult in Ronda like many Spanish towns).

Special interest holidays:

The countryside around Ronda is popular for its cycling, walking, bird-watching as well as more adventurous outdoor pursuits. We have 3 Bicycles available for guests' use and more can be hired from a shop within a few minutes walk. There is plenty of room in the garage to store bicycles or other equipment.

Coast/Beach:

The coast is 47 km away. There are regular bus services for those not wishing to drive.

Travel:

Malaga is the nearest airport (100km / about 1 hour 15 minutes drive). Seville and Jerez airports are just a bit further. The town has good train and bus services to a wide range of destinations so a car is not necessary, although of course a car does offer more flexibility. The house is within 10 minutes walk of both bus and train station as well as all the towns main sights and numerous shops, restaurants and bars.

Distances:

New bridge/El Tajo, bull ring, Arabic baths, bus and train station all under 1km. Main shopping street 300 metres. Coast 47km. Malaga 100km. Sevilla .125 km.

Further Details:

The local countryside is very beautiful. There are many inexpensive local restaurants as well as a number of more elegant/formal ones at reasonable prices. Most of the main towns and attractions of Andalucia can be visited as a day trip from Ronda - Sevilla, Marbella, Cordoba, Jerez, Cadiz and Granada are all within easy reach.

Notes on accommodation: House has underfloor heating and log-fire so it is comfortable in the winter when, despite many warm sunny days, the temperature drops sharply at night. A large garage in the basement with room for 2 cars. Outside: Large patio with private swimming pool (pool size 8 yards x 3.7 yards) garden furniture and barbecue. There is a sloping roof providing a shaded area on the patio so that you can escape from the sun. The house also has a terrace with beautiful views. Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen provided. Cleaning normally on changeover, but additional cleaning can be arranged. Other: Large dinning area off kitchen. Table seats 8 comfortably, 10 at a squeeze.

Beautiful Property

An absolutely beautiful home to stay in. So close to everything in Ronda. Beautiful rooms throughout tastefully decorated. The pool area is starting to decline with broken tiles, but I want to assume this is the next project for the owners! Once updated it will most likely reflect the style and good taste of the owners touch on the inside!

The pool made it perfect for us

The house is in a good position with lovely views from the rooms at the front. All of Ronda is within a ten minute walk but beware the hill for the first fifty feet.

We were two families with teenage children. There was plenty of room and the teenagers were able to get into town easily. Lots of shopping, eating and admiring the historical sights.

Beautiful house in excellent location

Beautiful and well kept house. Clean with an excellent private pool! Brilliant for mid-day heat! Garage available - bit of a tight squeeze! We managed fine but not for the faint-hearted! Very accessible to entire town. Walking distance to everywhere. Supermarkets walking distance up the road. Lovely shopping streets and beautiful views of gorge. Would recommend walk down into gorge early in the morning! Best restaurant we found was Casa Maria - set menu but every dish was fantastic. Plenty of options for food throughout Ronda. Seek out Daver for delicious but cheap cakes and coffee. Short drive to see other towns for a day out.

Perfect Location, Great House

This house was perfectly located on a hill with a beautiful view of fields and meadows. There was a small well stocked market within a 10 walk and the pool area was a wonderful place to sit outside and cool off and relax.

Absolutely lovely - the house and the town.

The house is delightful and so near the centre of Ronda. My only criticism, and it's a very small one, is that we really could have done with two front door keys as when we were out and about we had to arrange an absolutely specific time to meet up otherwise one of us couldn't get in. I did raise it when we arrived with the man who met us and although he said he would inquire about us having an extra key we heard nothing back. This is an irritation rather than a big gripe and we would happily stay in this charming house again in the future.
