House in Ronda, Ronda Area / Andalucia, Spain - Beautiful Views, Extremely Close To Main Sights And Facilities

4 Bedroom house with Swimming Pool, Sauna, Garage, large patio with a covered dinning area and terrace with stunning views of Ronda and the countryside. Located within a few minutes walk of all Ronda's many attractions, 100s of restaurants, bars and shops and train and bus station. The house is a perfect base for exploring Ronda and the rest of Andalucia at any time of year.

All the bedrooms are a good size and the house can accommodate 8 people. Although it appears old, fitting into the local streets, it was actually built in 2005 and has underfloor heating throughout and air conditioning in the master bedroom.

The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is an additional bathroom and a downstairs toilet.

Living in the UK the thing I miss most is the sun, particularly in winter. We have bought the house with a view to spending a lot of time here on retirement, but unfortunately that day has not yet arrived. We hope you love the house and area as much as we do.

The perfect holiday home in a great location.

We found this property easy to book and the owner was very helpful, our contact in Ronda was easy to get in touch with and on arrival was at the house to meet us, show us round and pass on the keys.

The house is situated on the edge of the old part of town, walking up or down the street brings you to all the tourist sights, up the steps at the top of the street above the house you will arrive on a long street where you will find a large supermarket, butchers, fruit shops, chemists etc and if you continue further you will come to the bus station and off to the right the train station. You can walk to most places in 10 - 15 minutes so a car is not necessary. Ronda has an excellent train and bus service so you can easily visit other towns and be in Seville in about 1 3/4 hours.

The house is well maintained, nicely furnished and cleaned to a high standard, you will find everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The house stays really cool if the shutters are left closed which is just what you need on a hot summers day.

The outside space at the back of the property is very private with high walls. It gets the sun from lunch time through to early evening and if it gets too hot the shaded area has comfortable seating and a large table and chairs for alfresco dining. The BBQ is also ideal for the days when you don't want to cook indoors or eat out, wood is provided for this and can be found in the spacious garage below the house. We spent most of our time outside when we were not walking or sightseeing and we swam everyday in the pool which is a decent size. A local man does pop in from time to time to make sure the pool is serviced and kept clean.

We are keen walkers and all of the walks which we had planned in advance started from the Bario San Francisco part of the town which is located just the other side of the Almocabar Gate to the town. The walks are well signposted and offer stunning views of Ronda, the paths are bordered by beautiful wild flowers, butterflies and song birds were everywhere and we saw eagles and vultures soaring high above us.

There is so much to do and see in Ronda, the tourist information office opposite the bull ring has really helpful English speaking staff and they provided us with leaflets, maps and ideas for trips out.

Eating out is a great experience as there are so many Tapas Bars, Restaurants and Hotels with panoramic views. There are prices to suit every budget.

We can certainly recommend this lovely property.

Charming house!!

A beautiful Spanish style house with lots of charm! Centrally located and an easy walk to all sorts of eating places, shopping, and sights, we greatly enjoyed our 5 nights here. The bedrooms are comfortable, the apartment was clean, fully equipped, and beautifully decorated. It was a bit chilly to use the pool but we did enjoy the courtyard and the comfortable furniture out there. Contact with Isabel was easy, and she quickly responded to every question I had. We used Ronda as a base for touring some of the Pueblo Blancos, and found that we enjoyed our time in Ronda so much, that we stayed in town at the house more than we had planned!! The only glitch was that using the attached garage became a problem when neighbors were constantly parked in driveway or in front on street (street is VERY narrow and steep). It was easier to park down the street and walk to house.....the only way we could be insured of getting out!! No big deal...we did love our stay here and highly recommend this lovely place!!!

Great location with easy access to all areas of Ronda. Lots of space and a quality finish though out

We loved the area with some great walks near by. We loved the sites around Ronda especially when we walked up from the bottom of the gorge. The house was a great place to base our walking trip from with the under floor heating and log burner making it warm when the temperature dropped. With all the equipment needed and plenty of space we where very comfortable though out our stay. We would certainly recommend this house and location and will look to return next year

Very accommodating host

The property was very well located to Ronda's sites and restaurants, it is a very nice and comfortable home and suited us (2 couples) very well. We have been using VRBO for many years and have not experienced a host who was as attentive and accomodating as Isabel, she met all of our needs very quickly and made our stay enjoyable.

Great house in very convenient location

We stayed in Ronda for a holiday partly devoted to cycling and partly to rest and recuperation. The house's location is perfect. Its a few minutes off the main road, in a quiet residential area (with great views from the front) but only five minutes walk into the middle of town. You would struggle to walk more than ten minutes to anywhere you would want to go in Ronda. There is a wide range of restaurants in the town, as well as some historically interesting sites, and we never had a bad meal. There are some interesting walks, for example to the gorge, which can be done straight from the house. The house itself was in immaculate condition - very clean and tidy. There were six of us in the party, and it felt like there was plenty of room for everyone. The yard at the back with the pool was a very relaxing place to sit and/or eat at all times of day, with a much cooler lounge inside if you want to cool off. There is a large garage which was perfect for keeping and maintaining the bicycles, and there are some marvellous cycling routes - on virtually empty roads - directly from the house (and still more via train/car, but if you take bikes on the train remember to book a ticket first). Note that the house is on a steepish hill, and I parked the car at the bottom where there were many parking spaces, but the more adventurous could easily take the car right up to the house (about 75 metres up the hill). So a great week in a great location.

From the Owner

We were attracted to the area by the beautiful countryside and by the winter sun. Although Ronda is close to the coast it still has a very Spanish feel and there is a sense of space and tranquility in the area. At first we looked outside town, but when we found this house we felt it offered the best of both worlds, having a pool, great views, immediate access to the countryside plus all the convenience of town. A 3 minute walk in one direction and you are in the main shopping street, and 3 minutes in the other direction you are in open countryside. We want to visit a lot in the winter months when it gets cold at night so the log-fire and underfloor heating were a real attraction (many local properties are not well heated).

The countryside around Ronda is popular for its cycling, walking, bird-watching as well as more adventurous outdoor pursuits. We have 3 Bicycles available for guests' use and more can be hired from a shop within a few minutes walk. There is plenty of room in the garage to store bicycles or other equipment.


The coast is 47 km away. There are regular bus services for those not wishing to drive.


Malaga is the nearest airport (100km / about 1 hour 15 minutes drive). Seville and Jerez airports are just a bit further. The town has good train and bus services to a wide range of destinations so a car is not necessary, although of course a car does offer more flexibility. The house is within 10 minutes walk of both bus and train station as well as all the towns main sights and numerous shops, restaurants and bars.


New bridge/El Tajo, bull ring, Arabic baths, bus and train station all under 1km. Main shopping street 300 metres. Coast 47km. Malaga 100km. Sevilla .125 km.

Further Details:

The local countryside is very beautiful. There are many inexpensive local restaurants as well as a number of more elegant/formal ones at reasonable prices. Most of the main towns and attractions of Andalucia can be visited as a day trip from Ronda - Sevilla, Marbella, Cordoba, Jerez, Cadiz and Granada are all within easy reach.
