St Aldhelms Barn is a pretty converted stone barn 4 star listed self catering by VisitEngland. Situated in a quiet, tranquil village, yet close to all amenities. WiFi available . Ample parking, private garden and barbecue area where you can relax, or a short drive to Wadebridge, where you can visit the many restaurants and pubs , do some shopping, or visit the cinema or leisure center. The nearby beaches are safe for children, Daymer Bay being a favorite, also Rock for sailing and Polzeath for surfing. Nearby is Port Isaac, (film location of Doc Martins Port Wenn), Padstow and Boscastle.

Martin and Christine have been coming to the Port Isaac area for over 50 years, and bought their lovely old Cornish Barn in 2000. "We use it as often as we can both in and out of season, so it is truly a home from home to us and any of our visitors."

Fantastic barn in a peaceful setting

We had a lovely week at the barn, at half term. The weather was kind to us, and we enjoyed many walks on the beach at Rock and Daymer Bay.

Our daughter had a great time fishing around in rock pools and building sandcastles. We also had a day outing to Dairyland farm, which is well worth a visit, to amuse younger children on wetter days. The local pub, The Malsters were very accommodating with our 3 year old, and we took part in the children's quiz too! There is so much to see and do in this area, but the barn was a comfortable home from home to rest weary bodies at the end of a perfect day. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

our family has been visiting this area of Cornwall for over 50 years and still love to return. We couldn't believe our luck when we managed to purchase this beautiful barn.

It is a 10 minute drive to the beaches.


Newquay airport is 20 miles away. Bodmin railway station is 10 miles away.


Wadebridge with main shops Co-op, and Tesco is 4 miles away. Eden Project is a 40 minute drive. Padstow is 25 minutes by car. Rock and Daymer Bay iare a 10 minute drive away.

The Barn is a family home from home and is used by the owners family continuously. Because of the upside down living accommodation, the views are tremendous and it is fun for the children The peace and quiet is very relaxing, yet not far from all the fun of the seaside when required.

  • Outside: There is a good sized private garden, which is ample for garden games, also a barbecue area, two patio seated areas and well equipped shed, which contains beach body boards and other related items and games. In the front of the property, there is ample parking for three cars and another seat to catch the morning sun. Utility Room: In the entrance hall cupboard, there is a freezer and tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and electricity is included. The barn is cleaned on every changeover and linen also changed. There are winter and summer feather duvets. We do not supply towels.
