We took many months to find our little corner of tranquility but the moment we saw it we knew it was the one for us. Bonne Chere is surrounded only by pine trees and forest offering a real sense of freedom and solitude. Whilst we try to provide everything needed for a stress free holiday, mother nature does her bit too. By day, go and explore the forest fauna and flora (deer, squirrels, badgers, foxes, buzzards, owls, woodpeckers to name but a few) and by night with next to zero light pollution it's also a great place for a spot of star gazing.
We love Morbihan's countryside, its meandering rivers and its glorious coastline along with its long sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and quaint picturesque harbours and believe our guests will too.The gastronomic delights of Brittany await you whether it be crepes, galettes, cidre, beer, wine or the fresh fish and shellfish. With boulangerie's on every corner with their mouthwatering patisseries too...who can resist Brittany
This charming group of cottages is set within 33-acres of beautiful quiet woodland countryside surrounded only by pine trees and forest. You will find 3 exceptionally well equipped cottages offering stylish and comfortable accommodation where families can escape the hubbub of everyday life and where tranquility promises only to be disturbed by birdsong.
Guest's children are welcome to help collect eggs and feed the chickens and both Brambles the pot belly pig and Bonnie & Clyde our excitable goats relish any kitchen leftovers.
Pontivy, the closest town is well served by restaurants, bars & cafe's, boutiques and supermarkets and is also a very interesting town historically. There are many places of historic and scenic interest to explore all within a short drive or you can equally spend your days relaxing, taking a dip in the pool and watching your children have the time of their lives.
The best family holiday we have ever had. Cottage was perfect, never seen anywhere as clean and well equipped before for children. Thanks for being such lovely hosts. Jane, Dominic & kids (Bristol)
Beautiful gardens, terrific accommodation, and wow! what can we say about the playbarn, kids didn't want to leave site all week. Special thanks to Amy, Ethan & Eryn (owners children) for entertaining our lot all week. We will be back next year. The Jones (nottinghamshire)
Came as strangers, left as friends. We had a perfect holiday and the grandparents enjoyed themselves too....... Never realised pensioners could get so competitive over table tennis and air hockey before! Lovely quiet setting yet loads to keep the children happy. Jon, Patricia & kids + grandparents (worcs)

We enjoyed our second visit to Bonne Chere this year having enjoyed it so much last time. The gite is comfortable and well equipped and a real home from home. The pool and games barn are much appreciated by our children and plenty of family time was spent enjoying these elements in all weathers. The location is rural and picturesque and a great base from which to explore other fascinating locations around Brittany. The owners are lovely and always make us feel very welcome. I'm sure we will return again!
The cottages in Bonne Chere are well equipped and kept to a high standard by Rob, Trudy and the Family. Onsite facilities include an amazing Barn of fun for Children, a Pool and a Hot Tub. There is plenty of space to kick around a football or to take a little stroll.
The region itself does have lots to do but having a car is essential due to the rural location of Bonne Chere which to be fair is its best asset.
We would highly recommend Bonne Chere for anyone with Children. In our group, we had children 18 months to 13 years and all had a great time.
Places we enjoyed seeing were the medieval town of Josselin, the Amazing beaches in Carnac and the lake “Lac de Guerlédan”.
Bonne Vanaces!
We had a lovely relaxing holiday Trudy and Rob made us feel welcome and at home straight away. Well kept cottages and grounds with a lovely swimming pool and play areas. There is an amazing play barn with so much for children to do including a soft play area and for adults there is snooker, air hockey and darts too. Lots of places to visit within an hours drive from the cottages including the beach. Closer to the cottages you have La Balade du Pere Nicolas about 20min away and Lac Guerledan both worth a visit. Also Pontivy is only a short drive which is very nice, good for shopping and supplies.
Hope to return again soon.
