Guest can choice from our cosy cottage nestled on the hill overlooking the farm, to our spacious Coach House packed with traditional charm or our lovely courtyard apartments that enjoy a stunning view of the golf course and Aigas Forest.

Aigas is a perfect location for those which to explore or simply to unwind and enjoy the countryside. Situated only 4 miles from the bustling and charming village of Beauly and 15 miles from the lively Highland capital Inverness. All our properties are very comfortable furnished with all the comforts of home provided and are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring our guest enjoy their stay.

Holiday guest can also enjoy 50% reduction on our own 9-hole course just a few minutes’ walk to the first tee, a dream for any level of golfer! If enjoy the outdoors Aigas Forest offers all levels of walks or you can simply enjoy a stroll along the banks of the river Beauly followed by a well-deserved coffee and slice of homemade cake in our coffee shop.

A delightful well equipped, spacious traditional farm cottage. The Coach House comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. This is a very roomy house with a large combined kitchen and dinning room with separate sitting room, family bathroom, three bedrooms and an upstairs toilet. Shared garden and BBQ area overlooking a courtyard and mill pond. The cottage is set in a peaceful courtyard surrounded by trees. There is apply parking and the cottage is located just a few minutes walk from the coffee shop and the 1st Tee on Aigas Golf Course.

About the Owner

Aigas Holidays comprises of four courtyard cottages, a secluded hillside cottage and our 9 hole parkland golf course all situated on the the family farm.

Jessie and Peter Masheter purchased Mains of Aigas farm (500 acres) in 1960. The operation then mainly involved running a Highland farm with one hillside self catering cottage.

The family run business is now home to two further generations of Masheters who have all returned to live nearby in this beautiful area and to assist in running this unique family business.

People come back to Aigas time and time again for its stunning setting, hospitality and quality accommodation. Coach house as spacious 3 bedroom (sleeps 6) property full of traditional cottage character. It's idea for a large family or a party of friends. This cottage has a large spacious kitchen/dinning room, sitting room and two toilets so plenty of room to relax in. Old Stable has an open plan living area apartment with generous sized rooms looking out on to the golf course. This cottage sleeps 4 and is perfect for a couple or small great for a small family. We never take living in this stunning location for granted and we are delighted to share that experience with our guests. At our on site coffee shop you pop in for coffee and chat. Aigas is a wonderful base for a Highland holiday with the added attraction of having it on unique 9 hole course which guest enjoy 50% discount. There is plenty to offer in the area for families and people that love being in the countryside. You will find Aigas is a stunning setting that provides a great base to explore the Highlands or to simply unwind. All our properties a comfortable furnished and we welcome our guest back year after year to this special place.

At Aigas you can step out your door and walk in the Aigas Forest, enjoy a game of golf, experience staying on a farm, enjoy trout fishing or canoeing on the river Beauly. With in a short drive or cycle you can explore 3 Glens with a number of Munro's all in easy reach.


Aigas is an ideal central location to explore the North, East and West coasts.

Great Beaches on the East include Balintore, Nairn and Dornoch within an hours drive. A 40min drive will take you to Rosemarkie beach which is great for spotting the resident bottlenose dolphins.


Inverness Airport is a 27mile drive from Aigas. Car hire is available at the airport and in Inverness. Having your own car is essential to make the most of surrounding area. There is a good taxi service in nearby Beauly (5 miles) if required. There is a good public transport service from Beauly to Inverness by bus and train. Beauly to Kyle of Lochalsh (West Coast) is one of the UK'S most scenic rail trips.

Further Details:

Beauly is a small town with a fantastic variety of shopping and eateries for visitors to the area. There are two small supermarkets that are open from Dawn till late, hotels, craft shops including, banks, post office, antiques shop and doctors surgery.

Explore stunning countryside, forest trails in Aigas Community Woodland. Free Trout fishing from our fields on the river Beauly. Wildlife on your door step - home to Red & Roe Deer, Pine Martin, Red Squirrel and Otters. Bird watchers paradise with Buzzard, Osprey and Peregrine all nesting nearby. On site Coffee shop with home baking & local tourist information (open April-October) Beauly 10mins drive, Inverness and Loch Ness 20mins drive. Central Highland location, easy access to North, East and West coasts. Beauly is also connected to Inverness by train if you prefer to leave the car behind.

  • Notes on accommodation: This Ground floor courtyard cottage has night storage heaters, conventional electric heaters and electric is metered so you pay for what you use. Meters are checked on departure. Pets are not permitted. We have a no smoking policy in the cottage. Guests should arrive at 1600Hrs, please advise us if you intend to arrive later in the evening or the next day. We ask our clients to leave by 1000Hrs as this allows us to make sure the cottage is cleaned/maintained for the next goup of visitors. Outside: There is ample parking space adjacent to the cottage with shared garden area. Barbeque, outdoor seating and table area. and well equipped golf practice area close by.
