Villa in Argaka, Polis, Paphos, Cyprus - Views Of Sea And Mountains, Close To Beach (5 Minute Walk)

This luxury air-conditioned 3 bedroom detached villa is located in the naturally beautiful area of Argaka and is an ideal location for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The villa is situated in the middle of Polis Chrysochous Bay and is built in an elevated position giving stunning panoramic sea views from all rooms. The villa also has views of the Akamas peninsular and the foothills of the Troodos mountains. The beach and also several bars and tavernas are all within walking distance. Small shops are just a few minutes drive away and the resorts of Polis and Latchi are just a few kilometres away. The villa has its own private pool (approx 8m x 4m), an area for sunbeds and a barbecue area. The gardens are illuminated at night and are planted with palm trees and Mediterranean and tropical plants. There is a covered veranda for outside dining and a full-length upstairs balcony that is accessible from all of the bedrooms. The villa is furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

A much enjoyed holiday

Just a few words of thanks for a lovely 14 days holiday. We found the villa to be very clean and well maintained. The slightly elevated position gave has great views and a steady cooling breeze from the sea. The location was perfect for us and gave us the option of walking to local restaurants or taking a drive further afield. A very nice couple take care of the villa and pool, they were on hand if we needed them but left us in peace otherwise, fantastic! In short I would recommend the villa for either couples or families a like.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

The surrounding area has nature trails and is suitable for walking, cycling, bird and animal watching, swimming.


The beach (a mixture of sand and fine shingle) can be seen from the villa and is just a 5-10 minute walk away.

Along the coast road are several bars, tavernas and shaded picnic areas.

Close to Polis and Latchi are larger, sandier beaches.


A hire car is strongly recommended, but taxis are widely available. Paphos airport is about 45 minutes by car. Larnaca airport is about 2.5 hours by car.


The town of Polis can be reached in 10-15 minutes by car (for supermarkets, shops, local hospital, bars, restaurants, beach area). The fishing port of Latchi can be reached in 15-20 minutes by car (for fresh fish restaurants, marina, boat trips, water sports). The Akamas peninsular can be reached in 20-30 minutes by car (for Aphrodites Baths, nature reserve, jeep safaris and trail walking). The villa can be used as a base for exploring the many areas of interest on the Western side of Cyprus.

Further Details:

The villa provides a full range of self-catering and barbecue facilities for those who wish to prepare their own meals. There is also a good selection of places to eat and drink along the coast in both directions and these can be reached by walking or a short car or taxi ride.

Scuba diving, boat hire facilities and organised sailing trips are available from Latchi.

There is a Go-Karting track on the way to Polis.

There is a ten-pin bowling alley 5 minutes from Polis.

At the same time, a refundable deposit of £250 is payable against breakages, damage or losses to the villa & its contents. This is refunded within 21 days after the booking end date.

Changeover Day:
Arrival must be after 4pm, departure by 10am. It may be possible to arrange a later checkout time, if other guests are not arriving on the same day.

  • Notes on accommodation: Two air-conditioning units are provided in kitchen/living area and one unit in each of the bedrooms (reasonable use is included in the rental price). These units can also be used for out-of-season heating. This is a non-smoking villa, but ashtrays are provided for use on balcony/veranda. No pets. Internet access is not provided, but is available in local bars/pubs. The friendly property managers live just around the corner and they can provide help and information regarding the property and local facilities. Outside: The front garden is landscaped with attractive natural stone features and there is covered off-road parking. The private pool (approx 8m x 4m) is surrounded with attractive planted areas and has an outside shower. Six sunbeds are provided and there are outside dining tables and chairs on the covered veranda. There is a gas barbecue. All gardens are illuminated at night. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and bathroom towels are provided (pool & beach towels are NOT provided). The villa is cleaned before arrival. Weekly interim cleaning is done and bedlinen and towels are changed weekly (all included in price). A free welcome pack is provided.
