Situated between Faro and Loule, with panoramic views including sea. Large plot with pool, patio, garden, covered parking and security. Two living rooms, one with sun windows. Three double bedrooms, all en suite. One bedroom has a sofa bed to sleep two extra. One bedroom downstairs - two can live only on this level - with two bedrooms upstairs. Large, well equipped kitchen, utility room. Washing machine, dish washer. Air con in upstairs bedrooms, electric heating in all rooms. Roof terrace. Plenty of storage. Washing machine, dryer, dish washer. The villa is a simple, safe drive up a hill, but a car is required. Easy reach to airport (10 mins), Loule town (5 mins), hypermarket (5 mins), restaurants (50 within 10 mins), Golden triangle resorts (15 mins), beaches (15 mins).

I'm British, was born in 1960, and retired early in 2010 from Shell. I married in 2012, acquiring two teenagers to go with my 22-year-old daughter from my former marriage. In July 2012, my family moved to spend much of our time in New York, but we will still visit Portugal and look forward to spending more and more time there one day.

(1) We stayed at the villa as a family of 7 bridging 3 generations and found the villa was a real home from home. The villa was beautiful, well maintained and really clean. It was very well equipped and hugely spacious. The sunroom/ conservatory was fantastic to sit in and eat a meal after the sun had gone down but still feel you were dining 'alfresco'. The bedrooms were large with en-suites to each room. The pool was clean with garden furniture for all and on and the gardens were immaculate. The house is fully gated so we were always confident that our 3 year old was not going to wander outside the perimeters of the house. Roof access allows you to enjoy a view to the sea and the mountains which at sunset is fantastic. The location was excellent.

(2) WE STAYED WITH A PARTY OF 5 ADULTS AND REALLY PLEASED WITH THE VILLA WITH A GREAT POOL LOVLEY GARDENS AND GREAT VIEWS

The perfect holiday location

The property is very spacious and well equipped. The pool is fabulous, as is the roof terrace which has spectacular views of the area. This villa is perfect for a group of friends or a large family. The villa was clean and well maintained and the owner is quick to reply to all enquires. We will be going back next year! Be sure to visit near by restaurants flor do sol and O grego if you visit.

We have just spent 10 days in Grahams villa and had a wonderful time, the Villa and its grounds are very clean and in a beautiful location, you will need a car, local town of loule is about 10 mins drive but apart from one restaurant which serves very nice food there is nothing around within walking distance. If you like the peace and quiet this is the villa for you, the pool is a good size and great fun although I feel it would have had more use had it of been heated, also no shade on the patio by the pool, this was a big problem for one of us as he had to sit inside quite a lot, there is shade around the other side of the house in the garden but apart from an umbrella, no shade poolside, maybe a pergola or an awning would be a good idea, there are lots of jigsaws and a couple of boardgames, cards etc which we took advantage of, the kitchen is very will equipped, overall the villa is great, plenty of room and beautifully located, Thanks you Graham, we had a brilliant holiday.

Winter Sun

We have enjoyed just over a week at Villa Rosser. The villa is extremely comfortable and well heated by electric storage heaters and a log burner in the lounge. It is an ideal retreat for winter sunshine with a well sheltered terrace facing almost due south. This means it picks up any sun that is going. We were lucky enough to have plenty of that.

It's only a short distance to Loule with its large Continte Supermarket, shops and restaurants. As the villa details state it's only ten minutes from the airport and the sophistication of the big coastal resorts are within easy reach.

To our mind, though, the beautiful countryside around the villa is one of its main attractions with easy walking straight from the front door.

Would we return. We certainly hope to.

Fantastic Villa and Location

Arrive at Faro airport. Pick up a hire car. Leave airport and follow Graham's excellent directions and in approx 15 minutes you have arrived at the villa. The villa is exactly as advertised. 3 double bedrooms all with ensuites and plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchen is large and has everything you could possibly need. Best of all though is the conservatory. The majority of our time was spent in here if we were not outside in/by the very large swimming pool. We had a few rainy days during our October stay, but we were still able to sit in here and admire the views. If you wanted to admire the countryside even more then head for the two terraces. Fantastic views from both. Take your cameras for some unforgettable views to the hills or the sea. Ideal location, close to the airport, close to Loule town, close to the hypermarket. A short drive from the villa and you can be down at the beach or into the hills. If you are into cycling then the hills around the villa is ideal - hire or bring your bike along. you'll not be disappointed. Our two weeks holiday went all too quickly. Graham you and your family have a lovely home. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay in your home. Lovely Location

The villa is accurately described regarding layout and facilities. We were delighted with the location, right in the country with fabulous views. It is also very peaceful. You do definitely need a car even though the villa is not far from the airport. The directions given by the owner were first rate and we had no trouble finding the property. The layout of the house is super and the pool was lovely. There are several patios to suit all needs. The roof terrace is great for the sundowner toast! It was clean and well presented. Having the use of a washing machine and dishwasher was great, especially as we had a baby with us. We mainly ate in and found the kitchen very good. We found it easy to get around to beaches and nearby towns in the car. It is a lovely area with plenty to do and see. We would definitely recommend this property.

Voor herhaling vatbaar / Worth repeating

Zeer veel waar voor het geld. Huisje wat gedateerd maar alles schoon en netjes. Top zwembad en mooie locatie. Restaurant om de hoek (Bonito's) zeker een aanrader. Heerlijk gegeten. Maar verwacht geen 4 sterren entourage. 1 klein minpuntje zijn de bedden. Deze zijn wat aan de korte kant voor wat langere mensen en de matrassen zijn met veren die behoorlijk in je rug steken. Maar gaan er zeker weer een keer heen.

Great value for the money. Cottage slightly dated but everything clean and tidy. Top pool and lovely location. Restaurant around the corner ( Bonito ) is highly recommended. Delicious eaten. But do not expect 4 stars entourage. 1 small minus are the beds. These are bit on the short side for taller people and the mattresses with springs stabbing properly in your back. But definitely go there again next time

I bought the property to enjoy immediately, for myself and the friends of my then teenage daughter. It was also with a view to creating an option to retire to at some point, with is still very much a possibility. Proximity to the airport was important for short trips. I looked at many possible areas before buying and am very happy with the choice. The Algarve is accessible, green, friendly, sufficiently developed and clean, and fun. Lisbon and Sevilla are excellent for day trips or overnight stops.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

All coastal facilities 15-20 drive away. Includes sandy beaches, marina, resorts, night life. Closest beach at Val de Lobo is 15 mins drive.

Travel:

Faro airport is 10 mins drive away.

Car hire is strongly recommended.

Distances:

Loule town (all amenities, market, artisan shops, restaurants, hypermarket, castle) is 5 mins drive away.

Almancil and golden triangle is 10 mins drive.

Albufeira is 20 mins drive.

Many excellent restaurants within 10 mins drive.

What I love the most is the peace. Sitting on the roof terrace with a glass of wine watching the sun set and the stars come out is heaven on earth. Have you noticed that we don't see many stars in Northern Europe cities these days, due to the air pollution? You notice the difference in the Algarve.
