Top villa at short distance from famous Meia Praia beaches (top 20 of the world). Lovely fishermen town at sea on walking distance just as some restaurants, supermarkets, bars and tennis courts. Villa set in a quiet prestigious ambiance and is fully surrounded by walled garden with nice views at Monchique Mountains and from roof terrace at Alvor sea-river. Large heated, lighted saltwater pool with outdoor shower is surrounded by covered and sun terraces. In subtropical garden with lawns and palm tree you also find a stone made BBQ. Outdoor covered terrace next to living with splendid pool and garden views is ideal for lunch, dinner and has sliding door to living with open fireplace, sat TV INCL.all UK CH. Wi-Fi internet, CD/DVD player and open connection with dining room. Master bedroom has bathroom en-suite and all bedrooms and kitchen are at one level. Please note that all bathrooms and kitchen were recently totaly renovated, included double glass windows. Villa has huge roof terrace offering all privacy.

Fabulous Villa and Great Location

As a family of 6 we were so impressed by the villa. It was so well equipped and had everything we could possibly need. During our stay we met both the cleaner and the gardener who were both friendly. I could not fault how well maintained the villa, pool and gardens were kept.

Gerrard the owner of the villa very kindly organised our taxi both to and from the villa as I said that we didn't wish to hire a car. The journey both ways was completely hassle free.

The villa is in a quiet area and only a 10 minute walk to the local supermarket. We popped there most days to get fresh bread etc for lunch. In the evenings we generally walked into Alvor/ Harbour (about 20 mins) where we ate out in many different restaurants, all of which were reasonably priced and served excellent food.

The beach was beautiful too.

To sum up, the whole holiday, was extremely relaxing, stress free and a lovely place to be as quiet or as busy as you like. We all loved it!

Relaxing family holiday.

Our Family (4 adults and two 7 year old girls) stayed in Ceu Pequeno in July and August 2015. We love our villa holidays and this one was definitely one of the best we've stayed in . It's spacious and extremely well equipped, with everything you might need provided. There are three large bedrooms, one en-suite, plus a bathroom and an additional shower room. There is also a room with children's bunk beds, plus a cot. The outside space is large and gorgeous, and the pool is a good size too (our girls made great use of it). There are also two separate seating areas and a built in barbecue. The photos really don't do it justice, it's so lovely.

The villa is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, and is about a fifteen minute walk to the local Pingo Doce supermarket. Alvor town centre is about another ten minute walk. The fabulous beaches are on the other side of town and although we used the car to get there, I expect it would take about 35 minutes to walk. Pingo Doce is a busy, reasonably priced supermarket, with a great selection of fresh fruit, veg, meat, and fish, as well as it's own bakery.

There are a couple of restaurants within about ten minutes walk if you don't want to venture far. We tried Al Capone, near the campsite and it was very good, especially the pizzas.

Airport transfers (Carlos Santana) and car hire (Polo) were both kindly arranged by Gerard, the villa owner, and both companies were very polite, punctual, and helpful. There's also a bus service but we didn't quite manage to work out the route or the timetable, but the taxis are very reasonably priced and can be booked by phone to pick up at the villa. During our stay, we visited nearby Lagos twice ( stunning), Praia de Rocha and Zoomarine and would recommend them all. Zoomarine was a great family day out, but mega busy, so get there early if you can.

The owner Gerard, is very helpful, making the admin side of the holiday straightforward and hassle free, and we would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday and a great base to explore the area.

Coast/Beach:

Very authentic town Alvor with traditional fishing heritage is at walking distance. This town at sea dominates the river with opening into the ocean. Here you find boulevard, terraces, cafes and restaurants. Near harbour area you can choose activities such as dolphins sea safari trips, deep sea fishing, sailing and boat trips. Here you also find the lovely beaches of Meia Praia with dunes and cliffs which many believe to be 20 best of the world.

Travel:

Faro is the nearest Airport. 40 minutes drive along the motorway IP1 to the villa.

Distances:

Alvor is at walking distance and beaches 5 minutes by car or "free" bus. Market and fishin poort Portimão 6 km, Monchique and top peak of Foia are at 40 minutes drive. West Coast beaches and Cape St. Vincent near Sagres 50 minutes drive. 30 Minutes to Zoo, Water world and Algarves biggest shopping mall.

Further Details:

In Alvor you find bank, chemist, supermarkets and private hospital. Big hypermarkets within 10 minutes drive to Portimão. Fishing and coastal sightseeing boat trips may be arranged along the quay in Alvor and Portimão.

  • Notes on accommodation: This villa build in Portuguese style was designed over one level including garden. Their are mosquito screens and shutters at all windows. There is a closed car park in front of the garage. Children are most welcome. Security and privacy was thoughtfully designed within its layout. Outside: Private lighted, heated saltwater pool 8 x 4m with isolation cover and outdoor shower. Terraces next to the pool with granite outside table, chairs and site lounges. Various terraces, included covered and roof terrace giving all clients sun, shade and privacy. The covered back side terrace has pool and garden view, stone made BBQ area and outdoor shower. At covered terrace enjoy a nightcap chilling out under the stars as the moon reflects in your own private pool. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine, iron and iron board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towel and linen service once a week, large beach/pool towels clients have to take care of their own. In case of using baby bed clients have to take care of baby sheets and blanket. Other: Air-conditioning and 24 hour ventilation system available in master bedroom.
