About the Owner

I love living in this wonderful part of North West Wales and am a bilingual speaker in Welsh and English .We have had a self catering cottage for at least 16 years and my husband and I know this area well having been brought up here .We are therefore able to advice you on local tourist attractions and sporting activities etc.The zip world experience in Bethesda is growing in popularity and everyone enjoys walking or taking the train up to Mount Snowdon- the highest mountain in England and Wales.North Wales in my view is rapidly becoming a outdoor activity mecca and there is also a wide range of local produce for quality food and local small scale breweries delivering an unique holiday !

Perfect stay

  • 5 of 5

This lovely little cottage was immaculately clean and the fire was set all ready for us. Lovely countryside location and well situated for many north wales attractions including mount snowdon. We felt immediately at home, and the owners were very welcoming - on hand if you need advice but leave you completely in peace otherwise. Our stay could not have been better.

As we wrote in the visitors book' the cottage was perfect for our needs. Set in a beautiful location with stunning views of the countryside.

It was spotlessly clean and the owners were helpful and friendly and Olwen even did our washing!

They left us in peace but were around if needed.

We would highly recommend this cottage to others as it was central to many attractions and there were many lovely walks nearby.

Well equipped & comfortable cottage in peaceful location. Good touring base for North Wales.

  • 4 of 5

Samuel cottage is well equipped - you just need to bring your food and clothes! Location is very peaceful and we enjoyed a cuppa on the patio watching the sheep.

Excellent base for touring the area. Caernarfon, Anglesey, Bangor, Llandudno and Portmeirion all within easy reach.

Samuel cottage - a lovely place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this lovely cottage enjoying this part of Wales for which it is ideally placed. We appreciated the quiet surroundings and the freedom to walk the fields next to the river, yet being in easy reach of many great places to visit. We enjoyed visiting the coast and walking the cycle path to Caernarfon and particularly stopping the steam train at the local halt to travel a very scenic route to Porthmadoc. The owners, Geraint and Olwen, are so friendly and helpful and are there if needed but never intrusive. We had lovely weather but it wouldn't have been a problem if the weather had not been so good as the cottage is so cosy to come back to with the log burner in the living room.

just perfect

  • 5 of 5

Just arrived back from a wonderful and relaxing stay in Samuel cottage. A beautiful cottage in the most peaceful and tranquil setting you could ask for. Alfie { cocker spaniel} loved his morning and evening dips in the river and running in the lovely fields. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make it a lovely and relaxing stay. Olwen and Geraint were very welcoming and made us feel at home instantly. The steam train to Porthmadog was a great experience a first for us using a halt stop one I would highly recommend. A beautiful part of North Wales with too many to mention .places to visit.. Would love to stay again as it was just perfect.!!!!!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was as described, in a beautiful place with everything you needed. The hosts were warm and welcoming and helped out with ideas and tips of where to go and what to see. It is a great place to stay to explore North Wales and Snowdonia, be it by foot, bike or car.

Location

From the Owner

We fell in love with the countryside and views from the cottage. The location is fantastic because you are within walking distance to village amenities but can enjoy peace and tranquility of the countryside and plenty of wildlife on our doorstep. There is private access to the riverbank and fishing is popular especially river trout. The Royal town of Caernarfon is within walking distance with may eateries and pubs and the Unesco Word heritage site of the castle
