About Elaine

My husband and I live in Derbyshire (UK) we both work and love taking holidays in our house in Cyprus. We have two sons and three beautiful Grandchildren. We chose this area to buy our property because it is a wonderful location with sea views from the front of the house and mountain views to the back. It is a five minute walk into the lovely traditional Cypriot village of Anarita. There you can find tavernas and restaurants which are highly recommended. The journey from Paphos airport to the house takes 10 minutes and the complex is very small with only 18 houses so if you like a chilled out holiday this is the perfect place to stay. There is plenty to see and do in Paphos only 15 minutes drive away. The unspoilt beach of Mandria is 5 minutes drive and we both love to spend time there.

Why Elaine chose Anarita

Having lived our lives in rural Derbyshire it would have been difficult to have bought in a town location.

Our house is less than ten minutes drive to the airport, two minutes drive to the motorway linking the main coastroad and five minutes walk into Anarita village but whether you are laying quietly by the poolside or sat on the patio front of house watching a spectacular Cyprus sunset you feel you are miles from anywhere.

Everything you need is at hand and let's face it after working hard in the UK all year why not spoil yourself. For the golf lovers there are three top quality golf courses close by. The nearest and newest is Elea which is set in spectacular scenery also over looking the sea. While the men are playing golf the ladies can treat themselves to a massage or wine and dine in the reasonably priced restaurant. In the evenings at Elea there is often entertainment and special nights arranged which are well worth a visit.

What makes this house unique

Our house is home from home, including TV, internet, and a set top box with English channels and limitless movie options if you prefer a quite night in.

Furnished to the highest standards you will understand why we think our house is special.From our extended patio you are straight into the pool but on the housefront you are private to look over open fields and onto the sea.

Remember it is a house not an apartment so no noise from up above.It is built by Pafilia who are renowned for going that extra mile in their building and the landscaping they provide for that luxury touch.

All our guests have left positive reviews and some have already been twice or more, they have also recommended family or friends to book with us.

Our first year has seen three families rebook for 2010. What better testimonial could we wish for? Elizabeth and James going in August said it was home from home and they got on with every one on the complex. Alan liked it so much he's gone back for twelve months on a long term let in the block opposite.

Fly screens all round are now fitted so windows and doors can remain open for a cooling through draft in the summer heat. It's a 5 minute walk into the village, with tavernas, supermarkets etc . A real boost to our house is the opening of ''Olivios'' a brand new bar and reasonably priced restaurant a short walk from the house,highly reccommended. Outside: The development comprises of only 18 properties, which makes it a very quiet and relaxing holiday. The property has it's own little private patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, with a gate leading onto the communal pool area with sunbeds and umbrellas. There are trees and plants on the complex and it has been landscaped beautifully. There is a good sized communal pool with showers and toilet facilities adjacent for your convenience. Utility Room: Washing machine etc is incorporated into the kitchen with iron, ironing board clothes airers, pegs etc. supplied Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Ample towels are supplied and a complete change of bedding for a two week rental. Extra towel and linen changes can be arranged as requested as can mid rental cleaning Other: Live UK TV is supplied via a set top box connected to the internet which works on a pay as you go scheme. Connection is from around one euro per day, this is much cheaper than'' roaming'' bills you can get lumbered with.

Beautiful spacious accommodation in quiet location

Very tastefully decorated and well equipped home from home. In a quiet location a short walk from the village. We managed without a rental car as we were only there for 4 days to attend a family wedding, but when we return for a longer stay we will rent a car and explore the area more.

Charlie and May who look after the property were lovely and very helpful. The pool area was delightful with only the sound of birds to be heard (we often had this to ourselves). The ice cream van visiting was a lovely and most welcome surprise as we certainly needed cooling down! We hope to return to Anarita in the future and would definitely choose to stay in this property.

Outstanding!

This is a beautiful town house, very tastefully furnished, well equipped and very comfortable. Located only a 5 min walk to a couple of good restaurants in Anarita, only a 5 min drive from Paphos airport (not in the flight path I might add!} and only a 20 min drive down to the amazing Paphos Harbour. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely house as we have been here twice already and looking to go back again next year.

Beautiful poolside apartment in peaceful setting

Me and my husband had a lovely holiday at this beautifully presented property a short drive from Paphos.

The apartment was decorated and furnished to a very high standard with all the mod cons we needed, including broadband, sky TV and air-con.

It was set in a small apartment complex which was well maintained, peaceful and set in beautiful countryside surroundings. The pool was cleaned daily and became our 'private' pool as no one else used it! The neighbours and local Cypriots we met were all very friendly and helpful, and gave us useful tips for excursions around the island.

The owners had left a really useful handbook with tips on local restaurants and things to do, which we also found really helpful. The local village was 5 mins walk from the apartment, which had great authentic places to eat and where we did our daily grocery shopping. We did also go to bigger supermarkets in Paphos to do a big shop once a week.

For the money we paid and the experience we had, this was definitely one of the best holidays we have ever had and we will definitely return in the near future.

Fantastic property in great location

Me and my 16-year-old son had a fantastic holiday in this very well equipped, spotlessly clean and perfectly located town house.

The complex itself is small and quiet, very clean (pool area cleaned twice a week) with mainly ex-pat residents who are very friendly and welcoming. The back garden looks onto the pool and is only yards from the water.

I’d say it was a twenty-minute drive to Paphos and 6 or 7 minutes to the beach. The villages of Mandria (5 minutes away) and Kooklia (10 minutes away) are buzzing at night with 5 or 6 quality eating places in each. I would say Anarita isn’t as busy but very nice all the same.

I would absolutely recommend the property to a couple and family or a couple just wanting to chill.

The owners, Elaine couldn’t be more helpful. The communication was excellent as was her advice.

I would highly recommend and I will certainly be back.

Coast/Beach:

The quiet long and unspoilt beach of Mandria is two miles away, with local tavernas and shops. An ideal spot to watch a fabulous Cyprus sunset. A short trip along the coast takes you to Kouklia (site of Aphrodites Temple and ancient Paphos) and on to Aphrodites Rocks (birthplace of Aphrodite, as seen in Botticellis painting Birth of Venus). Just minutes further on brings you to Pissouri beach with lavish beach bars and restaurants and a crescent bay to die for. 15 minutes and back to Anarita.

Travel:

Paphos Airport is 8 minutes drive away and a not expensive taxi fare but we must recommend car hire to get the best from this holiday. There is plenty to explore, both inland and on the coast for the more active people. Very much a 'do what you want when you want' type of holiday.

Distances:

A five minute walk takes you into Anarita with shops tavernas bus stops phone box etc. A two minute drive away is the main motorway link to all Southern Cyprus, 15 minutes into Paphos. Ten minutes East takes you to Secret Valley golf club and on to Pissouri and Aphrodites Rocks-See apartment maps. Drive west at the motorway link and in 15 minutes you are in Paphos with a multitude of shops supermarkets pubs clubs and restaurants edged of course by a series of bays and beaches and Paphos harbour.

Further Details:

Anarita is a short drive away from all the pleasures of Cyprus. It lies just above the humidity line, keeping it acceptable in the midsummer heat. 5 minutes drive takes you to Asprokremnos Dam for fishing or a country walk. Carry on and you are soon into the breathtaking views of the Troodos Mountains leading to the cool mountain air of Troodos town, surrounded by several wonderful walks that shouldn't be missed. If you head out to Paphos go a little further and discover the ancient Tombs of the Kings, one of many local ancient archaeological sites. The historic mosaic floors of the old Cypriat Villas are also well worth a visit nearby along with the Roman Amphitheatre. Fantastic walks spectacular Aphrodites Rock and fishing at Asprokremmos Dam are close by. Regular Anarita- Pahos-Coral Bay bus service. Bargain holiday plus cheap flights into Paphos with EasyJet and Thomson!
