Villa in Sandy Lane, near Holetown, St James, Barbados - Private Pool And Garden With Good Access To Amenities And Membership Of Private Beach Club

The Falls is a beautiful development of 20 villas and townhouses finished to a very high standard with coral render and shingle roofs. Villa 3 is located on the favoured North-East side of the development, away from any passers-by or traffic noise. It is a single storey two-bedroom unit and benefits from a large covered patio overlooking garden and parkland, with a private plunge pool and light and airy accommodation. There is a very well equipped kitchen, with large fridge freezer, cooker and microwave and separate laundry room with washer drier. Maid service is supplied, as is TV, phone and Internet access with Wi-Fi and a networked printer. Both bedrooms have en-suite facilities and air-conditioning. The property also features a covered car port and an additional cloakroom. The gated community has 24 hour security and has a communal clubhouse, gym and pool. Sandy Lane Beach is a short walk away, as is the private Beach House Club. Other amenities include a number of good golf courses. Transport links are excellent, and the area also boasts many high class restaurants such as Tides and The Cliff.

We have been visiting Barbados for the last twenty years and have fallen in love with the Island, its amenities, but especially the people. Having retired from the job which allowed us to visit so often, we have taken the plunge and bought our own property on the idyllic West Coast.

Why Andy Bradshaw chose St. James

In 2011 we did a 'whistle-stop' tour of the Island with a local agent, looking at properties within our price bracket in various locations. Our initial research on the internet had led us to believe that we could only afford in the cheaper South Coast area, but while we were on the Island, the price at The Falls was reduced, so we came up here to look. It was so much better than some that we had previously seen - well built, beautifully presented, and No 3 in particular has a lovely private garden and a peaceful location. We were entranced straight away and arranged to buy it within hours. Now every time we visit we still feel the same frisson at how lovely it is, and we have equipped and furnished it with care, using some of our own things from England which makes it a home from home for us.

What makes this villa unique

Beautiful house, in a safe and secure gated environment, minutes from Holetown for shopping, restaurants and nightlife, but in the evening, so quite and peaceful that you could be miles from anywhere. The approach from the highway down through Sandy Lane past hedges of bougainvillea is a wondrous experience, and then you spot the sea, glinting in the distance. Quite magical!

Fantastic villa - perfect location

We would really recommend Villa 3 for a holiday, we had such a peaceful and tranquil holiday - just what we needed. Its location is perfect for Holetown - it's walkable or the bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the property. The villa itself is located away from the road and often the only sounds that can be heard are the monkeys playing in the ravine or bird song.Everyone we met within The Falls was really friendly and helpful. The owners have equipped the Villa to a really high standard, and it was clean and well maintained. The owner Andy was brilliant, giving plenty of accurate information regarding the villa prior to our stay. What more can I say, seriously consider staying at Villa 3 if you decide to go to Barbados - we can't wait to able to visit again.

West Coast Stay

For those that want to savour the west coast without the formality of a hotel or the restriction of an all inclusive, then the falls is ideal. Great location with all amenities close by for self catering and getting around. This was our 7th time on the island but the first time in a villa and will absolutely go self catering again if we were to return.

The villa itself was spacious (we were 3 adults with golf clubs!) clean and well equipped. Everything required to quickly make this a home from home. Even UK power sockets!

Andy was a joy to correspond with, we were provided with all the info we needed well ahead of our visit and he even offered to help us obtain cricket tickets if we failed to do so ourselves.

This Villa is our home and is equipped and furnished to a standard well above normal rental accommodation. We share it with relatively few guests to help offset the costs of owning a property in such a super location.

The Rental includes an electricity allowance of 30kWh per day OR 40kWh when the second bedroom is booked and paid for. An additional £10 per night is charged to use of the second bedroom, and includes the higher electricity allowance.
