This beautifully appointed luxury beachfront apartment is located in the renowned and exclusive La Perla de la Bahia beach complex. This south west facing beach front Apt., has breathtaking sea views along the coast to Gibraltar and North Africa.

The Apt. has a very spacious living area, two large en-suite bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. A large south west facing balcony overlooks the pools and beach '

Set in amazing tropical gardens it is one of just 60 apartments in this Moorish designed complex. It has four swimming pools, one heated, 24 hour security and designated underground car parking with lift access.

An on site restaurant is open during high season and a Chiringito is located on the beach 200 metre from the complex. The luxurious Finca Cortesin Beach Club is located next door and is open to guests of La Perla at a daily charge.

Ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday or if its excitement you need, nightlife, clubs and bars are all located minutes away.

If golf is your thing then you are in golfers paradise, with up to a dozen courses within a 15 minute drive.

About Martin Mc Dermott

I am retired and live with my wife in Dublin Ireland. We purchased the apartment in 2000 and spend 6/8 weeks in La Perla each year. It is a home from home in a magnificent location, on the beach. We enjoy walking the beach to Sabinillas and Duquesa for morning coffee of evening dinner. We are golf lovers so really enjoy the selection of courses available in the surrounding area and of course the guarantee that you can play in the sunshine, unlike home. We love the apartment and the surrounding area which gives you the best mix of traditional Spanish culture and modern living. We love travel and have been to every continent , but we have yet to find a place to compare with La Perla and Estepona.

Why Martin Mc Dermott chose Casares

We purchased the property in 2000 as we were looking for a home in the sun, convenient to all amenities but away from the madding crowd. After spending some time researching various locations we happened upon the La Perla development and were immediately taken by its location and quality of design and finish.

The Apt we chose is south west facing so captures the the sun from early afternoon until sunset and has fantastic sea views. There is no more relaxing place than the balcony, watching the sun go down while sipping a glass of wine.

What makes this apartment unique

You will enjoy many benefits while holidaying at this apartment. You will enjoy hotel standards in an apartment setting. It has an office staffed Mon to Friday and telephone support at weekends. This is a gated secure complex of just 60 units with 24 hour security.

You are located right on the beach, but you can choose to relax by the pool. There are numerous fine restaurants close by and the best Chiringito (beach-bar) on the coast is just 200 mts away.

It is very well located if you would like to visit the many beautiful spanish towns and cities in Andalucia eg. Tarifa, Seville, Malaga, Ronda, Cadiz Marbella and Casares, and Gibraltar is only 30 mins away. It is a golfers paradise with 5 quality courses within 5 klm. Finally while a car is recommended there is a Taxi rank outside the complex.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is in a private gated complex of just 60 units. It is on the first floor with just the penthouse above and has lift access. The Apt. is fitted with a Fire Alarm. The apartment is fully air-conditioned, with a built-in safe for your valuables, has 24 hour security and own designated parking. There are 4 swimming pools (one heated) and beautiful tropical gardens. The complex has an on site restaurant open during high season and the best Chiringito on the coast is 200 metres away, open all year round but you must book during high season,. The apartment is in an idyllic location, right on the beach and perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, or if you need excitement, all the nightlife restaurants bars and clubs are just a few kilometers away in Sabinillis, Duquesa and Estepona. Car hire is recommended but there is a Taxi rank immediately outside the complex. Outside: The complex has 4 shared swimming pools, one heated, poolside showers, and plenty of sunbeds and chairs.The tropical gardens are spacious with a wonderful labyrinth of terracotta pathways and ceramic fountains, with beautiful lantern lighting at night time. The apartment has a large balcony with a table, four chairs and two sun loungers and is basked in sunshine until sundown. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and 1.5 sets of bath and hand towels provided per person. Prices include cleaning of the Apt. and laundry at the end of your stay. If further laundry /cleaning is required it can be arranged at reception, payable locally at your cost. Other: Large South West facing balcony off the lounge, overlooks two pools and has breathtaking sea views along the coast to Gibraltar

Beautiful Apartment with great views

With another couple we spent a most enjoyable week in this spacious and very well equipped apartment.The sea view is fantastic and we loved to relax on the balcony each morning and evening.The location is brilliant.La Perla is a high end well maintained complex with beautiful pools and grounds. We toured each day,parked up late afternoon and walked to nearby restaurants or others in villages such as Sabinillas along the promenade.

Wow - just wow!

We had the best time in this wonderful apartment with amazing views. Every finishing touch you could think of has been ticked off. The whole complex feels luxurious and is superbly maintained. We are a family of 4 with two teenage boys who loved the James Bond style entrance gates and garages - as well as reliable wifi! There is access to another pool too which is much bigger than the one pictured - perfect for my morning lengths. Sunbeds and shade were never an issue. A couple of minor domestic issues were dealt with very speedily by Martin who was most helpful throughout. We hired a car but walked into Sabillinas or Port Duquesa most nights and got a cab back. Lots of restaurants to choose from and market stalls to browse. The apartment is well placed for touring around - we enjoyed Mijas and Casares as well as Estepona. We flew into Malaga and out from Gibraltar - both very accessible. I don't think this can beaten for value/quality on this part of the coast and we would love to return one day ...

Fabulous apt with stunning view.

We have just returned from a fantastic 17 day holiday in La Perla da Bahia, on arrival we found the apt spotless, it's also very large, bright & airy, the beds were very comfy. It's very well equipped. The view was stunning, picture doesn't do it justice it's amazing. We had our two teenage children with us, they had great fun at the pool were they met some friends and loved the beach which is about 2min walk out the gate. We also could walk to sabinallas or Duquesea which was great. Location is perfect, La Perla is a beautiful complex very well kept, beautiful grounds. It's quiet and relaxing. The Wifi was perfect for teenagers. We hired a car and visited some very nice restaurants and towns along the coast. but on nights that we didn't drive we had gorgeous meals in the highly recommended chingruito on the beach just outside the apt. Martin was extremely helpful and his directions and info were perfect. I would certainly recommend this apt, it would suit families or couples of all ages. We certainly will return, I am missing the sun and view already. Thanks for a fab holiday.

Lovely Apartment in relaxing location

Spacious apartment in lovely location overlooking the pool with sea view. We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed the restaurants close by on the beach and also in Sabinillas a short walk along the promenade. Very relaxed environment with sun loungers always available around the pool. Supermarkets are a ten minute car ride away for food shopping. Drove from Malaga airport, but Gibralter airport is also an option. Martin the owner is very helpful and always responds promptly with information and advice.

Great Location

Apartment has a great location grounds were well kept and the heated pools a real bonus as we made good use of them most times had pool to ourselves . The apartment served all our needs and the view from balcony very pleasing.Did not think nearest beach bars served very good food only plus the location right by the sea restaurants in town much better, will return for another holiday thank you Martin

Beautiful Apt. in superb location

We have recently returned from our second holiday to this Apt. in La Perla, and it was even better than we had remembered. We really love this place.

The location overlooking the pools and beach is just stunning and the gated complex is beautifully maintained, while the lantern lit gardens are amazing at night time.

The Apt is very spacious and really has everything provided for your comfort. It is extremely clean and comfortable and has a feel of luxury about it.

The convenience of having two very good beach restaurants a two minute walk away was fantastic and there is a lovely Spanish restaurant a two minute drive away.

There is a lovely walk along the sea front and a visit to the nearby white washed village of Casares is a must.

We have no hesitation in giving this Apt a five star rating and highly recommending the Apt as a fabulous holiday location.

Ps. The owner Martin was most helpful and provided us with lots of useful information which helped to make our holiday even more enjoyable.

The beach, which is located directly in front of the Apt. is accessed by a private gate from the complex. The beach is vast, sandy and clean and goes all the way to Duquesa. Ideal too for an early morning or evening walk. The best Chiringito on the coast, open all year round, is located 200 metres away.


Malaga Airport is approx 50 miles away and Gibraltar is approximately 25 miles away. Both have motorway access to the complex. There is a bus service from Malaga to Marbella and a local bus service from there to Estepona. There is also a bus service to Estepona from Gibraltar. There is a Taxi rank just outside the complex however car hire is recommended


Sabinillas is one klm away (you can walk there on a boardwalk and paseo/walkway in 15 mins) .There you will find a good selection of supermarkets,restaurants and bars and a beautiful promenade. Duquesa is about 3 klm away and has a beautiful marina, it too has numerous restaurants bars and night clubs. Estepona 5 klm away still retains much of its Spanish character, has a stunning old town centre and modern port area. Great for shopping. Casares, Ronda, Porto Banus and Marbella are all nearby.

Further Details:

Petrol station and convenience store 200 metres away. Numerous Supermarkets and international banks in Sabinillas and Duquesa. Water parks, fishing trips dolphin watching trips all available locally as well as ferry trips to North Africa from the beautiful town of Tarifa about 40 minutes drive away.

Payment in UK pounds or Euro. A 25% non refundable deposit secures a booking with the balance payable 40 days before arrival. Baby Cot available for hire, on a weekly basis.

Changeover Day:
Preferred change over day is Sat or Sunday but will be flexible for bookings of two weeks or longer. Dep. time is 10.30 and arrivals from 16.30. Flexibility may be available so please ask if you need a later departure time. Late arrivals catered for.
