About the Owner

We first visited Porto Colom in 1998 and fell in love with the area.We bought our first house over 7 years ago and have been visiting the area ever since.It has lovely sandy beaches,a stunning Marina and attractive town. Our Casa is more a traditional style within walking distance of all the amenities. We like to deal with the whole package and have our English representative to meet all our guests so they can assist them when they arrive. They can discuss the area and the villa and make the guests feel at home very quickly. We can book restaurants for a special occasion or the taxi to and from the airport. If at any time you would like to discuss the property or the area in more detail then please feel free to contact us in person.

Great holiday apartment

We have stayed in this lovely apartment quite a few times now. The apartment is always very clean, well equipped and comfortable and Janine is very responsive if you need to ask her anything. Our daughter especially loves the large pool and the cafe is very handy too. Our only negative this time was that a lot of people reserved sunbeds making is difficult to find a spot unless you are up early. Hopefully the tougher restrictions on this will be reintroduced. Great location for local amenities such as restaurants and shops, and the hotel over the road has entertainment every night which anyone is free to go and see as long as you are buying drinks. We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return many more times.

Great place and locality

We have visited the property three years in a row which says a lot to what we think of the property and facilities. The property is always clean and well maintained. Janine is superb, always very responsive and helpful and close to all the attractions and restaurants. The pool could do with more seating in the summer months. Apartments like any other needs constant updating but we have always been very happy.

Beautiful Apartment ideally located

This was our third family holiday at the apartment and we are booked up to go this year. It is spacious for a family of six and fits us comfortably.It is well presented and all amenities are within walking distance. The swimming pool is perfect and our children love the pool. There is a nice bar that services snacks and drinks. This is an ideal holiday home for a couple or families wanting to relax and have a complete break.

Location

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Cala d'Or is made up of seven sandy beaches and all are safe for the younger swimmers. There are several beaches within a few minutes walk from the complex. Cala Mondrago is a natural park and well worth a visit, it is a ten minute drive away but can also be accessed by land train, taxi and bus.

Travel:

Palma is about a forty minute drive from Cala d'Or.

A car is not necessary as everything you need is within a ten minute walk. There is a good taxi/bus service if you would like to go further afield.

Distances:

The closest town is Cala Egos and only a five minute walk from the apartment. The Marina and center of Cala d'Or is about a twenty minute walk away.

Further Details:

There are many good quality restaurants in the area ranging from traditional Spanish dishes to Thai or English depending on your tastes. There are many well stocked supermarkets and shops within a five minute walk.

Locally if you fancy some evening entertainment then you can always use the local hotels.

Further afield you will find two good waterparks, one about a thirty minute drive away.

There are markets on most days in the local area.

  • Notes on accommodation: This beautiful apartment is furnished to a very high standard in an exclusive secure complex, with lush gardens, jacuzzi and children's section makes it a perfect base for families and couples. The complex is very close to all the amenities, restaurants, beaches and shops which means a car is not necessary. We can also supply a cot and highchair. Outside: Set in lush well maintained gardens with an Olympic size swimming pool, waterfalls and jacuzzi. There is also a children's section. Around the pool are plenty of sunloungers and parasols for shade. There is a snack bar on site which sells everything from drinks to light lunches and is only open to the residents from midday to early evening. This is a very secure complex and can only be accessed by a gate key which is just for residents giving peace of mind during your stay. There is outside and underground parking. Utility Room: Washing machine/dryer and cupboards. There is also an ironing board and iron. Inflatables and childrens toys are also stored here. There is also a private safe. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are supplied for your holiday. The apartment is cleaned once a week along with a change of towels and linen. Other: Large terrace with furniture overlooking the pool and gardens.
