About the property

Townhouse in Barmouth, Snowdonia, Gywnedd, North Wales, UK - Situated in the central high street In Barmouth close to all the amenities. 3 minute walk to beach

Extremely large, comfortable, well appointed Victorian townhouse with allocated off road parking( 40 metres away) that sleeps 14 in comfort in the heart of the town of Barmouth. Only a three minute walk to the beach. The rooms are mainly carpeted and furnished to a higher standard than the usual rental only accommodation as this is primarily our family holiday house . It lends itself to multiple occupancy due to having 2 large sitting rooms with tvs etc and a breakfast room with a cosy log burner so plenty of space for the children and adults alike to do their own thing and to have your own space Please note - 14 people could eat together if required by relocating the breakfast table into the dining room annexe. All the bedrooms are spacious( no cramming in) and we have invested in some expensive mattresses to ensure a comfortable nights sleep.( Having been a victim of dodgy mattresses ourselves). It really is a fantastic house for 2/3 families/ friends. The house is in a BT Wifi hotspot area.

About The Owner

David and Clare purchased this property in 2009 and extensively modernised it. The house has been used by family and friends who return frequently and we still enjoy numerous holidays there ourselves throughout the year. We and our young family continue to enjoy the fantastic beaches and beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside whilst still enjoying the proximity of Barmouth and its facilities.

The Owner purchased this house in 2009

Further Details:

Barmouth is a characterful family tourist destination with many interesting walks / biking trails/ Pony trekking nearby. All the towns amenities are close to hand. There are interesting walks from the doorstep to the hills behind the town

The big house

  • 4 of 5

The kids called Isgraig the big house which describes it spot on.We were Grandparents with our daughters/partners and 8 kids.It was perfect for us as we just wanted a basic place to accomodate us all without all the luxuries we would be affraid the kids broke. All the bedrooms were comfortable and clean.Bathroom and showeroom were great so adults got a quick shower and the kids had more time in the bath. Two lounges with big boxes of Lego and wii games, videos, games and books!Eating allowed us to have snacks near the kitchen and a few evening meals at the bigger table when the kids hit the sack.My wife said great kitchen and all you need to cook, lots of hot water for me to wash up!Chip shop few doors down and all the fun of a Welsh seaside town with loads to do.We were half hour late leaving as we tried to clean out the sandy hall, sorry to the next visitors.Great holiday in a great house. We will prob go again Thanks.

Everything you could possibly need

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at Iscraig a number of times and will hopefully stay there again. The location of the property couldn't be any better, with everything you need and more within walking distance. The beach is a stones throw away with not only views of the town but the mountains behind it.

There are so many things to do locally that you could never get bored. Shell Island, Barmouth Harbour, Harlech Castle, Cader Idris, Portmerion to name but a few. There is definitely something for all of the family.

The house itself again has everything you could need, plenty of room allowing everyone to get there own space, when needed. Kitchen, with Dishwasher and washing machine (although there is a laundrette within walking distance), plenty of bedrooms, an ensuite, bedroom with sink, bedroom with views and the list goes on. There are also two sitting rooms, which is ideal for when there are disagreements over what to watch. The house is also fully kitted out for children, with DVD's, a selection of games and much much more. There is also a large bathroom at the top of the house away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house, where you can enjoy a long soak in great big bath.

I would highly recommend this house for a short or longer break with the family or a break with friends. Cant wait to go back!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

I have visited this house twice, the first time was with my family (2 x kids) we all had a great time, the house was very inviting, clean, well laid out and plenty big enough for us all to have our own space, even my teenager. The second time was with a girlfriend of mine and her family, again plenty of room for the two families, lovely atmosphere in the house, 2 mins walk from the beach, 2 mins walk from town and 2 mins walk from the funfair and amusement arcade a real winner in my opinion for all the family and whatever you are looking for out of a holiday. Also very dog friendly I was allowed to take my lab who loved the beach and the lovely hill walks behind the house. I would recommend to all of my friends and family for the house itself and its location.
