I live in the UK with my husband,Martin.We live by a river and have ducks and a pair of swans (Brian & Brenda) for neighbours. I work in the airline industry,at Heathrow airport.We both enjoy travelling;loving the fact we can spend time in Elviria and its only a few hours away.We enjoy going to other destinations too but Spain will always be close to my heart.My Mum was Spanish and I have great childhood memories of spending days on the beach,enjoying the sunshine.I hope the traits I have picked up from my Mum are the pleasures in looking after other people (probably why I work as cabin crew) and also extending my home to others.There is a saying "Mi casa es su casa" "My home is your home" which sums it up for me.

Why Anita Cummins chose Marbella area

Well, there was no question about picking this part of Spain as it was somewhere I already knew and loved. It has such significant, special and happy memories for me. This part of Spain has changed immensely over the years, many aspects for the better and Elviria has become a stylishly developed area, populated with good quality housing. Elviria is only 30/40 minutes by car from Malaga airport, Fuengirola, Marbella and Puerto Banus are all 10/20 minutes away. I'm probably biased, but I do believe Elviria to be a great holiday destination for all age groups.

What makes this apartment unique

El Mirador is an attractive complex which has well groomed luscious green grounds.The apartment is set back away from the busy beach zone with views overlooking the tranquil hills and the fantastic Santa Maria Golf Course; however the beach is still within easy reach.This apartment offers peace and quiet whilst still being convenient. I use the benefits of a management company,who keep an eye on the property:dealing with day to day queries,and managing the keys, they also offer other services such as airport pickups etc; based in Elviria so you can have complete peace of mind during your stay. You have a huge choice of properties to choose from; why pick mine? Well, I think the apartment is well priced - its good value for money and it will always be a comfortable home for you to enjoy.

Lovely apartment

I stayed a week at this lovely apartment in el mirador Elviria. The apartment literally has everything you could possibly need and more!

We arrived late on the Saturday night and when we got there we were left an overnight hamper which had lots of food and drink essentials aswell as other goodies which was so kind and thoughtful.

There are plenty of pools on the complex and beaches near by aswell as great places to eat and drink.

The apartment was immaculate and had a lovely homely feel to it.

The owner Anita was extremely helpful from when we initially enquired about the apartment right up until our holiday was over.

I will definitely be staying at this apartment again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Lovely Apartmemt - Peaceful & Relaxing

My daughters and I just wanted some chill time by a pool to relax - a big ask in the middle of August during the school holidays. However that's exactly what we got and the majority of the time we had the pool to ourselves which was a real bonus. The apartment was immaculately clean and well equipped and was in a very quiet area. However we didn't have to go far to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets a taxi ride down the hill which cost less than 10 euros between us. It is walkable taking about 20 mins. The owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with and couldn't have been more helpful. The only reason for the 4 stars was the fact that there wasn't a shop nearer but as long as you are organised it is not an issue. I would definitely recommend it to friends and hope to return in the future

Excellent Apartment

My family and I stayed at this lovely apartment for the first two weeks of April 2014.

The apartment is very well furnished, including a washing machine, and has views overlooking the countryside and Santa Maria golf course. The television has a number of English channels available including BBC and Sky News (we watched the Commonwealth Games whilst they were on). The air-conditioning was excellent and with temperatures in the 90's, stood the test without issue.

The complex has a number of pools and we had the use of one of the pools all to ourselves for most of the days.

The apartment is a 25 minute stroll downhill to Elviria. I'd recommend jumping in a taxi for the trip back up the hill (around £5).

And lastly a highlight for us was watching the shooting stars from the balcony each evening, accompanied by an extremely reasonably priced Rioja

Wonderful apartment + beautiful place

This was a holiday we had been looking forward to for a long time, our first as a family. As we have 2 Children under 7 I wanted somewhere close to beaches, with great pools and local amenities. I wasn't disappointed.

The apartment was wonderful, it was spotlessly clean throughout and the surrounding grounds and pools were beautiful and well maintained. The apartment provided us with a real home from home with everything a family could need to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

We hired a car on the advice of Anita the owner and due to the position of the apartment I would also recommend this. The apartment is up into the hills of elviria with fantastic views of the golf course. The journey into the town or Beach is walkable, but not for young children. (Some adults would struggle).

Beaches, shops and restaurants are a few minutes drive away and there is a great selection. We particully like the beach house restaurant which has live music (pricey though and need to book) and Le perla Blanca which is right on the beach.

We really had a fantastic holiday and Anita was incredibly helpful from the outset. Answering my many questions and providing great advice.

I usually recommend car hire unless I know that someone doesn't want to drive whilst on holiday. It's important to let guests know the location of the apartment straight from the onset. Having said that it's still walkable down to the shops and restaurants and to the beach (if you enjoy walking, that is!) On my part, you were a pleasure to correspond with and I hope I can offer my apartment to you another time.

A lovely break.

I will begin this review by highly recommending this apartment. On arrival it was very clean with towels/linen and all things required to hand such as spare bed covers if needed (necessary in February)!! There were many useful, but not essential items provided making the place feel homely (decent hair dryer, kitchen utensils and even a phone charger to name a few), which actually make it a lot easier to travel light on future visits.

All email contact with Anita (owner) and all the information she provided in the apartment on arrival has been fantastic. Very informative and any queries/questions I've had have been swiftly answered. The property management company that Anita uses were also very good. All round the customer service has been great. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and relatives and will certainly be returning myself in the near future.

I cannot comment on the outdoor facilities (swimming pools etc) as I visited in February and although we had a beautiful, sunny few days, it was not sunbathing weather and so mainly used the apartment for relaxing in.

A genuinely lovely break. Thank you.

Excellent property!!

Have just returned from a 10 day holiday with my husband and 3 young boys. The apartment is exactly as described with every attention to detail and everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. Its well maintained and clean. It has a good selection of pools which my boys loved and also about a 5 min drive to the beach and the lovely Don Carlos hotel. We were give excellent advice from Anita from the moment we booked and every detail in relation to directions to apartment and collection of keys was spot on. We will definitely be returning and a big thank you to Anita.

Bistro table, which can be extended, 4 chairs and 4 trendy sun loungers. There is also an outside tap, lighting and ornamental garden plants. An ideal place to have a cup of tea or coffee or a rather nice sun downer. A good place to read one of the many books on offer or do the crossword or sudoku. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels provided. A mid stay linen change will be provided for bookings of 2 weeks or more. Please bring your own beach towels.
