About the Owner

I fell in love with the Chateau and surrounding, spectacular countryside having visited the area on a number of occasions. As a real Francophile, it had been my dream to have a bolt hole in France, so I bought the apartment in 2003 and haven't looked back! It's a very special place, tranquil, beautiful and a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of my busy life in the UK!

We have to admit this was the most perfect, romantic, sweet, charming get-away we could have had for our honeymoon! Thank you for your kindness, thank you for all the details you have thought of and the amazing experience you have given us. Everything in this sweet studio is here to make one feel "the good life". We are so sad to leave. Ruth and Liron, Israel.

We really could not believe how lucky we were to find such a lovely place to stay in such a wonderful part of France. The studio was just perfect inside and out - very pretty, clean, cosy and well kitted out with everything we needed for a romantic and chilled out holiday. We ventured beyond the village to find the most stunning scenery - beautiful lakes, villages and market towns, the gorge and lavender fields. Booking was very straight forward and Jackie provided us with everything we needed to know. We definitely recommend it! Thanks for a great holiday Jackie! Debbie & Gerry July 2013

A special find in Provence

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Jackie's lovely apartment in May...it's well-equipped, stylishly done and comfortable. The Chateau and its grounds are set in the most beautiful countryside and we were able to explore not only the local area which is absolutely stunning (don't miss the Lac St Croix and the Gorges du Verdon!) but also had a couple of day trips to the coast as well. We spent our time browsing the many wonderful markets in the area, playing tennis on the brand-new court and of course lounging by the pool! We were able to barbecue in the grounds in the evening and even fit in a game of Boules! it was the most perfect relaxing holiday and we hope to be back! It's rather a special find!

Wonderful place

  • 4 of 5

A wonderfully relaxing stay in a fantastic place. We particularly enjoyed visiting Lac St Croix (a short drive away) for swimming and soaking up the amazing views. The apartment is kitted out with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay - picnic boxes, BBQ, deckchairs, tennis racquets - and the chateaux is charming too (great to have a decent sized swimming pool) with the local restaurant just 2 mins up the road. 4* because we did find the studio a little hot (even with the roof windows open and fans on), but we were there at the hottest time of year. Highly recommended

Chateau Life

  • 4 of 5

The Chateau was an excellent getaway from all the city hustle & bustle. Great outdoor pool very quiet shared with other guests but this was actually very minimal during the stay. Fantastic outdoor space with room to have BBQ facilities for each apartment and not even be next to one another. The tennis court was a superb addition which was great to be able to play on. Good selection of videos (yes videos) & CD’s to choose from. The small town of Quinson was lovely and recommend trying one of their electric boats and dinning at Hotel Relais Notre Dame wonderful. All in all great time, do be prepared for the walk up the steps to the apartment certainly from the second floor up.

Not a bad negative but 4* only due to the fact the apartment does not have a balcony view which would give it 5*.

Thanks for the experience Jackie

a week in provence

  • 4 of 5

Had a wonderful time staying in Provence using Jackie's lovely apartment as a base. I would thoroughly recommend the Chateau, the pool was lovely if a little cool at times! We mostly had it to ourselves. The surrounding areas offer plenty to do and see. We went to market days at Reiz and Aups. Then there are other attractions such as the Gorges du Verdon and plenty more besides. There is a little Pizzeria/restaurant 2 mins walk from Chateau that does lovely food. However if you require other places to eat then you need to go further afield. The lavender was in full bloom whilst we were there and it was one of our primary reasons for going. There was a fantastic lavender field a mere few mins walk from the chateau. If you like lavender then this area shouldn't disappoint. All in all we had a lovely time we drank wine, ate cheese and baguette, played tennis on the court at the Chateau, had days out, swam, watched videos till late in the evening and just relaxed. Wish I was still there! Go and enjoy!

Great

  • 5 of 5

Just had the fabulous week in this quaint little apartment situated on the top floor of an amazing chateau (although the steps are not for the faint hearted). It was well equipped and well looked after. The nearby Gorge de Verdon is breath-taking and well worth a visit as are the surrounding villages with their quaint cobble street and fabulous restaurants. Although it could get rather hot at times, I would defiantly recommend this for a romantic peaceful getaway.

A Perfect Romatic Holiday for Two!

  • 4 of 5

We really could not believe how lucky we were to find such a lovely place to stay in such a wonderful part of France. The studio was just perfect inside and out - very pretty, clean, cosy and well kitted out with everything we needed for a romantic and chilled out holiday. We made the most of the swimming pool and tennis courts at the chateau and ventured beyond the village in our hire car to find the most stunning scenery - beautiful lakes, villages and market towns, the gorge and lavender fields. The weather was fantastic and we enjoyed long sunny days with lots of good local food and wine. Booking was very straight forward and Jackie provided us with everything we needed to know before we arrived on what to do and see. We definitely recommend it! Thanks for a great holiday Jackie!
