Guestbook comments from the owner

"We had a wonderful 4 days in the Engineers House, plenty of space, the kitchen utilities were perfect, much fun round the dining table, beds most comfortable and the icing on the cake was the weather, what else could you want!"

Impressive property, good location

  • 4 of 5

This is an ideal house for a group of friends or an extended family. Plenty of room and the bedrooms can be set up for couples, friends, children etc.

The owner's representative met us on arrival to explain the electric gates, heating and hot water. The beds were made up as requested.

Our minor points: the house lacked character and homely features such as bedroom curtains (only blinds) or pictures. The property was clean but needs a spuce up as there were some paint chips on the walls and the cooker hood didn't work. Nothing major but just needs a little t.l.c

Great location for exploring Canterbury and the coast from Whitstable around to Dungeness. Directions were great and good communication with owners.

Huge property in a beautiful location

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay at the Old Engineers House this weekend. The house is huge - particularly the generous bedrooms and relaxing living room. Despite this, the house still felt cosy and comfortable.

The house is set in the glorious Kent countryside with wonderful views across local farmland.

We loved our stay. Thank you x

Great for a group holiday

  • 4 of 5

This house really does have the amazing countryside views shown in the picture. Perfectly suited to our party of 8 with lovely walks and a local farm shop if the weather's nice and a big tv if its not. The house is detached, and it was nice not to have to worry about being too noisy. The owners were really helpful. The only thing that could have improved it would have been a few more pans to make cooking for a big group easier. Other than that it was perfect.
