Truly lovely!

  • 5 of 5

We found the accommodation to be exactly as described in the literature. So often a booking does not live up to expectations - in this instance, however, our expectations were exceeded. The property was spotlessly clean and really was a home from home in terms of the equipment/items that it contained. We enjoyed reading on the terrace (which offered privacy) and swimming in the clean and well-maintained pool which is located very close to the house. Sinead provided a lot of helpful information about the surrounding area. We were without a car but did not find this to be a problem - the journey to and from the airport can be done quite easily by public transport and the centre of Pezenas itself is a short walk away from the house. Buses are cheap in France and we also visited nearby Beziers. I would have no hesitation in recommending the property and the area to friends and family.

Just Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this really lovely villa, everything was perfect for our family of four which included two teenagers. In particular with teenagers in mind, the WiFi was very good. The property was well equipped and the terrace was a great size with sun from 7 am till at least 7 pm. We had all our meals outside. The house is very close to the pool area which was great for our kids and the pool was never very busy. The walk into Pezanas was all flat and took just over 10 mins, great to be close but not too close. There is so much to see in the area. Highly recommend Montpellier which is about an hour away and the Jazz Festival in Saint Thiebery which was about a 15 mins drive away. Also our kids loved Euro Park in Vias which was much better value than taking them to Aqualand. We would definitely recommend this Villa and Sinead was extremely helpful and friendly, giving us lots of information, she couldn't have done any more. Thank you for providing such a great base for our stay in the South of France. We have made some amazing memories and I am sure we will be returning.

Beautiful home in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

Villa Isabelle is a picturesque, comfortable, and well equipped home. The layout is spacious with a lovely terrace. Upon arrival we were struck by how clean and well maintained the property is. All the little things you may require on holiday have been thought about. Wifi is excellent and the stunning pool is only a few steps away. We ventured into Pezenas most days and were very impressed with the atmosphere there. The buildings are beautiful and we felt we got a glimpse of the authentic, traditional French way of life. We enjoyed the local wine too! Having two young children, we were more than happy to spend most of our time at the Villa itself. The complex is very peaceful and secure. We look forward to returning and would have no hesitation in recommending to friends. Customer service is most excellent. Little touches like the very comprehensive guide to the Villa and the local area were most welcome.

A wonderful holiday.

Audrey & Frank.

Villa Isabella was exactly as described and all the facilities were well maintained and very clean. The location is perfect, and the gated domaine is secure and well looked after. The pool was a pleasure to use, clean and never too crowded. Dealing with Sinead was easy and very pleasant. She was very helpful during the booking process, leading up to, and after our holiday. During the stay there was a minor issue with the hot water, and it was resolved very promptly without any fuss through the local contact person.

We would definitely recommend this property and plan to return.

Pezenas is a great historic town, with so much going on. A beautiful place for an evening meal, and stroll, shopping or just soaking up the atmosphere.

The surrounding region is packed with so much to do for young families or couples. Beaches, harbours, horse riding, forest rope climbs, historic towns/villages, kayaking. The list is endless. We especially enjoyed the Pedolrail for some early evening fun!

Can’t wait to return..

Thank you Sinead for helping to make our holiday one to remember and cherish.

Villa Isabelle - Pezenas

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing, comfortable stay at Villa Isabelle. The villa was exactly as described in the listing, it was a home away from home. The level of equipment was very good and we found the villa spotlessly clean on arrival with the property tastefully decorated and well-maintained.

The owners were very quick to respond to emails and gave us lots of information on the villa and the local area prior to our stay.

I would highly recommend this villa.

A Family Hub for Languedoc-Roussillon

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at the Villa and in Pezenas and we've already booked for 2016.

Why? Because the accommodation is just what you need, quiet and peaceful and very child safe/friendly. Beyond the Domaine and you have quick access into the magical old Town, its restaurants and shops.

And Pezenas is also a great base to discover Carcassonne, Narbonne, Montpellier, Sete and Beziers - whether you're after great beaches, wine, cathar history or an aquarium, they're all very close!

Owner's Response: Andrew, thank you for taking the time to post a review - yes, Pézenas is very well located for daytrips within Languedoc and in close proximity to two major routes - north inland to Paris and East-West to Spain and beyond. Many of our guests take advantage of the excellent motorway system to daytrip, with the Spanish border/Costa Brava coastline only 75 minutes away. We look forward to welcoming you again next year. Regards, Sinead

From the Owner

"Le Coteau Moliere" is a secure, gated complex with attractive landscaping and vegetation; it features a spotlessly clean pool area, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Domaine is located a 10 minute walk to the centre of Pézenas town, with excellent facilities and charming character. Enjoy the Mediterranean climate, superb motorway & airport access from Pézenas, and a variety of holiday experiences- fabulous beach resorts, excellent shopping in Montpellier, miles of scenic vineyards, small towns with buckets of French charm, terrific street markets, and finally - there's nothing nicer than an evening BBQ on our terrasse.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Cycling. We have route maps of suggested cycling routes in the area, ranging from a casual Sunday spin, to category climbs. There are also two very welcoming clubs in the area- Pézenas VCLL, and Montagnac AC. The roads are beautifully surfaced, and quiet; the scenic landscape is undulating, miles and miles of vineyards, cycling in this region is quite simply heaven! We can also offer our garage to secure your bike at the end of the day, at no extra charge. The garage is located close to the villa.

As you would expect from its proximity to the Mediterranean, there's a huge choice of beaches in the area. Cap d’Agde is the most popular beach resort in Languedoc: we can recommend Grau d'Agde, with playground, restaurants and other amenities, or Tamarissiere, a beautiful unspoilt and family-friendly beach (shallow, flat calm water). Meze is a lively, fishing port with great beach, restaurants and amenities. All beaches 20 mins/20 kms away.

Driving: Pézenas is 10-12 hours drive from Calais via the A75, and 9.5 hours from Cherbourg.

Flights: Low cost airlines fly to Beziers (20 mins), Montpellier (40 mins), Carcassonne (60 mins), Perpignan (60 mins), Nimes (60 mins), Rodez (110 mins), Girona (110 mins). Try Ryanair, Easyjet, Flybe and Aer Lingus. A car is essential to enjoy the best of the region.

The villa is located in the Coteau Moliere, a gated domaine located at the edge of Pézenas. It's a 1km stroll to the old town, a 2 minute drive to a variety of excellent shops and supermarkets (Carrefour and Intermarché - both have excellent fish counters, also Aldi and Lidl), 2 organic produce shops and a McDonalds with outdoor play area (not very French but always appreciated by the kids). There's a secluded and shaded playground in a park 5 minutes walk away - a haven on a hot afternoon.

Further Details:

Pézenas Town. Pézenas is a medieval French market town with authentic Mediterranean character. Fantastic Saturday market, lots of restaurants, traditional bakeries, cafés and wine bars. Markets. The Pézenas Saturday market is considered "best in region". Great food abounds - don't miss it wherever you choose to stay.

Canal du Midi. World famous - cycle through the villages along the route, it's very calm and picturesque.

Cycling/scenery. Very scenic French roads around locality - some small roads, amazing views and off the beaten track.

Tennis – locally available in town.

Horse riding - a number of trekking stables within 5km radius of the town. (Check Pézenas tourist office website for details).

Lac de Salagou – inland lake 25 mins north of Pézenas. Stunning scenery.

Kids. Aqualand (Cap d'Agde), Dinosaur Museum (on the road to Montagnac, 10 mins), Planetarium (Montpellier), Aquarium (Montpellier), Espace Grand Bleu (Indoor and outdoor pool complex and recreation areas in La Grande Motte). La forêt d'Acrobates - check out their website, looks fun!

Shopping. Don't miss the Odyesseum Shopping Centre in Montpellier (exit 29) - Zara, H&M, Mango and many more. Great restaurants, cinema, aquarium, bowling, etc. Montpellier itself is known as the Paris of the South, a well-deserved title. It's simply beautiful, chic, young and friendly.

Aigues Mortes/Camargue. A one hour drive - beautiful, fortified town - walk along the ramparts, enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants. Watch for flamingos in the wetland lagoons.

Carcassonne. World-renowned, medieval castle in a spectacular setting. Lots of tourist shops and many restaurants. A great attraction for kids and big kids.

Toulouse - 1hr50mins - Airbus Factory Tour, Aviation Museum.

Spanish Border

1 hr45: Figueres- home to the wonderfully eccentric Dali museum. Barcelona - 2 hrs45 on motorway. A visit to Collioure is highly recommended, and the stunning Cotes Vermeille coastline.
