Great property with a wonderful view,lots of space and equipment in quiet setting , great welcome.

The property was as described and was clean and well maintained, and the pool was large . The owner provided excellent and friendly service and the mid-week cleaning team were very effective and friendly. The owner was flexible about timings for arrival and departure.

The setting is wonderful with views across the valley to the village of Fayence , and it was quiet without being isolated.

The village was easy to access by car and has all the cafes and restaurants and shops necessary. There are several Supermarkets nearby.

The villa has lots of equipment and space and is well maintained and the space is flexible so that it worked well for our mix of grandparents,parents and children and a baby.

I would be happy to recommend this villa to friends and relatives.

Overall, the villa provided a base for a very successful holiday and a lot of the this was due to the friendly, helpful and relaxed attitude of the owner.

Lovely villa

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks here. Great villa, very well equipped with a lovely pool. Would definitely recommend it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was no air conditioning upstairs, other than that it was ideal.

Beautiful holiday home

Before arrival Jean-Pierre was very helpful answering any queries we had. On arrival he met us to let us in and show us the property, also treating us to a welcome glass of Rose. The property is very well equipped with everything you could need. The pool is perfect, views and garden beautiful, we enjoyed many sunny breakfasts on the terrace, the property is also very generous.

I would love to go back sometime - it is perfect! Jean-Pierre is extremely helpful, gave us information on anything we needed and when we had a couple of minor hiccups dealt with them without delay. We would highly recommend this property.

Villa La Grette Fayence

Family Luxury Villa

We were greeted on our arrival by our wonderful Host Jean Pierre who kindly met us at the local supermarket as we were lost, the villa is in a magnificent setting in the hillsides, fantastic views, beautiful good sized pool, ample parking, there were 6 adults and one child in our family party, bedrooms clean spacious, 2 kitchens one outside which was a dream in the hot weather, the pantry had every utensil we would need to use, we actually could not fault it!! We stayed there everyday to make the most of it apart from a day in Monte Carlo, the local town up the hill has lovely shops, markets and restaurants. Wonderful big local supermarket which we visited each day to stock up and Jean Pierre even took us to the local wine yard which had good local quality wine to sample and purchase. We Would highly recommend this beautiful villa, and compliment our host for his effects to make our holiday such a brilliant experience, we will be back.

Just Exceptional Great place!!

We Booked Villa la Grette for 5 weeks my special birthday year to enjoy time with family and good friends. The villa is exactly as it appears in the photographs and the view of Fayence is stunning. Jean Pierre, the owner, could not have been more helpful with suggestions for restaurants, vineyards to visit etc. It is a great villa for the family and the pool is a fantastic size and well positioned. Both Fayence and Seillans are close by and have all the facilities you need. The caretakers of the villa, Christoph and Magali, are also very enchanting. Magali offers a wonderful service where she will cook a meal and deliver it to your villa. The food is wonderful and good value. Also try the wine tasting at the local vineyard by the small chapel. Allain, the ower, is very hospitable and offers many good value wines. We would definitely go back.

Special interest holidays:

Lac St Cassien with all its sporting attractions is very nearby. Seillans, Callian, Montauroux and Grasse, Mougins, Draguignan, St. Tropez, Cannes, St. Paul de Vence and Nice all well within 1 hour. The Mediterranean beaches at Cannes, Frejus and St Raphael can be reached in about 45 minutes by car. The Italian border is only 100km away so day trips abroad are no problem! you can devote you in the shiver which offers the biggest center of Gliding of Europe and to finish in one of wonderful restoring that conceals the country(soil). One thousand one places are to be discovered and the activities do not miss. All the good addresses and the good plans will be at your disposal.

Coast/Beach:

Beach of Côte d'Azur Cannes St Tropez are in 30km.

The mountain and the rivers are 40km.

The lake of St Cassien is 12km.

Travel:

Nearest international airport Nice at 27 miles. Nearest railway station Mandelieu at 15 miles. Nearest motorway junction A8 Junction 39 at 5 miles. Car is necessary.

Distances:

Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Juan Les Pins and the other fashionable resorts of the Cote d'Azur are all within easy reach from Fayence but the coast gets extremely busy in the summer and those who prefer a more leisurely environment may prefer to explore the historical villages in the region: Mons, Callian, Bargemon and St Cezaire. The Gorges of Verdon and Siagne are wonderful sights. A wide range of restaurants can be found, both in the village and in the valley, providing regional recipes.

Further Details:

Fayence has a colourful local market in the village square 3 times a week. Here you will find local pottery and fabrics as well as fresh vegetables, cheeses and local specialties. Near-by is the local Marché Paysan (Farmers Market) which is open 6 days a week in the summer. Farmers from the local area bring their own produce fresh each morning to the market. Produce rarely seen at home can be found - white aubergines and courgettes flowers, for example. Eggs sold here are fresh from the hen and you can pick your own salads from a huge variety of leaves. Browse around the shelves of farm produce for locally made cheeses, wines and preserves.
