The property boasts a roof terrace with table, chairs & sun loungers for the exclusive use of guests. This has far reaching 360° views including Vejer itself, Medina Sidonia, the surrounding countryside & across the sea, on a clear day to Morocco

Perfect Location

Vejer De La Frontera is a charming town, with a very Spanish feel and many lovely restaurants and bars. It is also a great place from which to explore other parts of the Costa De La Luz. The property is located within the old town walls in a really good position for the main Plaza and many good viewpoints. The free, main car park is not particularly near to the property and although most days it was not too much of a problem for us, it can be difficult to find parking if it is busy in the town. The apartment had a fabulous roof terrace with views over the town, across the countryside and down to the coast towards Morocco. The owner and the agents were extremely helpful and overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

Great location with a wonderful terrace in a beautiful town

Simple, homely, comfortable flat that is great for 2 people. No frills but we loved it particularly for its roof terrace. Great location particularly for enjoying evenings in the old part of Vejer.

Not suitable for cold weather

We unfortunately found ourselves in the South of Spain in March in cold weather and the apartment isn’t really kitted out for this. There was a heater and blanket, but when we arrived, the bedroom smelt a little of mould (I assume we were the first to use the place this year, and with the warm weather this would no doubt go). There was a general lack of care with the apartment – it was clean but the light fitting in the bedroom was half hanging off, the furniture on the terrace is not as pictured but plastic chairs in plastic table, and a box of broken furniture in the corner. It was a little too windy to be on the terrace, but again, this probably won’t be the case when the weather is nice. In the bedroom there were two big bags full of extra bedding, but this smelt quite strongly of mould. We should have checked, but there is no Wifi in there, though you can purchase a week’s wifi for around £10 (this will only work on the terrace). The shower and bathroom is small, but clean and fine. The kitchen is also fine. I think it was mainly bad luck with the weather, but there was a sense that the owners have never lived in the apartment and therefore didn’t know the little issues in there (like the kitchen stools being a tad too high and therefore uncomfortable). We generally spend time out of the apartment as it was cold and generally uncomfortable (we could see our breath in the morning). The town is very lovely and the surrounding areas also.

An absolute gem

Just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at Casa Alta in Vejer. The apartment's location could not be more perfect - set within the old town walls, near the main plazas, shops and surrounded by lots of great restaurants. Casa Alta is clean, comfortable and kitted out with everything you could need, and the roof terrace is amazing, with stunning views of the town and surrounding countryside. Lots of fantastic beaches nearby and easy access by road to other cities. The letting agency were helpful, friendly and gave local information beforehand and on arrival. Jerez airport is a very easy 1 hour drive away. Vejer is a gorgeous hilltop town - not too touristy, yet it still has everything a visitor would want!
