Coastal, rural, traditional Gite (sleeps 2/3) set in a tranquil 6 acre rural setting on a private lane close to beaches, markets, supermarkets and restaurants. Cycling distance from local beaches, boulangerie and tennis courts. Nearest village - Nevez, and only minutes away from Pot Aven with its galleries, restaurants and charm. The Old Dairy comprises one mezzanine floor bedroom, a compact kitchen, separate bathroom and kitchen. There is a cosy wood burner (in addition to full electric heating), TV and Apple TV, patio with sun loungers and BBQ.

Kervec is a charming old world Breton Farmhouse with stone walls 3 feet thick and two huge granite fire places. Simple yet comfortable; the house is set up as a second home rather than a holiday house. All rentals are re-invested in the house. Four adults maximum.

Kervec is our second home. It has been a wonderful refuge from modern life and only available for rent in the past few years to help pay for the upkeep.

Our family - us, 2 children and dog - stay in the farmhouse and the Old Dairy is a fabulous addition for guests or extended family. Modern but very comfortable, all our guests are delighted to spend time here.

A very attractive and well designed property with all the essential amenities required during our week-long stay. It was a shame that we didn't have better weather to make the mist of the extensive grounds. Many thanks.

Very Close to Perfect!

Beautiful house, great location, remote and peaceful although close to everything that you might need.

This was a real home-from-home in the true sense and it felt like we were invited to enjoy it to the full and in return were just required to respect some basic rules.

Actually better stocked than anticipated, especially as we had two children under 4. They loved it, along with the toys left there for them to play with. We didn't need for anything over the two weeks.

Won't go into all the best beaches, restaurants, markets, etc, as all are there set out in the house, along with the previous guests recommendations.

You will need a car.

Price is on the higher scale, especially if € is your currency, but I still give it 5 stars.

Ideal family accomodation, great location

We have stayed here with our 4 children many times over the past few years and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.Hopefully, not too many others as we would like to continue to visit...our friends often take the nearby Dairy.The Farmhouse has plenty of space inside and out: it has 3 good bedrooms, a comfortable downstairs sitting room (with WiFi for the teenagers- hurrah!), a basic but adaquete kitchen and a truly fab utility room.Outside, there's a lovely garden and orchard, surrounded by open fields.We like to eat together at the wooden table in the evening sun and ,later, watch the deer.

It has the feel of a genuine family home rather than a overly smart holiday rental.

A local lady deals with the domestic practicalities (and any niggles that arise).Bedding and linen can be supplied.All the final house cleaning is taken care of- bliss.

Nearby there is Nevez for a supermarket and local shops and bakeries.

Also, Kervec is well placed for the splendid beaches and coastal walks.If you like to eat at smart restaurants there are definitely a good few to choose from and details of these are in the house, along with lots of other recommendations about things to do locally.

Personally, I would consider a car to be essential in getting around here.

Wonderful location close to sea, historic towns, beautiful countryside as well as numerous markets and two excellent golf courses. The Old Dairy is thoughtfully equipped with a woodburner, television with Apple TV, sun loungers and BBQ. All rents are re-invested in the house.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Beach : Tahiti Beach at 3 Kilometres Car: necessary

Special interest holidays:

Pont Aven, made famous by Paul Gauguin, is world famous for its art. The town is packed with studios, galleries, cafes and restaurants on the banks of the Aven.

Coast/Beach:

Water sports, tennis, cycling, golf, horse riding, coastal walks.

There are a dozen beaches within a 5 minute drive. One of our favourite things is to fill a flask with coffee and head to the beach for breakfast grabbing a few pastries as we go...magic!

Travel:

Brest Airport is 1hr 15mins to the north providing flights to Southampton, Luton and Bristol. The Ferry Port of St Malo is 2hrs 30mins away on traffic free, fast roads.

Distances:

The village of Nevez is only a few minutes drive as are the local beaches; Pont Aven is 10 minutes away and Concarneau no more than 20 minutes in the car.

We love the proximity of the numerous beaches - we regularly fill a flask, buy croissant and have breakfast on the beach. We also enjoy a lazy day at home, BBQ, croquet, trampoline and paddling pool. Magnifique!
