Fantastic cottage, beautifully and tastefully decorated, views from all front windows are fantastic, spent ages just watching the world go by out of the large front window. Many thanks.

A beautiful cottage with stunning views in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Located by the harbour, Kippys cottage has lots to offer. The view from the lounge bay window is stunning, with two very comfy sofas, two perfectly positioned armchairs and tv. Kippys offers 3 good sized bedrooms, two with double and single beds, dressing table and spectacular harbour views. The third is a nice size with single bed, could probably fit a double. All rooms are bright and fresh and decorated to a very good standard and we loved the seaside theme throughout. The kitchen is cosy but has everything you need. The bathroom is a good size and the separate shower was a bonus as was the outside toilet on the ground floor. Access to the garden is on the first floor, many very narrow steps but well worth a visit. The views are spectacular of the harbour, Paignton and Torquay. Lots to do here too at Brixham, crabbing, fishing, shopping, many fab restaurants, ferry trips to Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth. Breakwater beach is lovely, as is Shoalstone outdoor pool and Fishcombe Cove..all just minutes walks away. Well worth a visit, we can't wait to return to Brixham and Kippys 😀?

Fabulous holiday in picturesque scenery

  • 5 of 5

Property is quirky, beautiful and just what we needed for a restful holiday. The property is very clean and kept to a high standard, and has all the facilities stated and more. Local shops and places to eat just around the corner, and the views from every window outstanding. I love walking, there are lots of walks up and around Brixham, with plenty to shoal beach for paddling, and breakwater for views. The owner from booking provides an excellent service, updating regularly and I received a welcome message when arriving there. Couldn't ask for anymore, I would definitely recommend Kippy's Cottage to family and friends, excellent value for money.

Absolutely beautiful cottage to stay in.

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with Kippy's cottage the moment we walked through the door - cannot fault anything about it.

Kippy's was spotlessly clean and the kitchen well equipped, with everything you needed to make your own meals if you want. The decor is very tasteful and in keeping with the coastal theme.

The garden, despite being a bit of a hike up the steps behind the house is beautiful, offering stunning views of the town, harbour

and beyond. A perfect place to sit with an early morning coffee or a chilled drink in the evening.

Location wise we found it was perfect for our needs, plenty of places to walk and local restaurants and shops are all closeby.

In summary this is a lovely place to stay and we all enjoyed our stay immensely. We will definitely return!

The location is perfect to see the hustle and bustle of harbour life and accessing the town.

Had an enjoyable stay at this lovely cottage..The view from the bay window and the top of the garden are was lovely sitting at the top of the garden having a drink and enjoying the views. The cottage is very well equipped with nice furnishings. From Brixham you can catch the ferry to Dartmouth which is a very enjoyable trip, and buses run frequently to Paignton and Torquay.Weather was great on top of everything else...couldn't have asked for any more. Can definitely recommend and hope to return again in the future.

Kippy's Cottage overlooks Brixham habour. It is a 12 minute walk to the marina and nearest beach - Breakwater - (a Blue Flag beach along with 6 others in Torbay) and a few more minutes to the next - Shoalstone - which has a large outdoor seawater pool heated naturally with an extensive sunbathing area. Shoalstone is also excellent for rock pooling and snorkelling and sometimes occupied by local seals.

Nearest airport is Exeter.

It's right in the town! A dedicated car parking space is available in the car park immediately below the house (2 mins away)next to the harbour wall on the Southern Quay. Details will be provided on booking.

Further Details:

Both Paignton and Torquay are a short drive away, Babbacombe is a bit further on with its model village. Also nearby, is the delightful town of Dartmouth which can be accessed via two river Dart ferries from the Kingswear side, or road via Totnes. Further on again, is Blackpool Sands, a marvellous beach, and on again is Slapton Sands, with its lagoon where the Normandy landings were rehearsed in WW2. To the north is Dartmoor with its stunning scenery and famous tors. The historic port of Plymouth is about 30 miles west with Plymouth Hoe, Devonport naval dockyard and its extensive range of shops.
