Villa in La Manga Club, Costa Calida, Spain - Within Walking Distance To Local Shops, Bars And Restaurants

Spacious, light modern villa with 4 double bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people, 3 bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms, separate dining room, fully fitted kitchen and utility room. Maintained to high standard throughout. Home from home. Air conditioning included in the summer, but heating extra in the winter so you only pay for the amount you use. There is under floor heating, and a calor gas fire in the sitting room and radiators. Spacious attractive garden for eating and sunbathing with fabulous views to the hills and from April 2014 a new shady area with comfortable sofas. Gas BBQ. Heated private pool with steps. Pretty courtyard also with umbrella, table and chairs. 2 sun terraces on 1st floor with spectacular views, largest with Table Tennis table. TV in 4 rooms, DVD and satellite TV channels. WiFi throughout the villa. Air-conditioning/heating in all main rooms. Units replaced in May 2014. Modern bathrooms and kitchen fitted to high standard. We have a cot and high chair and a selection toys if required. You can park your car beside the property. 50% discount on golf and tennis rates. A car is recommended for exploring the area but amenities are within reasonable walking distance. These include 3 golf courses, 20 tennis courts, par 47, supermarket, mini clubs, numerous restaurants, banks, and a resident doctor and dentist.

About Sonia Tyndall

We have had a property at La Manga since 1987. At first we came to the Club with the family for a few weeks a year. We love it here because its a great family resort and we felt happy to give the children the freedom to go off on their own. When my husband retired we wanted to spend more time here, and needed a garden to be able to bring the dogs with us. We moved to this lovely villa in 2001 and take pride in maintaining it to a high standard. We regard it as home as much as our home in England. We hope you will feel the same. Do phone us for a chat about the villa, and we will do our best to answer any queries. We have even been known to lend golf clubs for the odd game to save you the cost of bringing them over!

Why Sonia Tyndall chose Cartagena

This is a very peaceful area of the club, and yet near the amenities. The views are spectacular, and it is very special when we find the shepherd is grazing his sheep on the hillside just 50 yards from the house. The house has been built to a high standard, and offers us everything we could wish for. We find having 2 sitting rooms really useful when the grandchildren are here! It is so nice having several areas to sit and relax in the garden either in the sun, or a spot in the shade.

It feels like our home away from home. The children love it. No expense has been spared in making the villa beautiful. It is so easy spending days on end relaxing in the privacy of the gardens & pool looking out over the hills & the Mar Menor in the distance. Inside the villa all the living rooms & bedrooms are of a generous size. The kitchen is very modern. Las Brisas enjoys a position on the edge of the Club yet only a few minutes away from the Resorts many facilities. We cannot wait to come back next year!

The villa is beautifully kept, & felt very spacious. As a large family group with 3 children under 3 the villa suited us perfectly.The pool benefits from a gate making it safe for young children. The villa has 3 different outside eating areas making the most of sunlight & shade.The villa feels very private yet is only a short stroll to shops & restaurants.There is so much to do but we found the best place was beside the pool.We will be back!

Notes on accommodation: The villa has air-conditioning in all the main rooms. Parking is beside the house. Master bedroom and 2nd sitting room are upstairs via a wide staircase. All further bedrooms and living accommodation is on the ground floor. Floors throughout the property, with the exception of the tiled kitchen and bathrooms, are of marble. The property is constantly being upgraded and is in excellent order throughout. A cactus garden at the side of the house has recently been replaced with a large tiled area with comfortable sofas under an awning. A great addition to the property! Outside: The villa has a 'desert' garden,with flower beds and pots providing plenty of colour. The large patio has lots of room for dining and sunbathing. In addition there is a courtyard, also with table and chairs and umbrellas, and 2 terraces with sun loungers and the largest with a table tennis table. The garden boasts 5 palm trees and large cacti. In July/August you may be able to eat the grapes from the vine. You will be able to find plenty of areas for sitting in the sun or the shade. Private kidney shaped pool approx 10m x 5m can be heated if necessary at additional cost. Shower beside pool. Access to pool is via steps and no longer ladder entry - easier for the young and not so young! Pool was completely refurbished winter 2015. There are buckets and spades to take to the beach, and 'boules'. Magnificent views to the hills and lion mountain. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, large drinks fridge, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included, and changed weekly. Additional cleaning can be arranged with the Management company if wished. Swimming towels are included, and can be washed in the washing machine as required. There are 2 hairdryers provided. Other: Separate open plan dining room with French windows to garden and courtyard. The twin bedrooms can be made up as king size beds as required.

Wonderful house. Well-organised, beautifully decorated and very well equipped

We had a family party - 7 adults and 2 small children and the house was very well suited to our needs. It is very well laid-out, so that the pool, kitchen, out-door dining area and sunbathing areas are all within 'talking distance'. The decor is excellent and the rooms very comfortable and well equipped. The La Manga estate is also very well run and maintained and has good sporting and shopping facilities, although the restaurants within the complex are more expensive than in the surrounding area.

The owner has been excellent with information and correspondance. The villa provides an excellent place for the whole family to have a peaceful and relaxing holuday with plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. It is located in a quiet part of Le Manga Club but close to shops and restaurants. The villa has everything you need for have a fabulous holiday and obviously the golf couses were excellent. We plan to return to the villa ..fingers crossed it will be available but given how perfect it is can see the need to book well in advance.

Very relaxing, attractive property with pool

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Villa. The Villa was set in a lovely garden with a pool and overlooks a rural area at the rear of La Manga Resort. The Villa was bright and very nicely appointed, with a spacious lounge, master bedroom upstairs with ensuite and three good sized bedrooms and two modern bathrooms downstairs. There were also plenty of outdoor eating and relaxing areas, including a barbecue and outdoor sofas and sun beds, and a good sized pool which was well maintained. The vila is located about 15 minutes walk from the tennis and main restaurant area and about 10 minutes from a smaller area of shops and restaurants. We were a group of adults and older teenagers and all found plenty to do, with the bars and restaurants on site busy while we were there. I would recommend a car if you want to travel around.

Fantastic villa

We stayed in the villa for a. We are a family of 8 people. Everything was perfect. The house was very clean and well equipped. Many good terraces so you can always sit in the sun :-)

The owner was very helpfull in providing us with details and advice. We attended the Tennis Academy, which was really professionel.

I can highly recommend this villa and owner.

excellent villa with a lovely setting

We were a group of 4 middle aged couples combining a holiday with a wedding of one of our close friends. Although the weather for September was unusually cool and wet we had a very enjoyable stay. The villa is very clean and spacious and very well equipped-everything you could wish for and beds and furnishings comfortable ot high standard, with nice showers . The outside area was great for BBQ, relaxing in the evening, for drinks and eating out -very nice outdoor seating in shade or sun whatever you like--very nice views from the garden to the hills along the coastline. The villa is not overlooked and you feel secure with privacy. The area is very quiet and parking no problem. We had 40 guests from the wedding for a BBQ quiz night and everyone was seated and many commented what a lovely place to stay. So we all would recommend Las Brisas. I left a Tee shirt and the owner has posted it to my address in England. She is a responsive owner who cares about her visitors.

Just what was required

With our grown up children and their "other halves" we were seeking a villa which gave space, freedom to do one's own thing, a decent sized "walk-in" pool (not metal ladders), separate wash/WC facilities and A/C for 3 couples. This villa did as it said on the tin. It was unusually very hot (we loved it), but there was sufficient shade though the idea of an additional one to be provided in August is a good idea and would give an alternative area. We have been hiring villas in La Manga Club for nearly 10 years and are used to the southern region approach. Electricity tripped twice, but immediate help/resolution was provided locally via phone and the water pressure was lost across the Club for a few hours. Sonia proved very helpful and approachable both before and during our holiday. We would use it again and have no hesitation in recommending this villa to a large group.

Owner's Response: Each villa has a limit by the suppliers, on the amount of electricity allowed to be used at any one time. We are on the highest limit, but with air-conditioning units on, the washing machine or toaster or kettle can take it over the limit. Can be annoying, but manageable! Very occasionally water pressure drops if a leak is being repaired. So glad you enjoyed the spaciousness of the villa. Its especially good with teenagers to have a second TV room!

Location

Coast/Beach:

La Cala beach, with its beautiful restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean, is 5 minutes drive. This beach is sometimes unsuitable for young children. Calblanque beaches, within the national park are 10 minutes drive and the very shallow, calm, warm waters of the Mar Menor with its sandy beach is very suitable for children,(take our buckets and spades!) is under 15 minutes drive.

Travel:

Murcia Airport is 25 minutes drive, Alicante is 1 hour 10 minutes. Car hire is recommended.

Distances:

Los Belones is 5 minutes from the Club and has supermarkets,tapas bars, restaurants,banks and shops. Cartagena is 20 minutes,an interesting Roman town with many cultural places recently restored,and Murcia, with its wonderful cathedral and a great city to visit if you want a change from the beach and pool, is under an hour away along the motorway. Cabo de Palos, an active fishing village, with waterfront fish restaurants, and a large market on Sundays is 15 minutes Recommend the roasted chicken!

Further Details:

La Manga Club has so much to offer and our Management Company will leave a folder with all the amenities at the club and the surrounding area in the villa. There is a wide choice of restaurants, sporting facilities, and spa treatments. You can do water sports on the Mar Menor. You can play golf, tennis, squash, hire a bike. There is a football centre, a dance academy, climbing wall, mini club. There is a market somewhere every day, but the popular one is on Sunday at Cabo de Palos (15 mins) perhaps followed by alfresco lunch in one of the restaurants beside the fishing harbour. You can practically walk straight out to the hills from the villa. If you like to walk, tell us, and we will leave a book of walks written by one of our residents, for you. Nearby areas are good for bird watching. Or, of course, you can relax by the pool with a book! I like having contact with our potential guests and answer any questions you may have before you book.

Booking Notes:
Enquiries and booking are done through email or telephone. We require a 20% non refundable deposit upon confirmation of booking. Balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival plus a deposit of £200 to cover any damage which is returned to you within a week of your return. Rental charges include a welcome grocery pack, linen, bath and swimming towels and air-conditioning, except winter bookings when I think it fairer to charge a lower rate, and electricity used is paid for at cost. We look forward to hearing from you to help in any way we can and answer any questions you may have and we can advise on car hire.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday. We do ask you to be out of the villa by 10.00am or by arrangement with our management company. Villas are normally ready by 4.00pm.
