About the Owner

This house have gone through many changes and it is frequently refurbished by the owner, that is an architect, always trying to maintain its cosy features.

It is an exclusive and uncommon house, and the owner and his wife are very happy to share with guests this special environment they have created throughout the years.

We are happy to let our properties because it is a good opportunity to meet interesting people.

Even though we live in the city we are lucky to have a garden where we can grow flowers and plants, we also have some lemon and clementine trees and we make marmalade e liquor out of the fruits.

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

Spent 3 wonderful nights here on a city break with friends. The property is great for two couples or a family of four. It was lovely to be able to eat sl fresco on the terrace or to relax in the living room. It is a steady 15 minute walk to the metro but only 4 stops to the Vatican. It was great to have Roberto collect us from the airport and Marina to prepare us a wonderful feast one evening. This place was a calm oasis after s busy day sightseeing and I would recommend staying here.

Comfortable Stay

  • 5 of 5

It was our first time and Rome as a family of 4, and we truly enjoyed our stay at this house. Upon arrival, Marina's daughter Ilaria welcomed us and even helped us with some of our belongings into the house. She took her time to explain things about the house, surrounding cafe's, and best routes and parking to nearby attractions. Marina also prepared a delicious dinner for us upon arrival! Every morning we also had warm brioche delivered to our door!

Any issues we had Ilaria and Roberto assisted us right away. It was extremely cold and with 2 littles ones, heating throughout the house was a must. We were very comfortable once the heat kicked in and we were glad to have the house to come home to after a busy day of traveling. We plan to return to this home with our future trips again to Rome! Thank you Marina, Roberto, and Ilaria for your great hospitality throughout our stay and for great communication via multiple emails before our arrival!

Charming & Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our trip to Rome and would like to thank Marina , Roberto and Ilaria for allowing to spend our 4 days at their home .

The attention to detail from our original enquiry to our arrival and subsequent departure was fantastic .

The house was exactly as advertised , very quaint and relaxing to return to after a busy day exploring in the city. Great care has been taken to ensure that the house is well equipped to make for a very pleasant stay.the welcome pack and daily delivery of warm croissants was a fantastic touch and very much appreciated.

The house is in a quiet location with sufficient shopping facilities on the doorstep. Travel to the city centre is just 10 mins walk to the metro, and a further 10 mins by train. Close to hand but relaxing to escape the busy day.

Our short break was to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday , which was a great success and Rome is now her favourite city .

We will return to visit Rome and wouldn't hesitate to book this fantastic house again.

Many Thanks

Brian , Linda & Melissa 😃

  • 5 of 5

Everything was absolutely perfect! We had a spacious and clear apartment, with parking for our car and excellent transport links when we went to Rome. We travelled as a family of 3 adults - all were happy. Near was a supermarket, also we had croissants every morning))))).

We had a nice time, it was a pleasure for us! Hope to see you again! Thanks Marina!!!!!!

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic

  • 5 of 5

We have had many rentals through Owners Direct, but this was our first with a non-UK based owner.

The rental could not have been easier. Everything from booking, airport transfers, catering etc was absolutely perfect. We could not recommend this accommodation more strongly.

Why settle for a tiny hotel room, in central Rome, when you can have a spacious apartment, with excellent transport links, for the same price?

We travelled as a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids - and the property was perfect. The local facilities were excellent - supermarket, restaurants (Joseph, near Cornelia metro does the best steak we have ever had) etc and there is even an ice cream place / bar pretty much opposite the apartment.

In summary, great location, if you don't mind being outside the main centre.

Nearest Metro stop is Cornelia, on the red line, which is either a 15 min walk or 5 min bus journey away.

Location

From the Owner

This property was built by the owner's family and they have always been living there, until recent times when the owner decided to move to another house just next to this one. It is particularly loved by the owner as he has been living here since he was born.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

They say Rome must be visited at least once in a lifetime. Lots of visitors, though, once they see the beauty and the charm of this city, struggle to find it anywhere else and feel the necessity to come more and more often. If it is your first time in Italy, this house will give you the chance to easily adapt to the Roman style. You can enjoy the quaintness of the area with its daily market, the local shops and cafes, the big equipped park and the dynamic square where gather together both the elder people and the younger ones. All the tourist attractions are within short distance (eg St. Peter 10 mins by bus).

If you are a Rome veteran, instead, you can grasp the opportunity to discover new areas in and around Rome by public transport (main tube/buses/coaches station 5 mins from the house) or hiring a car (private parking available, inquire for rates).

Coast/Beach:

Rome is on the Latium Coast, amazing beaches within 20 mins driving from the house. Fregene and Ostia are the main beaches, known for the well-equipped and classy resorts.

You can't miss visiting Terracina, 1 hour away, where the beaches are surrounded by archaeological sites and Roman history.

Travel:

Fiumicino airport 20 mins by car. Ciampino airport 30 mins by car. Car transfer to/from airport available upon request.

Further Details:

Shopping streets, restaurants, cafes, hairdressers, banks, bakeries, supermarkets within walking distance.

The house is provided with basic products for your stay (e.g. soaps, washing up liquid, washing powder, sugar, salt, hair dryer, etc.)
