Apartment in La Manga Club, Costa Calida/Murcia, Spain - Superb Location With Stunning Mediterranean Views

The La Manga Club is a safe, relaxed, 5 star resort with world class sporting and leisure facilities including 3 golf courses, an internationally renowned tennis centre and a football academy. There is also a spa offering treatments, a gymnasium, 25 metre indoor pool, jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms. There are many restaurants and cafes within the resort and many more to be found in the local village of Los Belones. The Mar Menor and Mediterranean beaches are close and the resort has its own small Mediterranean beach. The apartment is ground floor with excellent parking and set in delightful gardens with the use of 3 superb pools. Its central location provides easy access to all the resorts amenities, shops, restaurants and sporting facilities. The accommodation is spacious, light and well equipped and furnished to a high standard throughout. It also features a large terrace for alfresco living with truly spectacular panoramic views, 3 TVs with UK channels and free WIFI internet.

Fantastic Apartment

We stayed at La Manga Club Resort for 2 weeks (July 2016). The apartment is fantastic - very spacious, well maintained and clean on arrival. There are great views out across the resort to the sea from the balcony and helpful guides provided.The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. It is also very conveniently situated for the tennis centre, swimming pools shops and restaurants. We emailed the owners with a couple of questions while staying and they were quick to respond/help - thanks! I have no problems recommending this apartment.

The only things to be aware of are:

a) We had a car which was ideal for getting about the resort especially in the heat. The apartment is on the ground floor but accessed up a hill/steps which is typical for most of the accommodation in this area. This may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues;

b) The apartment is situated in a block. We were unlucky to have some noisy neighbours who several times partied with shouting and loud music on their balcony until the early hours. I do not think this is typical of La Manga Club Resort and was is just down to the luck (or not) of who is staying next to you.

Roomy apartment with fabulous views

We had a lovely stay in this 2 bed apartment. All the amenities were there for our needs and there was plenty of crockery and glassware. It had a nice family feel to it with a few photos of the owner's family which made it more personal and less like a rented flat, although none of this was over the top and we felt able to make it ours for the week.

We first visited La Manga Club in 2006 and were bowled over by the sheer quality of the Club, its facilities and its surroundings. So much so that in November 2008 we purchased our Los Olivos apartment and so far have no regrets at all. The apartment is modern, attractive and spacious and we just love being there. The views from the terrace and living room never cease to amaze and are the main reason we chose Los Olivos over the other options at La Manga. The proximity of the Tennis Centre and the main resort shops and bars together with the superb swimming pools for the family are other reasons, but there is no escaping the attraction of al fresco living on the terrace with those views. And you don't have to miss Eastenders !

Special interest holidays:

La Manga Club is home to one of the best tennis centres in Europe. It boasts 28 courts (most are floodlit), with a choice of surfaces. The excellent Tennis Academy has fully qualified coaches, who teach courses or individual lessons for adults and children of all abilities. The tennis centre also hosts a squash court, gym and the facility to play bowls. Los Olivos is located just above the Tennis Centre and the apartment is an ideal base for families or groups interested in tennis based holidays. Other activities available on La Manga Club include a kids club (0-12 years), dance, horse riding, cricket, rugby, football and mountain biking. Water sports are available nearby. There is also a luxurious spa at La Manga Club which boasts a 25 metre indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi along with a range of beauty treatments.


The resorts private beach (La Cala) is less than a mile away (the terrain is steep and therefore travel by car is recommended). There are lots of beaches in the local area including the beautiful, long, sandy beaches at Calblanque (10 minutes drive), 16 kilometres of golden sandy beaches the Med side of the La Manga Strip, and many safe beaches around the shores of the Mar Menor, the closest being Crystal de Mar (5 minutes drive).


Murcia (San Javier) is the nearest airport (25 minutes drive). Alicante is an hour away. Car hire is strongly recommended due to the size of La Manga Club, although taxis can be easily arranged.

Further Details:

While lots of visitors never feel the need to leave La Manga Club, there are lots of places to visit should you decide to have a change of scenery. In the apartment you will find a book full of information about local places of interest. This includes the village of Los Belones which is approximately 5-10 minutes by car and has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The City of Cartagena is a short drive away (less than 20 minutes by car) and has a variety of historical attractions to enjoy along with some fantastic shops including the superb Parque Mediteranee shopping Centre just outside the City. Cabo de Palos, a very charming fishing village, is approximately 15 minutes by car and boasts a harbour, excellent fish restaurants and a large Sunday morning market. A drive along the 18 kilomeyre La Manga Strip is a must.

  • Notes on accommodation: The accomodation is very spacious throughout and the bedrooms can easily accommodate extra beds and cots. Sofa beds can also be placed in the living room. All can be provided at small additional cost if requested at time of booking. Outside: Los Olivos apartments are set in attractive well maintained gardens which contain 3 pools for exclusive use of Los Olivos visitors. The indoor pool is rectangular, heated and also has changing rooms, showers, toilets, gym and jacuzzi and is open all year round. The two outdoor pools are large free form design pools with children's pools, ample sunbeds and parasols and lifeguard supervision in peak periods. Swimming pools are a key Los Olivos attraction and all are within 50 metres of the apartment. Utility Room: Utility cupboard containing hot water tank, iron and ironing board and cleaning equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (not pool/beach) and linens are included. Maids will clean and make up beds for arrival and clean on departure (mid-stay clean/new linens and towels if staying 14 nights). Welcome food packs are provided on arrival. Other: The large 40 square metre terrace is a feature of Los Olivos apartments. Partially covered and equipped with outdoor table and chairs, padded sunbeds, built-in barbecue and electric sun awnings. Terrace overlooks the gardens and gives spectacular views.
