A gem of a place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage has a traditional look from the outside but is nice and new in the inside, bunk bed was popular with kids, small, enclosed garden with picnic bench to sit out when it's nice weather. For kids there's a good playground two minutes from property. Lovely quiet area, but close to Alnwick and not far to the coast. All the communication and arrangements made with the owner were flawless. We had a great week here!

lovely house and a great touring base

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time at Rambler's cottage. The house was very well equipped and had lovely furnishings making us feel at home straightaway. Our 3 year old loved the bunkbed (and I loved the en suite!). The house is situated on a small development which was really quiet and the garden is a lovely safe space for children to play in. Northumberland is beautiful and we equally enjoyed the Cheviots and the coast. The locals are so friendly and made us feel welcome everywhere we went.

A real home from home

  • 5 of 5

Everything you could want from a holiday cottage. Clean, tidy and with pretty much everything you need. Russell was very helpful and texted us to say that the cottage was ready earlier than expected should we like to arrive earlier. The cottage was warm and there was a bottle of wine and chocolates as a welcome gift when we arrived.

It was our first trip to Northumberland and certainly not our last. The coastline and National Park are stunning and Powburn is ideally situated in between. On those days when you do not feel like travelling far there are some lovely walks straight from your front door.

On the whole a very enjoyable week and we will definitely be booking Ramblers Cottage again very soon

Great touring base

  • 4 of 5

Ramblers is ideally placed for the majority of Northumberland attractions. It's a quiet, well equipped and comfortable 2up 2down cottage with easy access and parking. Host Russell provided all that was required to enjoy our stay and we would recommend it to anyone. Cheers Russell, best wishes.
