About the property

Holiday Home in Beauly, Scottish Highlands - Perfect Location For Touring The Highlands, Close To Glen Affric, Loch Ness And Inverness

Daviot Lodge is comfortable and well-equipped. Built to a Scandinavian design, with wood-burning stove inside and integral barbecue built into the chimney outside. As well as the stove, heating is electric with electricity included in the price. (Electric heating uses a low-carbon heat pump, helping us to reduce our environmental impact). Our lodge is situated in 3 acres of birch woods. We're close to the end of the road so there's very little passing traffic - the perfect place to relax and unwind. The woods are fenced, so are safe for children to play. The kitchen is well-provided, with cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. I the lounge are TV, DVD and radio/CD player and the lodge is provided with free wifi for guests to use.

About Keith and Sue Walker

Sue and Keith Walker live and work locally.

Why Keith and Sue Walker chose Inverness

This location gives us the best of both worlds - it feels remote and benefits from being close to open hillsides and surrounded by farmland, but it's only 3 miles from Beauly and 15 miles from Inverness.

Some of Scotland's best walking areas are close by, including Glen Affric, Glen Strathfarrar, Strathconon and Ben Wyvis.

Wildlife abounds here, with a rich birdlife as well as deer, pine marten, and the dolphine nearby.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Real home from home. Everything you could want. Fab location too. Thank you for making it so nice. Loved feeding the birds and watching the variety of them. Would definitely book again and recommend to family and friends.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback Lynn, I'm sorry for the issues you experienced. I'll be speaking with our cleaner about the cobwebs, because that's not the standard of cleanliness that we expect. I will take a look at the beds, as we haven't had any previous comments about them. New mattresses will be ordered. Thanks again for your feedback. Best wishes, Keith

Quiet country cottage

  • 4 of 5

We had a very comfortable, peaceful stay at Daviot Lodge. The cottage was very clean and cozy and had just about everything we needed. Beauly is just 3-4 miles away and has groceries, a couple of restaurants, and some cute shops. There is lots of hiking right at the cottage doorstep or just a short drive away. This was a good jumping off point for Loch Ness, Glen Affric, Black Isle, and we even spent a day at Isle of Skye. The neighborhood was very quiet, except for the chirping birds and bleating sheep.

Central and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a great base for exploring all areas of the Highlands: west, north, and east. Its remote location makes it a relaxing getaway, but there are also plenty of conveniences nearby in Beauly if needed.

Après avoir un peu chercher ce cottage, pas facile comme adresse à trouver, nous avons enfin découvert ce charmant bungalow niché au sein de la nature, au calme et très confortable......Rien à redire.
