The apartment is situated on the newly built Huerta Nueva. It's a modern, light property with attention to detail. There are 2 opportunities for al fresco dining (on the roof terrace or spacious front terrace) 3 double bedrooms, 2 with king size beds and one twin all with double doors leading onto balconies. The well equipped apartment comes with fully fitted kitchen, 2 bathrooms ( one en-suite), broadband connection, dining area. There is a full rooftop terrace with gazebo and gas fired BBQ, outside dining and 6 sun-loungers.
About the Owner
I live with my son Dominic in the UK for most of the year but spend as much time as possible in Spain. I have been in education for most of my working life but also worked as a travel rep which gave me my wanderlust. I have travelled extensively in Europe and America and speak German, French and Spanish. More recently I have taken a seasonal job as a Tour Manager to allow my love of travel to be fulfilled. In my spare time I enjoy dancing - ballroom and jive and dabble a little in painting - from the rooftop terrace which has amazing views of the mountains and coastline.

“After searching for some time for the ideal property I came upon Huerta Nueva - a new urbanisation within 5 minutes walk of the sleepy, typical Spanish village of Los Gallardos. Its magnificent location nestling between the mountains and the coast with a view of the famous Mojacar Pueblo sold it to me. It is a short distance to the motorway giving direct access to several airports. The nearest one is Almeria - a 30 minute drive but Alicante, Murcia and Malaga can all be used. A 10 minute drive takes you to spectacular beaches and Garrucha, the local working fishing port, with its fabulous fish restaurants and numerous bars. There are many golf courses in the surrounding area for the enthusiast and lots of opportunity to take in the local traditions.”
Activity and Interests
The coast is situated a short 10 minute drive away where you will find many blue flag beaches with watersports facilities for you to choose from.
Almeria airport is a 30 minute drive away, you can also choose to fly into Murcia, Alicante and Granada which are 1.5 hours, 1.75 hours and 2 hours respectively. Use of a hire car is recommended.
Our local village is a 5 minute walk, the mountain village of Mojacar Pueblo is a 10 minute drive (typical Moorish village), Mojacar Playa is a 10 minute drive with the local fishing port of Garrucha a further 5 minutes along the coastline.
Granada with its famous Alhambra Palace is a 2 hour drive.
The location offers many choices to fit all different tastes. For those who prefer the typical spanish way of life there are numerous villages and local markets in the surrounding area where you can dine on delicious tapas, seafood and the local Andalusian cuisine. For those who are looking for the nightlife and a more international experience the beach/town area of Mojacar has a myriad of pubs, clubs and international restaurants where you can dance the night away. Supermarkets and banks are located a short walk from the apartment.

You may book up to a year in advance, there will be a deposit of 20% at time of booking and the balance 8 weeks before arrival. There will also be a 100 pound returnable breakage deposit, returned 2 weeks after departure. Payment to be made by bank transfer or cheque.
I am flexible on changeover days and also arrival and departure times. (If a client is arriving the same day, checkout will be 10am and arrival will be 4pm to facilitate cleaning of apartment).

“Our apartment was bought and furnished to live in as a family home when we are not in the UK and is of a very high standard. It is modern and spacious with all home comforts. The shared pool is 30 seconds away and the largest on the complex.. Probably the most amazing feature is the roof top terrace which is the size of the whole apartment. I love to relax on the sun loungers with a cold drink, a book or my sketchpad and cajole my son to BBQ me some of the delicious local prawns.”

There is a large shared pool area with childrens separate pool and extensive gardens. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels(apartment and beach) and linen are included. Property will be cleaned before and after occupancy. Other: The dining room situated within the lounge comprises a 6 seater dining table and chairs.
