About the Owner

We live at the Manor House, within the grounds, with our family. We have met many very lovely couples and families who have thoroughly enjoyed their time with us.

Wow, my family and myself loved our stay at the converted Coach House. The property maintains all the rustic charms and is beautifully decorated. We especially loved the quirkiness of the stable bedrooms which my twin nieces used. We received a lovely friendly welcome and are all feeling homesick to go back again sometime. The property is in a great location to go of exploring. We visited the beautiful Blue Lagoon in Aberieddy, Tenby and St David's. The property is close to the town centre (Morrison's is just down the road) , but you wouldn't feel like your near the town centre once you drive through the gates to the manor house.

As our children have flown the nest and living in their own homes with their partners, this property allowed us all to enjoy a family break together and make some wonderful memories to treasure. So thank you Pamela and William for this and we hope to see you again.

As a group of 6 adults and two small kids, this place was absolutely perfect and we would LOVE to come back! The layout of the place really lends itself to a 2 family group... The place has been done out to a very high standard and it is super cosey and classy. Much fun was had flinging a frisbee around the ample grounds, playing tennis and kicking a ball about - so much nice safe space! We miss it a lot! thank you so much for a lovely weekend!

From the Owner

Bought the Coach House as part of the main Manor House property. It was sensitively renovated in 2010. The grounds of the Manor are beautiful and secluded with many ancient trees. It is bordered by two streams either side running down to the Western Cleddau Estuary (SSSI). The propert is an ideal base to explore the wild welsh coastline but conveniently close to all amenties such as Farmers markets, Pubs & Inns, Marks & Spencers, Boots etc.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Cardiff at 60 Miles Nearest Barpub : The Lost Coins at 0.5 Miles Nearest Ferry : Fishguard at 15 Miles Nearest Golf : Haverfordwest Golf Club at 2 Miles Nearest Train : Haverfordwest at 1 Miles Nearest Motorway : M4 at 30 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Wolfscastle Hotel at 4 Miles Nearest Beach : Broad Haven at 12 Miles

The beaches here are the best in Wales – sandy, safe and relatively uncrowded, ranging from traditional seaside resorts to hidden coves well off the beaten track. Head for the beach, whether a traditional seaside resort such as Tenby or nearby Saundersfoot, beaches with interesting villages, like Manorbier and St David’s, or the countless sandy beaches left just as nature intended, without an ice-cream kiosk in sight (the best are Barafundle Bay and Marloes Sands).

The nearest largest airport is Cardiff International approx. 99 mins. Haverfordwest Airfield is approximately one mile away. The County town of Haverfordwest is one mile approx. 15 mins walk and has coastal bus service so a car is not essential.

Fishguard and Pembroke Ferries are 30 mins away

Bristol is 2 hrs drive

London Heathrow 3.5 hrs

The village of Prendergast is approx one mile and about ten minutes walk from the front gates. There is a local character butcher, village store, florist, chinese take away, fish & chip take away. Also nearby is a retail park with Marks & Spencer, Boots, Laura Ashley, Homebase etc. The garage operates a 24hr service. The Coach House also is half a mile from the County hospital Withybush General.

Further Details:

History has left its mark in the form of majestic towering castles, quirky museums and some of the best Neolithic monuments in Britain. And this is heaven for walkers, with the long-distance 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path as well as public footpaths criss-crossing the countryside. Bike-riding enthusiasts can choose from several off-road routes, or more experienced cyclists can try the 240 mile Celtic Cycle Trail.

After all that fresh air, you’ll be glad to know that Wales has been a leading force in the move towards locally produced food, which you'll find in the many lovely old pubs and increasing numbers of good restaurants.

In the north of the county are the Preseli Hills (Y Preselau), a wide stretch of high moorland with many prehistoric monuments and the source of the bluestones used in the construction of the inner circle of Stonehenge in England. Go walking in the tranquil woods of the Gwaun Valley, near Fishguard, and the mysterious Preseli Hills, where you’ll find the exposed Neolithic burial mound of Pentre Ifan and the 13 standing stones known as Beddarthur or 'Arthur’s Grave'.
