Holiday Home in Perranporth, Cornwall - Just 2 Miles From Fantastic Perranporth Beach, Lovely Views Across Fields To The Sea

Our holiday house provides a stylish and comfortable home from home for six people. It is a clean modern 3 bedroom house with a great bathroom and a fabulous kitchen. There are 2 double rooms and a twin room with exciting in-built bunk-beds, and room for a travel cot. Free use of all the equipment in the house, including travel cots, high chairs, children's books and toys! A perfect base for families (particularly with young children) or couples. It is situated on a small friendly holiday park (John Fowler - Perran View) located about 5 minutes drive from Perranporth beach. Staying at the house means that you can make use of all the holiday park facilities (included in the cost of your holiday), or just use it as a base for visiting all the tourist attractions that Cornwall has to offer.

About Dawn Slater

We purchased our Cornish holiday home in 2010 after visiting it for 6 years and fell in love with both it and the area. As we are a family with a 7 year old and 6 year old twins we leave all the things that we need down in the house, plus everything that a family with babies and toddlers will need. We aim to make our house a home from home, since we stay there ourselves, and we always welcome any feedback from our guests in order to help us make everyone's holiday the best it can possibly be.

Why Dawn Slater chose Cornwall

We love the area since there is so much to do, from theme parks and tourist attractions, to water sports, extreme sports and walking, to simply playing on the beach! Plus, because Perranporth is located right in the middle of the North Cornish coast, it is an ideal base to explore all of Cornwall since you are only ever an hour or so's drive away from where you want to go! The other reason we love our house is because of it's location on the small, quiet and friendly holiday park, which we see as a bonus! Our house is located on the furthest corner from the main block where all the entertainment etc is. This means you are undisturbed by any noise, but it is only a couple of minutes walk to the clubhouse.

What makes this house unique

The house has recently been renovated to high standard of modern decor throughout, something that you will notice when you look at the other properties on the site - ours stands out head and shoulders above the rest - especially with the new 42 inch plasma TV!

We also provide, free of charge, the many things that a family with young children will require such as travel cot, high chair, toddler seat, single buggy, plus board games, books and toddler toys. In addition, the adults of the house can enjoy a selection of DVDs and the freeview TV.

We have used the owner’s direct website several times now after a recommendation from a friend and we have never been disappointed - this time was no exception either. The house was lovely, we couldn't want for anything, and had a great time. I will be recommending it, as it was perfect, the location was great too, as well as the site - it was well maintained and clean and the staff were exceptional.

Notes on accommodation: Sorry, but we don't allow dogs to stay - even small, well behaved ones! Outside: As the house is located on a small friendly holiday park, we have the use of a shared indoor heated swimming pool with full time pool attendant. Plus shared sauna, tennis courts, crazy golf. There is a children's playground, and a football/basketball net. The cost of using these facilities is included within your holiday and you do not have to pay for these onsite. At the house we have an outside bench which is a really pleasant and sociable place to sit and relax. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Property will be cleaned and ready for you upon your arrival. As this is a self catering property you will need to provide your own bed linen and towels. Bed linen can be supplied for you at an additional charge of £25. Other: You can use the following free of charge at the house: travel cots, high chairs, children's toys, board games, balls, buckets & spades, a wide selection of DVD's and a PS2 with a huge number of games to play!

Perfect location and home to home feel.

Property was well equipped for children and adults. Excellent location to visit surrounding towns and access to the John Fowler Holiday Park facilities was also great for the children. We made use of the indoor heated swimming pool. Staff on site were very welcoming and friendly.

Property itself had all the provisions. Ideal for families.

I don't have anything negative to say the only thing I would perhaps suggest is to have a step stool available in the bathroom for children to reach the sink.

I would definitely want to return.

Our week in Cornwall

The property was just what we required. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 todlers and 1 baby. The house and holiday park had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The onsite swimming pool and park were used by the kids and the clubhouse provided a good area for them to let the last bit of steam off each day. Provided a good base to get out and about to explore Cornwall which due to the weather we had to do a fair bit of. The real only downside (and it wasnt that bad really) was the parking, which was a case of dropping the kids off and then taking the cars back to the main carpark. All in all a great location and house to have a family holiday from...

Location

Special interest holidays:

Coastal paths are very accessible and popular with walkers visiting the area.

Coast/Beach:

2 miles to Perranporth beach, which is possibly the best in Cornwall with 3 miles of golden sands, an array of rock pools, and water sports to suit every member of the family. A Wetherspoons pub is in the centre of the town. 2 miles to St.Agnes, a sweet little local beach with a couple of cafes overlooking the beach, a pub and some excellent rock pools when the tide is out! The famous Watergate bay is 13 miles away, just the other side of Newquay, with Jamie Oliver's restaurant 13.

Travel:

Newquay airport is only 12 miles away and a train is available direct to Truro from many major rail stations. Buses run reguarly from Truro to Newquay, with a bus stop on the road outside of the holiday camp. Use of a car though is highly recommended.

Distances:

Truro 9 miles, Newquay 12 miles, Falmouth 16 miles, Eden Project 28 miles, Lands End 35 miles, St Ives 22 miles - all recommended for a day out. Brochures are available from the reception of the holiday park.

Further Details:

There is a launderette onsite available for use at an additional cost.

There is also a small shop onsite, and a Co-op in Perranporth about 5 mins drive away. Morrisons and Sainsburys are in Newquay (15 mins drive) and a Tesco superstore (with petrol station) is in Redruth (15 mins drive).

Damage Deposit £200

Booking Notes:
A deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking, along with a completed booking form. Your holiday date will be secured once we have received your deposit. We require the balance 6 weeks prior to the beginning of your holiday. A Housekeeping bond of £200 is also required at this point and will be refunded to you when we receive the key back.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday, with arrivals any time after 3pm. Check-out is the following Saturday by 11am.

Notes on prices:
Please note;
We are happy to rent the holiday house out over the Christmas and New Year period, (in fact any time between November and March). However, as the Holiday Park is closed for the winter period this means that the site facilities such as swimming and entertainment will NOT be available. The house and all that it has to offer is still available, and is fully heated and therefore snuggley warm!
