A luxurious and spacious 3 bedroom townhouse furnished to a high standard in the exclusive Vila Dos Principes gated community at the prestigious golf and country club resort of Praia d’el Rey. The property; ideal for families is set in a quiet secluded area within the development overlooking beautiful landscaped gardens, is a 60 second walk to 2 of 3 heated pools (April to Oct). As well as being a 5 min walk to the driving range and 1st tee, the resort also offers a tennis academy, a children’s play area and kids club during the peak summer season. A 5 star Marriott Hotel with health spa and restaurants is close by. Miles of silver sandy beaches with breath taking views of the Atlantic are a mere 10 minute walk away. The house is furnished in a contemporary style and equipped with 42” satellite TV, DVD and I-pod speaker dock and unlimited broadband. A covered outside dining area adjacent to the kitchen is available for alfresco dining. The kitchen includes all modern appliances.

Why Crispin Mardon chose Obidos

With 2 young growing sons we wanted to find a holiday location that offered a range of activities, not only golf but water and beach activities, restaurants and local shopping. We wanted to be able to relax away from the crowds. We like shopping in the local markets and shops where English is not widely spoken. The "pastelarias" or small coffee shops provide a relaxing way to watch the world go by. The house is in a gated community and when the boys were smaller we felt comfortable to leave them playing outside. Now they are more independent and the resort offers a host of different activities to keep them occupied.

What makes this villa unique

The property is just five minutes walk from the driving range, kids club and 1st tee and 10 mins from a fabulous surf beaten beach and tennis academy. Peniche has two surf beaches which provide the most hours surfing potential in the whole of Europe. There is so much to do and explore. We go 3 or 4 times a year and still we find more to do each time.

We had a lovely Holiday. The house was beyond our expectations.

What we loved, is that we had privacy, even with an "open" garden. And also that the pool was within 1 minute walking distance without seeing the pool (important for our little children).

The children had a lovely time. They played football, took tennis lessons, learned to surf, ... Nathalie, Netherlands

Fabulous location, very comfortable accommodation, well equipped and ideal for our family. The children loved the Club Adventura, so did we, allowing us to enjoy some time to ourselves.

Wonderful villa in one of the best spots

This was such a welcoming home for us for the 10 days we stayed. The house is huge and has everything you need. The location is perfect with a pine forest as a view from the patio and balconies. It is quiet and idyllic but only a 1 min walk from the nearest swimming pool. The property was very well maintained and Priscilla provided an excellent service at all times, when required. You need a car as you must explore the surrounding towns. I would highly recommend this villa and Praia Del Rey.

It's a home away from home!

I've just returned yesterday from a girlie holiday and we stayed in this villa in Praia Del Ray and all I can say is this villa has everything you'll need.

It's situated within a gated community, has 3 large bedrooms all with en-suite, fully functional kitchen with all the bits and bobs you'll need, wifi, DVDs and player, outdoor terrace with BBQ, the communal pool is a very, very short walk and it's well maintained, clean with plenty of beds by the pool to catch the sun.

We visited the club house on a few occasions for lunch and drinks which is only a very short walk from the villa, and the staff were great too.

If you are visiting I would recommend you need a car for venturing out or going to the supermarkets, 1 can be found in Óbidos and a much larger 1 in Caldas, both have everything you'll need.

The village of Óbidos is stunning and well worth a visit to all the little shops and markets.

I know I'll be high recommending this villa to people who ask, and since I've been back I've been discussing with my husband how good it was, now we're thinking about when we can visit.

The house has everything a family looks for and the location is perfect! We enjoyed relaxing at the swimming pool, going to the lagoon, visiting Lisboa, Fatima, Belem, Obidos.

The 2 weeks holidays we spent in Portugal were wonderful!!

Notes on accommodation: Our property is managed by Priscila who will welcome you to our house and will be available to assist you at any time during your stay. There is central heating, an open fire-place and de-humidifiers. Prices include water, electricity and gas during high/medium season. Heating in low season is charged extra, with readings made on arrival and departure and paid on site according to consumption. A cot and baby chair is available on request. No smoking or pets in the house please. A beach umbrella and beach chairs are also available. Outside: The townhouse is situated in an exclusive gated development which is great for children who can run freely around the grounds. French doors from the lounge lead onto the outside terrace with dining table and 6 chairs, 2 loungers. In addition there is a large lawned area perfect for sunbathing and ball games. Ample parking is located at the front. Two pools are just 100 yards away and the surrounding area comprises beautifully tended gardens and lawned areas. Perfect for total relaxation!
