About Nick Ferguson

I first visited Fort William in 1979 kayaking & to do Ben Nevis. Been going ever since, mainly for walking, climbing & mountaineering. I bought the apartment from a mountaineering & business buddy. If I cant live there then I would like as many other people as possible to enjoy what Fort William & its surrounds has to offer.

There's only so many times you can visit one place before it becomes logical to have a permanent base at that location.

The apartment has benefited from extensive modernisation work. The latest investments include Solar Thermal panel, LED downlighters and double glazed units to replace the original wooden sash windows.

Walking, climbing, mountaineering, biking. Everyday you get different views & conditions. Love relaxing late afternoon, sitting upstairs on the balcony looking out over the Loch. Even better with a glass of wine!

Great view.

There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The apartment just kept on going there was so much room. The view from the balcony was amazing. It was close to the city center to walk to restaurants and shopping. There was plenty of parking space. Loved the upstairs loft, sitting up there at the end of the day and seeing the harbor view.

The only negative would be the air and room fresheners used in the apartment were very strong.

I would stay again.

Clean, quite quirky, great for families/groups

Communications about arrival and access and departure were timely and clear. We found the place easily, right next to the new climbing wall in Fort William - bonus for the climbers! Less than a minutes walk into the centre of Fort Bill and good parking. Didn't bring bikes this time but secure storage in basement. Accessed by stairs. Accommodation good with a large sitting room upstairs with splendid view over the loch and harbour. It was a bit chilly up there in the evenings - the weather had turned cold - but the bedrooms etc downstairs were warm enough. One double bed is off the upstairs sitting room behind a curtain - one for the last to bed people - and had its own "en suite" bath, basin and WC. Bit short of cooking items, missed a decent bread knife, serving spoons and stirring spoons, plenty crockery, pans a bit tired! Great central place to stay with plenty room, would def stay again.

A Spacious Apartment with gorgious view

Very large and clean apartment, downtown just a short walk away, Shopping for groceries etc. nearby. Excellent view from balcony and upper room. Ideal spot for exploring the nearby Highlands. Quiet at night. Own parking lot. WLAN worked well. Layout for eight people includes a bunk bed. Grog and Gruel restaurant is highly recommended instead of Ben Nevis Lounge.

Great location and value

Enjoyed staying at the house for our trip north around the Glencoe/Loch Ness area. Everything was as advertised. Spectacular view from the 3rd floor living room and balcony. Great location, just over a block to the downtown area of Fort William. Can't do any better considering the cost. Would recommend.

great stay!

although the property is slightly run down, it provided us with everything we wanted, excellent views, great layout and in a very good position. Property was very clean, beds were comfortable, shower was as expected.

We ate out in the town every night which the property is well positioned for.

would definitely stay again.

Better than expected!

We are two families with children. Went for Easter skiing holiday. The apartment is beautiful with plenty of space, very clean and comfortable, with a stunning view from upstairs sitting room.Everything well organized with plenty of information about the area. Parking spaces in the garden, two minutes to High Street with everything you may need.
