Tweedle Dee Cottage in Youlgreave, Peak District / Derbyshire, England, UK - Conveniently Located In The Heart Of One Of The Prettiest Villages Of The Peak District

Tweedle Dee Cottage is a lovely cosy cottage for two with woodburner, squashy leather corner sofa, flat screen TV with a great selection of popular DVD's. The bed linen is 600 count Egyptian cotton and the fluffy towels and monogrammed toweling robes, Ralph Lauren. The bathroom features include tiny movement activated LED lights. The kitchen is well equipped and the garden has been re landscaped and is now a secluded rear cottage walled garden which has been carefully planned so all year round there are usually scented flowers / plants. Centrally heated (controllable by you) with hot water on demand. Unusually for Derbyshire village located cottages, there is off street car parking located opposite the front door.

The cottage owner is Rachel Halley, I grew up in Sheffield and spent a lot of my childhood exploring this beautiful part of the UK. I am passionate about the area, the village and I take great pride in being very hands on with the management of the cottage. I have an ongoing programme of improvements which the regular visitors love as there are always new touches whenever they return.

Beautiful cottage

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect. Lovely village and the cottage was amazing, small but perfectly formed and full of character. The four-poster bed creaks a bit but was comfy and the bathroom is great. Brilliant location for nice walks in the hills and only a short drive to Bakewell. We'll be back :)

We just love the area, the countryside is so beautiful, the people are so friendly and there is so much to see and do or our guests just relax and unwind. We use the cottage as an escape from the hustle and bustle of London life. Having spent many years renting other peoples cottages we have learnt that home comforts are essential for a relaxing holiday. We have filled the cottage with many luxury items that we think you will love and we look forward to sharing our cottage with you.

There are many fabulous walks and cycle rides from the doorstep which will take you through some of the most beautiful scenery of the Peak District.


East Midlands and Manchester airports are the closest airports.


The cottage is conveniently located in the heart of Youlgreave within easy strolling distance of the 3 village pubs and two local shops.

Bakewell, heart of the famous Bakewell pudding is just 3 miles away and the nearest large town is Ashbourne.

Further Details:

Many of our guests find the cottage so relaxing and comfortable that they do not use their cars at all but shop and eat locally and take a well earned break.

Booking Notes:
The cottage is available for bookings all year round.

For short breaks we ask for full payment on booking which reserves the dates and for weekly or longer breaks we ask for a deposit of £100 with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the let.

Changeover Day:
We will be as flexible as possible regarding the start date of your holiday. In order to allow for cleaning, check in is anytime after 3pm and check out by 10am.

The only additional charge that we make is for pets which are charged at £20 per pet. We are happy to accept a maximum of two pets.

We accept bank transfer and Paypal.

The cottage is conveniently located in the heart of the village within easy strolling distance of the 3 pubs. We encourage our guests to shop locally as much as possible; there is a Post Office in the village which doubles up as a village store and sells all the essentials including alcohol. There is also an excellent cake / pie shop.
