We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The surrounding area is beautiful and the "natives" are friendly. We never expected our experience to be this good and we are sad to be leaving but happy to be taking with us the memories we have - will definitely be returning.

We have had a great time at "La Fontaine". The cottage has been everything we hoped for and the owners have been great hosts. We have spent time at the coast, in the mountains and the local towns, all very special places. We return to the UK refreshed, happy and a little sad to be leaving. Maybe one day we shall return!

We stayed in this beautiful cottage & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was a perfect base to explore the surrounding area.

We have had a wonderful time at "La Fontaine" with the most amazing spell of early May weather. We have walked till our legs sreamed for mercy and enjoyed the abundance of wild flowers and birds. Thank you for a warm welcome.

A nice, clean gite; we all enjoyed our stay. Fabienne was very welcoming. The nearby river was great fun too.

Owner's Response: A very nice family! When we met at the gite, I saw happy faces and that is why we are in the rental business. They showed a lot of respect towards our gite. This is a family you would like to have as guests! Thanks a lot for staying at gite La Fontaine!

Pyrenees Atlantique - Expedition

  • 4 of 5

Great base for a two week stay and exploration of the Pyrenees Atlantique.

You could not wish for more pleasant owners to deal with, so helpful and accommodating.

A lovely spacious property in a secluded dead end lane, a couple of neighbours who respect your privacy but are perfectly pleasant. Peacefully chilled is how we would describe La Fontaine.

Coast and mountains in relatively easy reach, as are all the regional towns, rivers and tourist attractions nearer to base. Car is a must and travel to the further afield destinations a prerequisite.

We had a lovely holiday

Thanks Coats Family, Warwickshire, England
