Great location for the property. The kids loved being right next to the park and they could watch the steam trains go by.

The property was clean but could do with a little updating.

It was a lovely hot week but the flat was really hot even with the windows open. Could have done with a few fans. The bedroom with the boiler in was uncomfortably hot at night.

On the website the owner had said that towels would be provided. There were none when we arrived but after speaking to the owner she gave us a supply of towels. I think this should be omitted from the website if incorrect.

I think it would also be useful to have a guest book where people could write down their comments and also places to visit and eat out etc. I have seen this in most other places I have visited.

We had a nice trip to Brixham - went on the Golden Hind and ate at the lovely Rockfish.

The steam train/boat cruise to Dartmouth was great.

Nice beach at Broadsands .

Great family time

The apartment is very large and exactly as described. Fully equipped, clean and spacious.

Parking is plentiful and free which is an added bonus.

Perfect location for the beach and directly opposite Youngs Park. Quay west within. 5 minute walk and Paignton Centre only a 10 minute stroll away.

Our only negative was extremely noisy and selfish neighbours above who sounded like they were roller skating whilst playing ridiculously loud music. Whilst this is nothing to do with the owners I would suggest making a sign to remind them they do have people below them.

Spacious Apartment in a fantastic Seaside Town

This is an older style building which met our needs as base for our holiday. The bedrooms were a good size as was the loungedining area. The kitchen was a challenge if used by more than one at time but everything worked and was clean and useable. There were two bathrooms and again, all was clean and worked fine. Entrance to the property is via a flight of steps and we noticed that a stair lift was available for anyone who would struggle. Parking was possibly our only gripe, despite having a parking area at the rear of the property there is no access to where we were staying from the rear so not wishing to walk around the block with all our cases etc, we had to wait for a suitable gap to become vacant at the front of the property for us to park in so we could unload. Pam, the owner of the property was always on hand for any advice or needs, her excellent local knowledge was more than useful and nothing was too much trouble, defiantly one of the nicest people we have had the pleasure of meeting on our travels.

Paignton and the surrounding resorts most definitely the most beautiful Seaside towns in the UK, there are more than sufficient places to visit and things to do for all ages. The excellent weather we had definitely made a difference and made boat trips to Torquay and Brixham a pleasure. Plenty of public transport made getting from A to B very easy and a trip on the steam train to Dartmouth is a must.

Lovely apartment next to the beach :)

Beautiful apartment, lovely and clean, brilliant location. Exactly as described, we were lucky enough to be allowed in earlier, we met Pam who made us feel so welcome and that we were able to contact her if any issues. We did not need to contact but was nice to be made to feel like we could :) Pam also provided a pass for the air show which we found extremely helpful, she also showed us a good place to get the best view of the planes :) all in all a lovely week had in lovely accommodation and couldn't have asked for a more helpful owner, we will definitely look at booking with Pam again. Thank you.

Excellent stay

This is a beautiful apartment for a family or two couples. Outside the living room and full kitchen, there are 2 large bedrooms with a comfortable double bed and a comfortable single bed. The kitchen has an oven, where we have prepared delicious cuisine.

The House was just painted and saw and spotlessly clean.

Pam had ensured upon arrival for coffee, tea, milk and cookies. Also there were tourist brochures available.

The distance to the center of Paignton is just a 15-minute walk. The beach and the park is just across the road from the House.

We all three have really enjoyed our 3 day stay in apartment Young Park Road 30 to Paignton.

Pam, thanks for everything. We hope to see you in the future.

Activity and Interests


Goodrington beaches are perfect for sunbathing and relaxing with safe sandy beaches and swimming. Various water activities kyaking, waterboards, surfing, speed boat and dingo rides are all on the beach. The Inn on the Quay pub and restaurant are situated next to the beach.


Paignton Zoo is a mile away. Torquay and Brixham aprox 4 miles away, 10 mins by car, or why not take the ferry which runs regular crossings in season. Torquay, Babbacombe, and Brixham all have many attractions which are a short drive or bus ride away, Model village, Bygones museum, Kents Cavern caves.

Agatha Christies Estate is less than 5 miles away and Historic Dartmouth 8 miles away, recommended best way to get there is the steam train and ferry crossing.

Further Details:

Ideal location for fishing, with sea fishing from the promenade in the park, or take a boat from the harbour for deep sea fishing. For Course fishing the Town Parks fishery is 5 mins by car.

Ramblers delight, with the Coastal path to Torquay and Brixham on Goodrington Beach.

A Thrill for steam train enthusiasts, having views of the train winding its way through the park from the lounge.

Paignton has a number of restaurants and bars, shops and supermarkets are all nearby.
