This lovely modern, spacious, fully air conditioned apartment is situated next to a large, gently sloping sandy beach with easy access to the historic town and the surrounding attractions of the Costa Dorada. The private sun terrace, balcony and shared pool all offer day long sun and shade for relaxation. This is complemented by the wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafes within 5 minutes walk, with yet more along the promenade, marina and in the old Town. Its location and travel connections make it suitable for a beach holiday and/ or active sightseeing holiday. You can avoid hiring a car as everything you need is only a walk away. However a dedicated garage parking space is provided.

Torredembarra is a very Spanish small sea side resort full of life and character. Its main attraction is its magnificent beach backed by a lovely palm lined pedestrian promenade.The nearby marina offers boat hire and fishing trips.Immediately in front of the apartment,the beach is set out for sports such as volley ball. The sandy beach slopes gently to shallow water and is patrolled throughout the season making it very safe for young children. Along the promenade, the yacht club is the start point for water sports and sailing lessons.Further along the beach stretches into the distance and is backed by a nature reserve.

The old Town centre ,at 10 minutes walk ,is a maze of narrow streets with small shops, pavement cafes, and weekly market providing local character. However ,Torredembarra also has all the necessary modern facilities to support visitors.

Excellent location for a family holiday

This property is an excellent location for a relaxing family holiday with a mixture of children aged 15 - 11. The property is clean and well managed with a great local agent. The property has all the facilities required and plenty of room.

It is well located close to the beach, local shops and restaurants which are plentiful and offer good value for money.

The location provides an excellent base for travelling both up and down the coast to Barcelona (an hour North), Tarragona (20mins. South) and Porta Ventura (40mins. South).

Underground off road car parking is available and very useful in the climate.

Lovely relaxed holiday

The apartment is clean, well equipped and in a very good position close to the train station and the beach.

Torredembarra is a quiet Spanish resort. A easy hour long train journey from Barcelona.

Miles of beach to walk and small coastal towns and villages to explore by train or bus - or walk if you are feeling energetic.

If you are looking for a very lively holiday this is not for you, but if you are looking for a small town off the English tourist map this is lovely place.

Clean spacious apartment very close to the beach

Many thanks to our hosts for letting us use this clean comfortable and spacious apartment. We visited out of season and there was very little noise despite being just 500 yards from the beach- no local discos or late night bars . Having a decent kitchen and washing machine made a difference to our family as well as plenty of bathrooms and a good shower and bath. Nik Met us on arrival and then on our departure, even though we had to leave at 6.15am for an early flight.

There is a good cafe/panaderia for daily supplies just one block away and a seasonal Spar 2 blocks away. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the railway station.

Towels and bed linen were supplied, there were duvets and blankets for the beds.

Theres lots of terrace space, on the roof and balconies.

The apartment has a lift to the 4th floor and the property felt secure, with 3 locked doors to access the flat.

Communication with the owners has been excellent.

In summary I would highly recommend this property.

Stunning apartment, comfortable and clean.

This was our second time to this apartment because the first time was so excellent. For the cost one would perhaps not have expected the size, amazing en suite bathroom and own door to the balcony from the bedroom. So much space but a super communal dining area to have a meal with the whole family in the evening. Value for money was excellent. We just love it for it's feeling of luxery and choice of where to sunbathe and everything in the apartment to use. Tables and chairs on each balcony, sun loungers for the solarium, a very happy afternoon spent sunbathing up there! There was nothing left out but also knowing that if there had been a problem Nik was at the end of a phone, spoke English and was very approachable, would sort anything out for you immediately. Torremdembarra itself can be quiet at times but if you do your research beforehand and know what you want from your holiday then you'll know whether Torremdembarra is for you or not. Salou and Tarragona a train ride away on excellent public transport. I have to add a token of gratitude to La Luna, the local restaurant who serve fabulous food pretty much all day and the owners were accommodating, friendly and just lovely to the children. The only problem with the holiday I had was coming home!

Excellent relaxing holiday

My family of 6 has just spent a thoroughly enjoyable 10 days in Torredembarra.

The apartment was spotlessly clean,spacious and fully equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday, even including buckets and spades,beach towels,parasols and inflatables for the pool and beach.

Every morning we would spend a couple of hours at the pool which we had virtually to ourselves.

Afternoons were spent at the beach.-and what a superb beach it was. Only a 4 minute walk from the apartment and with wonderful warm ,clear water which remained shallow for a long way out-ideal for children.

Torredembarra itself has an array of places to eat,whether it be in the old town (a 10 minute walk away) or along the sea front which is closer.Torredembarra is a family orientated Spanish town with lots of history.We ourselves witnessed a traditional Spanish festival whilst there which was fascinating.Taragona is also well worth a visit,being only a 20 minute coach journey and full of Roman architecture and great shops.What an exquisite city!

Finally the owners were extremely helpful during the booking process and afterwards,being always at the end of a phone for advice.During the stay Nik and Michele,the managers, were on hand to assist, even meeting to help me check in online for my return flights(not an easy feat with Ryanair!)

I would not hesitate in recommending this apartment and would be very likely to return myself.

comfortable convenient and reasonable price

The apartment had everthing we needed and more, swimming pool brilliant .roof terrace very good, beds well equiped and comfortable living area spacious and clean we used the balconey for meals,we cooked meals in the well appointed kitchen.We used taxi from airport but would have just as easy by train The five of us enjoyed the local beach,restaurants and bars.The local shops selling fresh bread and local produce just a couple of minutes away very reasonable prices with all the favourite food and drink and local specialities.The main town is just a 20 min walk or catch the land train to the shops and supermarket The station just minutes away the fare to Bacelona very cheap and easy.A very pleasant and layed back holiday enjoyed by all

We chose Torredembarra for its wonderful facilities and very convenient access arrangements. We wanted a seaside resort smaller than some others along the coast and have found that Torredembarra has a very Spanish, friendly, family feel with a fine beach, good restaurants, bars, shops and a modern marina, all of which are very close to our apartment. We also needed a location with easy access to Barcelona and Reus Airports to make short visits as well as longer holidays practical.The addition of a railway station is a bonus because it makes travel along the coast so easy. The town has an access from the motorway but a car is not necessary as everything needed is within walking distance.

Coast/Beach:

Very large fine sandy beach with shallow water quite a long way out. Ideal for children.

The beach is equipped for sports (volleyball, football), loungers with shaded areas, cafes, toilets and lifeguards/medical support (in season), children's play area. We provide all necessary equipment for the beach (chairs ,umbrellas, buckets and spades,bats and balls, inflatables ,a two person dinghy and beach towels).

Marina with boat hire and fishing trips.

There is a long pedestrian promenade with tourist information centre (incl. free wi-fi), cafe, restaurants and bars at the end of which there is a wildlife reserve.

Travel:

Barcelona airport: 1 hour by car. Also easily accessible by train(every hour in the day time) and directly from Torredembarra by bus(once each day)

Reus Airport ;30 minutes by car/taxi.Indirectly by train.

Gerona airport: 1 1/2 hours by car/taxi.

Torredembarra train station is a 7 min walk from the apartment and on the main Mediterranean coast line.

Torredembarra is a historic Spanish Town with lots of character, a maze of narrow streets and a weekly market.The Town has a full range of shops and supermarkets, banks, post office and support services together with a modern medical centre.

Nearby Tarragona (10 minutes by car or train) is an UNESCO world heritage site with a Roman circus, a well preserved amphitheatre , many other important archaeoligical sites and a gothic Cathedral.It also has several shopping centres, theatres ,cinemas and concert halls . There is a programme of festivals and special events throughout the year.

The provence of Tarragona produces some fine wines and there are some excellent wineries to be visited .

Port Aventura (3 stops on the train) is one of Europes premier theme parks.

The Costa Dorada has many smaller coastal resorts, with stations on the direct line from Torredembarra which can be explored by train

We prefer a booking of 1 week beginning on Saturday from early July to mid August if your preferred flight schedules allow.However we realise that this may not be practical and you are welcome to ask for alternatives. A 25% non refundable deposit to reserve; non refundable balance paid 30 days before arrival. Further refundable deposit of £100 is required with payment of balance; this deposit is held against damage to the property or loss of keys. The keys are provided by our local English manager who will meet you at the apartment at a mutually agreed time and be available throughout your stay.

Changeover Day:
July and August- We prefer Saturday changeover from 5pm onwards; leave by 10am on day of departure. However we will always consider other start days to accommodate your flight /travel arrangements whenever possible. We will also store your luggage immediately before and after these times. All other months - flexible arrangements to suit your travel plans.

Notes on prices:
For lets of partial weeks eg 10 days the price is the weekly rate plus the day rate for the additional days.For low season dates-November to March the price quoted is for two persons.Each additional person incurs a supplement of £3 pppn. Mid and high season prices are for up to six persons.

The apartment is set up and equipped as our family holiday home with everything needed for comfort and ease of use inside and out. The balcony and solarium offer sun or shade from sunrise to sunset. We have equipment and umbrellas for the beach. We are happy to share all of this for your enjoyment. We have an English couple nearby who meet guests on arrival and are available throughout the stay which our guests have found to be very helpful. If you choose to stay at our apartment we will do everything we can to ensure your comfort and we will accommodate your travel arrangements when possible including storing your luggage. We provide a full set of guidance notes giving practical information about the apartment and immediate area to help get your holiday started as soon as you arrive.
