Bright, spacious 2 bedroom villa in an exclusive complex set in beautiful gardens. The large roof terrace has views of the extensive gardens and large communal pool as well as the sea. The bedrooms and main bathroom are on the first floor. A modern well equipped kitchen leads directly to a large lounge with large French windows leading onto a small garden with terrace. Through a rear gate there is direct access to the pool area. This is an exclusive property set in a tranquil location ideally suited for families. A peaceful location near to Nerja and the surrounding beaches.

About Jill Hendrickse

Hi, We are Mark and Jill who live on The Fylde Coast in Lancashire. We have two children, the eldest is a newly qualified teacher and our youngest is at Uni at present, two dogs, Toby and Sadie and Mae Mobley the cat. We have had our property in Nerja since 2005. We chose it as it is an ideal place for all age groups. Our children loved the place when they were in their early teens and now they enjoy coming over with their friends and partners.

Why Jill Hendrickse chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

We have always loved Nerja and had often thought about buying a property over there. After an extensive property search of the area we fell in love with the complex Jardines de Nerja and our lovely townhouse. The area is very beautiful, there is lots to do,and places to visit nearby including the marina at Marina del Este, La Herradurra. Nerja maintains its beauty, particularly as ther are virtually no high rise apartments or hotels. The town has a great traditionally Spanish feel to it and has a lovely vibrant atmosphere. The Balcon de Europa is a wonderful place to stroll and people watch in the evening. There are numerous good quality restaurants and bars you are spoilt for choice really. There are a number of lovely beaches some with watersport facilities, others just quietly relaxing.

What makes this house unique

It is difficult to tear oneself away from the Villa and gardens of the complex. The gardens are so lush and beautiful with lots of lemon, orange and fig trees.The pool is well maintained and very attractive. You can sunbathe in privacy on your own roof terrace or in your own private garden or take your sunbeds out to lie by the pool. There are sea and mountain views from the house. Although it is possible to walk to the beach and the town centre, there is a regular bus service and private parking. There is also a handy local supermarket 5 minutes walk away which has a great selection of food and drinks.

Notes on accommodation: All rooms have ceiling fans. Main bedroom has air conditioning. Heaters for Winter. Free wifi. Outside: Both the private roof terrace and private garden have a patio table with chairs. They also have sun loungers. The private garden has a BBQ. There is a lockable gate from the private garden into the communal gardens which are beautifully kept and have a large attractive pool and small toddler/baby pool. There are sea views from the garden and the roof terrace. The roof terrace overlooks the extensive gardens / pool area with views of the Mediterranean, sun loungers and provided for both the roof terrace and for the pool area. Utility Room: utility storage under staircase has electric boiler, mobile gas heater, electric heaters, vacuum cleaner and full cleaning equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included and are changed weekly when the property is also cleaned. For extended winter lets cleaning is by prior arrangement.

Excellent accommodation and complex.

The apartment is excellent, a real homely feeling with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The pool area is ideal, especially for those with young families, and for those without, it was really quiet.

The complex itself is very well kept and extremely secure with locking gates to all areas.

Jill, the owner is really helpful and always replies, she sorted out one or two little things for us immediately.

We recommend this apartment / house and it will certainly be where we will hopefully stay again on our return to Nerja.

Very Nice Villa

We had a very enjoyable stay and the villa/town house is very spacious and comfortable, having all the Sky Sports channels was a real bonus!

My only negative comment is that I forget to duck a couple of times after going to the fridge and I have a couple of bumps to prove it !!!!

The complex is maintained very well and the swimming pools are fantastic both for adults and children.

We had some nice walks into town and the beach, but we normally got a cab or bus back (some of them hills are rather steep)

A real home from home with the added advantages of sunshine and a pool on your doorstep

Number 28 Jardines de Nerja is an excellent villa, our stay was enhanced immediately upon arrival by the provision of a very welcome, "Welcome pack". Our expectations of the villa were more than matched it is truly a home from home feel and a sense of comfortableness is all around. This wasn't our first visit to Jardines de Nerja but nevertheless sitting out on the veranda with that first cup of tea was a new experience as we were overlooking the pool.

Relaxing

We spent a week in this lovely villa in early September. The villa has everything you could need. The swimming pool was just a few steps from the back patio and is perfectly maintained, as are the surrounding gardens. We often had the pool to ourselves. It is only a short walk to a choice of supermarkets and restaurants and an approx. 15 minute walk into the centre of Nerja. We did not hire a car but used the bus which stops outside the complex every hour. This costs €1 and runs late into the evening. Nerja has beautiful beaches and numerous bars, cafés and restaurants and quaint shopping areas. It provides a great holiday destination for couples and families.

Great villa

We had a lovely 6week holiday in this lovely villa on a wonderful complex, the gardens are beautiful and very well looked after. Villa is very well equipped with everything you could need and very comfortable. It would have been an advantage to have a bigger freezer for our winter break but apart from that everything was perfect including the weather. Nerja is a great town and some lovely walks into the mountains from the villa.
