About the property

Holiday Home in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, England - Harbour Town, Beautiful 'Tucked Away' Location

Located in a beautiful muse of similar properties, this old Victorian fishermans cottage has undergone extensive renovations to make it a modern, light and comfortable holiday cottage. It is located in the heart of the conservation area of the harbour town of Yarmouth, making it a 2 minute walk to a swimming beach and a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Yar river with its many walking trails and renown for being a birdwatchers paradise. The cottage itself sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms and is equipped with everything required to make it a home away from home. It has a tasteful neutral interior, solid oak flooring and a modern kitchen. The oak bifold doors open the entire kitchen/dining area onto the patio and decking, making it a great cottage for summer evenings. It is ideal for children and we can provide safety equipment, cot, highchair, toys and books.

Please note: Parking is on street but we provide residents permits so you can park in the residents only parking bays located throughout Yarmouth. There is also a carpark under 2 minutes walk away.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Sea Drift cottage is beautiful, homely and had everything we needed with a toddler. I only wish it was our home every day. We loved Yarmouth and West Wight, a nice change from the East where we normally stay and we had a wonderful break, thank you so much.

Lovely cottage, great location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here despite the rain! The cottage is wonderfully clean & well equipped. There wasn't an ironing board but Heather arranged for a kindly neighbour to lend us one. We highly recommend Off the Rails for breakfast & Yarmouth deli for crab sandwiches. Would book agsin.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could want x

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well equipped, lovely decor and the location was fab - close enough to the town (Yarmouth) but not right in the centre.

No problem with parking (thank you for suppling parking tickets), it was such a lovely location. We will book again :-)

Stunning cottage in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is beautifully decorated, with suprisingly larger rooms than the external appearance suggests.

The star attraction is the slidu g doors from the kitchen to the wonderful, decked courtyard. Perfect for the summer... days and evenings.

A moments stroll from the high street and yet completely quiet, it is an ideal getaway location.

Would recommend to anyone. Brilliant location and a good vibe

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here and would return in a heartbeat. The cottage is so convenient for Yarmouth and the ferry, but on a very pretty and quiet street. Inside it is well kitted out with some nice design touches - we loved the blue Smeg fridge! Heather is super helpful if you need anything.

Sea Drift Cottage

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was well presented, simple with nice clean lines in keeping with the style and location. When we arrived the cottage was really clean and the kitchen was very well equipped for a holiday cottage. We didn't think we would need the washing machine, but it came in handy. There are cafe doors to the back of the property and a partly covered patio - so you can sit outside in any weather.

It was also nice to have a welcome pint of milk and loaf of bread.

The owners added a really nice touch by providing welcome information about restaurants and places to go, but with the added information about their own experiences.

The location was perfect - walking distance from the pier, bars and restaurants. It was a bit tricky to find - a map might have helped this rather than a description. Had to look on Google maps

There were lots of beaches and attractions within a short drive. We would definitely recommend Sea Drift Cottage.

The only negative was the parking - when you unload the car you have to park at the end of the street (not far) and then you have to find another parking space and use the parking permit.
