(Ostuni) Villa with Spectacular Sea View, nr Carovigno, Private Pool, 5*Rating

Updated: 11-Oct-2016
Villa near Ostuni, Brindisi, Puglia - We Are Located In The Countryside With The Many Sandy Beaches Of The Puglian Coast Only 5km Away

Rarely do countryside villas have such stunning views of the coastline as Villa Fioretto. This beautiful villa is immersed in the Southern Italian countryside and looks out over acres of verdant olive groves, all the way to the Adriatic Sea. The architecture of the house has been designed to reflect the local style, with a fresh feel. The stone archways around the panoramic sun terraces create a stylish shaded dining area for lazy breakfasts and long lunches. The 8x4m swimming pool is perfect for cooling off in the heat of the summer. The many sandy beaches of the Puglian coast are easily reached from Villa Fioretto – just a picturesque drive through the olive groves. The famous White City of Ostuni is a short distance away and visitors can enjoy a wide selection of restaurants and bars among its beautiful cobbled streets. Even closer is the town of Carovigno, completely untouched by tourism and offering excellent home-cooked cuisine and also a noted gourmet restaurant.

Wonderful Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely two weeks in this very peaceful and secluded villa, set in olive tree groves, with views over the sea. The villa was finished to a high quality with a very spacious open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. The three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms all over-looking the pool. The owners, Nigel and Mel were very helpful at making us feel welcome and providing ideas about things to do in the area and provided us with a delicious welcome pack including their own locally pressed olive oil! You will need a car. The nearby town of Caravigno is only ten minutes away and is charming, it provided all every day needs and delicious local Puglia produce. There are some excellent local restaurants. We highly recommend this villa.

July 2016 Villa Review

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful holiday at the villa - perfect position very quiet but just a short drive to everything you need.

Really appreciated the breeze that the villa receives every day - keeps thing cool and fresh especially on hotter days.

Nigel the villa owner was friendly and attentive and we appreciated the fact that he was very local to the villa should we require any help.

We can completely recommend this villa to any future guests thinking of staying in this part of Italy.

wonderful stay in a villa with stunnings views

  • 5 of 5

We've just had a great week in this lovely villa surrounded by mature Olive trees and wonderful views. This is a well equipped villa with a gorgeous pool, immaculately presented. The owners Mel and Nigel could not have been more helpful and welcoming , leaving some v tasty cakes, baked at the local Chocolate Cafe in Caravigno (really amazing cakes and good coffee) for us on arrival. Lots of interesting places to see in the area plus the sea side near by, we didn't want to leave. Recommended! Jo, Chris,Liv and Fin

Beautiful villa and location

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed a fantastic week at this lovely villa. The villa is very well equipped and maintained with magnificent views towards the coast. It is situated in a quiet rural area and easily accessible to lovely beaches and characterful towns. We would return without any hesitation and appreciated the low key generous hospitality of the owners Nigel & Melanie.

Absolutely stunning location and a beautiful villa

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay and we will be back. The villa is beautiful, well maintained, well equipped and in a fabulous location overlooking the sea.

Carovigno has everything from fresh fish and pasta to fantastic churches and architecture - and it's just 20 mins from Ostuni and 10 mins from the sea.

Mel and Nigel are great hosts and always on call if you need anything.

We couldn't recommend a stay here more highly.

Beautiful Villa

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful villa with stunning views! I would definately recommend this villa for couples/ families but not with young children as it is highly unsuitable for little ones due to the shear drops by the pool area etc

We had a lovel time but were exhausted by having to constantly watch our daughter.

From the Owner

When we first came to Italy it was not our intention to build a villa; however, our Estate Agent 'Luigi' showed us this beautiful piece of land that we fell in love with straight away. There are spectacular views of the sea; we have fig, almond trees and Olive trees that stretch as far as the eye can see all the way to the coast. The villa is quite secluded, and sits in 8,000 sqm which means it is very tranquil and private. The nearest town is Carovigno which is 3km by car. This part of Italy, (Puglia) is still unspoilt and this was one of the reasons we fell in love with the town. Ostuni (the white city) is only 8km away, and is very busy with shops, restaurants and bars. Both towns are open all year around, so even if you visit out of peak season there is still lots to do.

Set between two seas and boasting more than 750 kilometres of coastline, Puglia has some of the most stunning beaches in Italy. We are 5km, 6 mins by car, to the beaches of Santa Sabina and Pantanagiani.

Most beaches offer facilities such as beach bars, and there are also plenty of quieter beaches on which to simply sit back and relax. Discover an amazing array of bird and marine life amid the pristine coastline and countryside within the nearby coastal nature reserve of Torre Guacato (13.2km).

We are 4km from Carovigno, with its Castle, and only 11km away is Ostuni "La Citta Bianca".The whitewashed houses and narrow lanes of "La Terra" the old quarters in the "Centro Storico" are known all over the world for its original architecture.

The UNESCO World Heritage town of Alberobello is only 55km away. The Caves at Castellana Grotte (63km away) are one of Italy's most famous and are more than 2km long.

The Fasano Zoo (38km) is excellent fun for every age group and worth a day trip.

Further Details:

In Ostuni and Carovigno you can find a wide variety of restaurants, osterias, ice-cream parlours and pizzerias. Visit the Castle in Carovigno, where during the summer months, many concerts take place. Also many "Festas" take place in the town center Piazza. Ostuni's Piazza Liberta is a great place to see various music concerts, religious parades, Street entertainers and much more. The famous Horse Parade of "St Oronzo" takes place, in August, through the streets of Ostuni. The architecture in these towns is very beautiful and representative of the area. The local supermarket is approximately five minutes by car. Both Ostuni and Carovigno have excellent individual fish, meat, pasta, fruit and vegetable, wine and cheese shops. The Carovigno open air market, every Tuesday, and the Saturday market in Ostuni, are a must visit to grab a bargain. The Villa also provides easy access to other beautiful Baroque towns of Lecce, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and the Famous Trulli of Alberobello.

From the Owner

Villa Fioretto is very spacious, and the vaulted ceilings add to the character. Whilst the villa is secluded, it is only a short distance to the Adriatic sea and the small fishing village of 'Santa Sabina'. The property is on one level, and every room has patio doors which open up out onto the pool area and the fantastic views of the sea. The Blue Flag Guide for 2013 has been published, listing the Foundation for Environmental Education’s approved beaches. Their criteria are based around Environmental Education and Information; Water Quality; Environmental Management and Safety and Services. Puglia has ten beaches that have won a Blue Flag, two of them within 20 minutes of Villa Fioretto, Camerini Creta Rossa, Costa Merlata Torre Pozzelle and Lido Morelli Rosa Marina.
