About the property

Ski Apartment in Samoens, Haute Savoie, Rhone Alpes, France - Quiet Location, Beautiful Mountain Views. 15 Min. Walk To Village Centre

Chalet Anpie was completed in 2009 and has wonderful terrace views across the Giffre valley to surrounding mountains. This new and attractive apartment is sympathetically and efficiently designed. The large 20 m2 terrace is south facing, ideal for catching winter sunshine and providing a lovely outdoor area in the summer. There is a lockable ski locker and cellar. A 15 min. stroll takes you to the village centre or to the outdoor swimming pool and leisure complex situated close to the river Giffre which runs through Samoens. It is a 5 min. drive to the ski lifts at Samoens, Verclaud and Morillon and the ski bus at the end of the road runs during school holidays. Chalet Anpie is situated on the hillside below the Col de Joux Plane mountain road. In this area of stunning scenic beauty there are endless routes to explore on foot, by bike or on skis.

About Debbie Simpson

I live in the UK with my 4 children, working as a physiotherapist and pilates instructor. We love the outdoors and ski holidays have always been a priority. In the summer we especially enjoy mountain biking, running and hiking. So when the opportunity arose to buy an apartment in the alps I decided Samoens was an ideal location. Samoens is a beautiful, historic town with plenty of character and a lovely relaxed atmosphere, equally attractive in the summer as in the winter. Proximity to Geneva airport and easy access by car is a positive consideration. But most importantly the sporting facilities are ideal for the needs of my active family, suiting our range of ages and individual preferences.

Why Debbie Simpson chose Flaine - Grand Massif

The ski area offers a great range of pistes, from tree covered runs down into Les Carroz and Morillon to higher, north facing reds and blacks in Samoens and Flaine. Also plenty of opportunities for off-piste exploration, skinning and touring as well as several cross-country ski routes. In the summer my sons love downhill mountain biking so we drive up to the Col de Joux Plane from where they link into the lift system at Les Gets and Morzine. There are numerous, varied routes for trail running and hiking around Samoens. For climbing or more adventurous off piste skiing Chamonix is just 45 minutes away by car.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the location of our apartment perched on the hillside with wonderful views, but close enough to stroll into town for breakfast croissants. The large terrace was the deciding factor when choosing to buy the apartment. Sitting outside with early morning tea and relaxing with a glass of wine when the day's activities are over...soaking up the rays or sitting quietly with a book while enjoying the mountain scenery...this is what makes the location special for me. I hope you'll agree!
