An excellent located property

The ground floor apartment is ideally located for all that Puerto Andraitx has to offer. It was exceptionally clean, well equipped and maintained, also the owner and manager were always available to help and advise us. We particularly enjoyed eating out at the various restaurants around the port. A couple of our favourites was the Club de Vela which is directly opposite the apartment and serves excellent food, whether you just want coffee and a snack or dining in the main restaurant. It is an ideal place to see all the boats and activities that go on in the port. Another of our favourites is the Villa Italia where the food is superb and the views are stunning.There is a market held in the old town of Andraitx each week which has a very good selection of stalls that sells fruit, vegetables, flowers and typical Majorcan crafts and well worth a visit. We cant wait to come back again, and have no hesitation in recommending this property to our family and friends.

Well situated

The first impression is that the apartment is very small. Advertised as sleeping four, it is really only suitable for two adults and two small chilren. The second bedroom has limited storage and no dressing table. It is very well equipped, with aircon In all three rooms. It was very nice to find beer, wine, bread etc provided. Whilst it has a dishwasher there is no washing machine - a real pain.

The TV is excellent. We would stay here again, providing that a washing machine was installed.

The apartment could use a parasol and we would stress again that really this flat is only suitable for two adults.

Restaurants are in walking distance and the yacht club is only yards away for evening drinks.

Special interest holidays:

Port Andratx has wonderful walking opportunities amongst beautiful scenery with stunning views of the island. Mallorca is also very popular with cyclists and is often used as a pre training destination before the tour de France. There is also scuba diving, snorkelling, hiking, rock-climbing, fishing and excursions available. The nature reserve of the island of Dragonera 5min away is worth a visit.

Coast/Beach:

Port Andratx has its own small beach which is a 2 minute drive away. Else larger beaches of Camp de Mar, Sant Elm and Paguera are no more then a 5-10 minutes drive with all types of water sports on offer for all ages. Boat and yacht hire is available in the port itself and there are numerous boat trips around the island to enjoy. There is also a local beach club with access to a cove which is only 2 minutes away. A water park is only 15 mins away as is the Marineland in Portals.

Travel:

Most low cost airlines fly into Palma de Mallorca airport which is a 30 minute drive away by car or taxi. Palma Port is 25 minutes. It is recommended to hire a car, although taxis are easy to obtain.

Distances:

Andratx town is 5 minutes, Santa Ponsa is 15 mins by car, Palma city is 25 mins by car, the north of the island e.g. Puerto Pollensa/Alcudia about 1 hour. The east to Cala d'Or takes also about one hour.

Further Details:

The yacht club has an amazing restaurant and a couple of cafés which is a stones through away from the the apartment. Shops, restaurants, bars, cafés, supermarkets and banks all with in a 10 minute walking distance. There is also 2 children's play-area´s 2min and 5min walk from the apartment!

To secure the reservation a 25% deposit is required and the final payment is required 8 weeks before the departure date. A 500€ refundable damage deposit will also be required which will be returned returned within seven days following inspection of the house.
