Vera Coast apartments are surrounded by beautiful walkways and Gardens and 2 minutes walk to the beach. The fishing village of Garrucha is a lovely stroll down the beach or promenade. There you will find some excellent fish restaurants and every Friday an open street market. 10 minutes drive up into the mountains you can get to the stunning mountain village of Mojacar with its beautiful boutiques, cafe's, restaurants and bars, also a market every Wednesday. A large village square where they hold there Fiesta's and has panoramic views of the Andalucian countryside.

Me and my hubbie live in Essex, England. Always loved travelling, but brought in Spain as its so easy and cheap to get to, love the food, wine and culture. Such a relaxing and beautiful place.

Why The Owner chose Mojacar area

Why buy at Vera Coast? I use to visit Mojacar when I was a teenager, as my school friend had family out there. Fantastic memories, and got to love the place and surrounding areas no high rise hotels anywhere on Vera Playa. I was so impressed with the apartments and gardens, it was a very easy choice to make

What makes this apartment unique

Love Vera Coast, all the gardens are so well maintained and beautiful, we just relax from the moment we arrive. Its our home from home and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

Notes on accommodation: Lovely apartment, air conditioned, mosquito nets at all the windows. Outdoor table and chairs. Duvets for those winters lets. Local contact in case of emergencies. Outside: Two lovely outdoor pools, the main pool has a restaurant and bar, the other is more relaxed. Children's play area, shared gardens. A small outdoor area just in front of apartment for alfresco dinning and relaxing outside. Bicycles, tennis courts for hire nearby. Golf courses, Aqua park, National park and mini Hollywood are some of the local attractions. Lots of restaurants around the complex and in the village of Garruacha without the need to drive. Utility Room: Iron, ironing board, clothes airer and safe. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and bath towels provided. Beach towels are not provided. Additional cleaning and welcome packs are available on request but at an additional charge.

Fantastic location

There were 3 of us 2 adults 1 child 16 years. We stayed for 11 nights. Had a fantastic holiday. The apartment was clean and well presented with everything you needed. The owner Nuala was very helpful. The complex was lovely with 2 pools. It was a 5 mins walk to the beach and restaurants. A pleasant 15 mins walk into garrucha. We also walked along the beach to Puerto Rey or 5 Euro's in a taxi which we did one night and had a lovely meal at the gateway to India. I would highly recommend this property and complex it's in the perfect location no need to hire a car.

Great location, lovely apartment

There were 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 & 9. We stayed for 10 days end July/ start of August and had a fantastic holiday. The apartment suited us perfectly, it had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, and is on a lovely complex with 2 great pools and lovely gardens. We spent a lot of time at the pool closest to the apartment as it was a perfect depth for the children, the other pool with the bar being a bit deeper. The beach, restaurants and bars were only a 5 min walk away and if you wanted to go to Garrucha it was a pleasant 15min walk along the promenade or there was a little land train for a few euros which the kids loved. We took the bus to Mojacar a couple of times, which has amazing views, lovely restaurants and lots of gift shops. We travelled from and to the airport with Exclusive airport shuttles who were very reasonable and reliable, and we didn't feel the need for a hire car. There was a small shop with all the essentials between the apartment and the beach, which we found that reasonably priced. There were things to do nearby like a water park but mostly we were happy to relax and play by the pool or on the beach. Great communication with the owners - Nuala was just wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend it, we didn't want to leave we had such a good time!

Enjoyed our stay

Well-equipped, clean, apartment in a beautifully maintained holiday complex with a lovely pool area, with plenty of sun loungers/umbrellas. Apartment is close to beach with good bars and restaurants. Mojacar Playa, a short drive away, is well worth a visit.

Apartment in Vera Beach

Beautiful complex with two outdoor pools although one closed during our 2nd week. The apartment was spacious and extremely well-equipped. The owner gave us plenty of information before we left about the complex, the surrounding area and the property. There were plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance, both on the beachfront and near Las Bouganvillas roundabout. We found a new one this season on the front called The Bistro, a family run concern. They were extremely friendly and welcoming and did an amazing three course menu for 12.75 euros.

We did discover a problem with the buses - from 19 September they started their winter timetable and twice we got caught as they had cut out the last two buses and we had to get taxis. No-one we asked knew anything about this.

All in all we had an extremely enjoyable holiday.

just had a brilliant time in garrucha fab

The property was so clean everything yoi could possibly need was in it . The location was fabulous all amenities were on site with a short walk to beach and restaurants will definitely go again x

Great home away from home.

The apartment is located on ground floor in a 2-storey building, close to the swimming pool but not immediately opposite it, which makes the location both quiet and convenient. It's spacious, has easily enough space for family of four, and consists of a large and well equipped kitchen with living room, a hall with wardrobes providing lots of storage space, a good size bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower. There is a surprisingly comfy sofa bed in the living room, as well as a proper 4-place table with chairs.

The apartment is very well equipped, from the kitchen having full hob and oven, washing machine, to pans, pots and plates, to utensils like bottle openers or screwdrivers; the only thing you might wish for in the kitchen would be a dishwasher, but honestly-who needs a dishwasher on holiday? The air conditioning works very well, helped by ceiling fans, which was a relief in the 33+ degrees heat. There is no wi-fi in the apartment, but walk 20 yards towards the reception or go to the pool bar and here you go. Unlike most of the "holiday wi-fis" I experienced, the one in the complex actually WORKS and you have what you want in seconds rather than half-hours. The password is available at the reception or the bar. One other thing worth commending is the boiler, which, with a family of three, never ran out of hot water.

The Vera Coast complex is a fenced holiday home complex, reminiscent of aparthotels although offering a bit more freedom. Two outdoor pools (one with salty water and a bar, the other one free-shaped with fresh water) offer plenty for someone who likes their days spent on a sunbed with drinks :). We had bees in the bum, so, though pretty they are, we didn't use the pools much. There is also a restaurant on site (can't grade it as never used this one) and a couple others nearby, as well as a local shop 2 minutes away. The complex is located near the sea, in a quiet quarter, and you can walk to the beach in about 5 minutes.

The owners were communicative and lovely to deal with. I loved the short guide they prepared and left in the drawer, of all the basics you may want to know - what's where, how to get around, and where they think it's worth going. So thank you for letting us know about the beaches past the Castillo Macenas (our favourite ever) and Cortijo Cabrera :).

To sum it up, this was a lovely holiday - helped a great deal by the quality and features of our accommodation. I can only recommend it highly.

Almeria airport is the nearest, which is serviced by the low cost airlines, around a 45 minutes drive to the apartment. Murcia and Alicante is around a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive. Car hire is recommended.


Mojacar, Turre, Vera and Villaricos are about a 10 minutes drive. Garrucha a 15 minute walk along the beach or Promenade.
