About the Owner

We have been visiting Cala D'Or for many years now as a family and previously owned a small Finca in the countryside. As the children began to grow we found we spent most of our time around the Marina area using the Yacht Club as a base and eating in the fabulous restaurants which can be found here. A few years ago we purchased these villas overlooking the Marina as a base for ourselves and friends, we have since purchased another property close by and mainly use these villas for friends and rentals. We are confident you will love this area as much as we do as there really is something for everyone, the beaches and coastline are stunning and the variety of restaurants, bars etc in the evening is fantastic - we never tire of holidaying here and now consider it our second home.

‘Mcgrail Family’ The villa was high quality, clean, spacious & in a fantastic location overlooking the marina. The pool was a high point, having two young children it was hard to keep them out & provided hours of fun! The layout was perfect & a safe environment for them to be in. The property management & cleaners provided us with an excellent service which made our stay a pleasurable one. That’s why we’ve booked another 2 weeks in August '12



'Fairhurst Family' The villa is in a perfect setting, overlooking the Marina with fantastic views & sunshine on each of the 3 terraces. The pool has full sunshine all day & we had hours of fun! The villa is large, airy & beautifully furnished with gorgeous bedrooms & super comfortable beds! The kitchen is fantastic & equiped with the best appliances. The villa was beautifully clean & the welcome pack included wines & beers as well as usual necessities such as milk, bread etc. We would recommend this villa to anyone! It's gorgeous! Thank you!

Amazing holiday home

Just spent a glorious week in this property, very spacious, clean and fantastically equipped. Location perfect, right on the beautiful marina with no less than 4 terraces with stunning views. Pool was lovely and much needed with the weather we had. We ate at several restaurants on the marina with our two young children and all the food was excellent, with very friendly staff. Jayne the house manager was very helpful and responsive to any needs. Overall couldn't fault it and wish we had been able to book for longer!

We have just spent the last week in this Villa, it was beautiful. Beautiful Villa & Perfect Location and the view from the villa onto the Marina is better than you could imagine.

It's modern, comfortable, well equipped and great layout with a lovely pool, patio and garden.

I must say the pictures and description on the website do not do it justice.

The surrounding restaurants are a 2 minute walk from Villa, just down the steps in front of the villa and you are there the yacht club is beautiful. They have a singer twice a week who makes a fantastic fun evening.

Clare Hermitage who deals with it in England cannot be more helpful.

Family holiday.

Villa lived up to and beyond our expectations! Superb location and view! Facilities within the villa were excellent. Villa was spacious and very clean. We really appreciated the gated access to the pool as we had small children with us. Our welcome pack included wine and beer. Previous renters had left bits and pieces,as we did, and this was helpful until we got a big shop in! It would have been handy to have wifi but no bad thing not to! We would have been willing to pay a charge for access. Having said that ,it is available all around. I would recommend this villa and location. Hope to visit again - we were sad to leave!

Coast/Beach:

The closest sandy beach is Cala D'Or and is 15 minutes walk away or a few minutes by land train. There are another 5 beaches within the local area and all perfect for the younger swimmers. Each beach offers a variety of watersports and glass bottom boat trips. Mondrago National Park is 10 minutes away by car and is a stunning beach with toilets, restaurants and a small child's play area.

Travel:

Cala D'Or is approximately a 50 minute drive from Palma Airport. It is not essential to have a car as everything is close at hand and taxis and a land train service the local area.

Further Details:

There are several waterparks near Cala D'Or and the closest is just 30 minutes away in Arenal. There are family shows in Palma Nova and Palma for a good night out. On a Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday there are local markets. Scuba diving is also available in the resort.

Bicycles can be hired locally and horse riding can be booked about 5 minutes from the resort.

Linen, including towels for use in the villa are provided, however you will need to bring your own pool/beach towels. Complimentary welcome pack provided. A small BBQ is provided. The villa has a small safe for storage of valuables. Arrivals any day, minimum stay 5 nights off peak, 7 nights July/Aug. Car hire is recommended but not essential. Each villa has 1 travel cot (linen not provided) and a highchair, extra cots/highchairs can be hired at an additional cost, please provide plenty of notice. Please note that the local area can suffer poor satellite reception during the evenings so the Sky reception can be intermittent, unfortunately this is outside of our control. Outside: Private driveways with remote controlled gates lead to the garages. The garage in 47a remains locked and is not offered to guests as the family store personal belongings here. Patio doors lead from the villa to a covered dining terrace, from where gated steps lead down to the private infinity style pool (8m x 3m, depth 1.2m to 1.6m), lawns and sunbathing area - 8 sunbeds provided. Parasol's are not provided, however shade can be sought under the covered dining area or relatively cheap disposable beach parasols can be purchased locally. A small BBQ is provided on the outside dining terrace. All 3 upstairs bedrooms have balconies with marina views. Each villa has a large roof terrace with dining table and chairs and views of the Marina. Other: The garage in this property is not available to rental guests and will be kept locked.
