This 3 bedroom apartment in La Daille has just been renovated to a high standard offering very comfortable accommodation for 6 people. It is situated in an apartment block on the slopes therefore is ski in, ski out. It has a great atmosphere and is a fabulous place to come back to after a long day's skiing. We are offering additional benefits to make your stay more enjoyable which are included in the rental price. For instance, the kitchen will be supplied with coffee, tea, flour, sugar, rice, a large selection of herbs & spices, olive oil & vinegars. Also there are L'Occitane products in each bathroom: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap. Both bathrooms have a hairdryer & each bedroom has a radio/alarm clock with iPod dock. Your beds will be made for your arrival with 10 tog goose down duvets and 2 goose down pillows per person. Also each guest will be supplied with a white towelling robe. Mid-week clean.

Just a note to say thank you, and how much we enjoyed staying in your apartment. It is a really lovely place to stay - so tastefully decorated with quality furnishings, appliances and utensils; plus the little extras you provided (toiletries, free wifi, English TV channels, parking, tea, coffee, etc.) make it even more special. Although it didn't snow, we enjoyed some good skiing in the sun as cold temperatures had enabled the snow canons to operate, and the pistes were well groomed. I think La Daille must be the best place to stay as it is right in the middle of the Val d' Isere and Tignes ski area. Your apartment is great as it so convenient being able to 'ski in and out.' We also appreciated the quietness of it and were glad we weren't in the busier Centre. Carol February 2011

A wonderful stay in Val

My stay in La Daille was my second in as many years, both times I've stayed in La Santel 188. The first thing to understand is that this is someone's home and thus it feels completely different to being in a hotel or chalet. You really can relax and enjoy the alps whilst staying here. The accommodation is modern and of a very high standard with all the mod cons you'd expect whilst still feeling homely. The complex itself is served by a small but well stocked supermarket and all the other shops you'd need such as ski hire and places to eat.

There are good transport links into the centre (take 2 mins if you don't want to walk) so you can have a nice evening out (or day if you're not on the slopes).

As for the skiing and apres ski. The location of the accommodation really is ski in and ski out, no trading at the beginning or start of the day. You're straight out on to a choice of lifts the run reliabily. The night life is also great fun with plenty of choice in terms of bars and restaurants.

If you've been thinking of val d'isere and are looking for somewhere to stay I can whole heartedly recommend la Santel 188. You won't regret it.

Great location, very well equipped apartment

The apartment is probably the best equipped apartment we have ever stayed in, it has everything you could ever possibly need, there is more than enough storage for all your luggage, clothing, ski equipment etc. you simply walk out of the apartment block onto the slopes, and you can ski a few different runs back to the door, the décor is lovely, the beds are very comfortable and the apartment was very clean when we arrived, the owner gave us a lot of extra information about the area, transport, shopping, eating out etc. and was always available to answer any of our questions. We arrived late on the first day and simply bought pizzas from the take away a few minutes away, there are also a few bars and restaurants very close by as well as the free bus into Val d'isere where there are lots of restaurants. Most evenings we cooked and stayed in as the apartment was very comfortable after a hard days skiing.

I would definitely recommend this accommodation to my family and friends and would definitely stay here again.

Superb ski-in ski-out apartment near Val d'Isere

This is a warm and comfortable apartment, conveniently located close to Val d'Isere, one minute from lifts to the ski area, and within easy reach of both the Val d'Isere and Tignes ski areas. The apartment was exceptionally well-equipped, and very clean. Despite being in a large complex, it was very quiet and had the added advantage of a lift straight up to the apartment's front door. Skis were conveniently stored in a locker room on the ground floor, and the heated boot rack in the apartment meant that our boots were always warm and dry. The owner provided clear and detailed information about the apartment and the resort prior to our arrival, and staff in-resort were extremely helpful and friendly and looked after us well during our stay. We had a great week, both the apartment and the resort lived up to our expectations, and we would definitely recommend the apartment.

le santel val d'isere

We have just returned from a perfect week in Val d'Isere staying in Le Santel, the flat was better than we had imagined, spotlessly clean and so welcoming with everything you could need for a panic free stay. the best equiped kitchen, bathrooms with yummy bubble bath, shampoo and cosy towelling dressing gowns. Very comfy beds with beautiful linen. The Owner has provided everything and more! The flat is brilliantly situated, so spoiling to be able to put your skiis on outside the building and ski back to the door. The views up the valley are exceptional. We would recommend this flat to anyone who wants the perfect self catering ski holiday (especially as you can order food to be delivered) in the best resort in the French Alps. Can't wait to go back

Travel:

There are flights to Geneva (2.5-3 hours away), Lyon (3 hours) and Chambery (1.5 hours). Bus services from Geneva and Lyon. Alternatively we can book a taxi for you (approximately 320 euros from Geneva and 400 euros from Lyon). Train services to Bourg St Maurice which is half an hour away from Val d'Isere. From there you can either take a bus or a taxi.

Further Details:

In La Daille there is a supermarket, bakery, ski shop, newsagent and several restaurants.

  • Notes on accommodation: There is a large selection of DVD's (approx 90) and also a variety of games to entertain children. As well as the dining table there are 4 bar stools in the kitchen area. Please do not wear either outdoor or high heeled shoes in the apartment as they will damage the wooden floor. No smoking. A garage is included in the price a few minutes walk away from the building. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble drier, ski boot drier (for 5 pairs of boots) and large utility sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Beds will be made up on arrival with 2 pillows per person, bath towel, hand towel, bath mat and towelling robe. The apartment is cleaned on change over day (generally Saturday) and there will be a mid-week clean.
