Country House Apartment,Lake Vinuela, Andalucia - Peaceful, Countryside Location With The Coast A Short Drive Away

Located near the typical Spanish hamlet of Las Casillas, the large, character, hillside Finca has been sympathetically restored by it's current owners. The ground floor level, a completely independent 1 bedroom apartment offers comfortable, very spacious accommodation for guests.

There is an abundance of rustic features whilst still having every modern amenity you could need. The large sitting room has a dining area seating 4 persons.The fully fitted modern kitchen has everything you would need for your stay.

Outside you have a large private,covered terrace for dining and relaxing.From here some steps lead to a large pool side terrace.

The house is surrounded by olive groves and almond trees with unrivalled Lake and Mountain views. This is the ideal place to get away from it all and to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the beaches, countryside and moorish villages of Andalucia, all just a short drive from the house. Recommended for adults who want to have a taste of true Spanish life yet be near busier towns and coastal resorts of the Costa del Sol.

The owners use the upper level which has 2 bedrooms,a spacious sitting room, separate dining room and large modern kitchen. This is also available for holiday lets from June to September,prices on request.The apartments can be rented individually or together.

Notes on accommodation: Sorry no pets. Smoking is allowed as long as it's outside. The property is not suitable for children under 5 years due to the rustic nature of the apartment and surrounding terraces. Outside: The apartment has it's own shaded private terrace for dining alfresco. A gas barbecue, table and chairs are provided. The pool (7x4m), which is used occasionally by the owners and who make sure it sparkles, has a huge terrace with plenty of sun loungers. You can sit and admire the views and terrace gardens in the shade of the olive trees.The views from both terraces are breathtaking and really seeing is believing! Relax in the Hot-tub/Jacuzzi under the stars! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided weekly. You are kindly asked to bring your own beach/pool towels. There is no additional charge for electricity, towels, linen or final clean. Other: On entering the apartment there is a bright furnished reception area. Access to your private, furnished terrace for outside dining.A few steps down to the wonderful swimming pool terrace. Excellent views towards La Maroma, the mountains and countryside.

The coast and numerous beaches are approx 20 min drive from the apartment. The Spanish resort of Torre Del Mar and other Costa beaches (20 mins), Nerja and it's caves(35mins).Los Romanes is very close,3 mins by car.There are 2 small supermarkets, a bar and 2 good restaurants close by. A boutique hotel ,Las Orchideas,with a superb restaurant can be found in Los Romanes. Lake Vinuela can be explored on foot and it's great bar/restaurant is walking distance from the house.


Malaga airport is 45 minutes drive.We meet all our guests nearby and accompany them to the house. Granada, Ronda and Corboba can be visited in a day. Car hire is essential.

A number of the lovely beaches of the Costa del Sol are easily reached by car which make the apartment ideal for a variety of activities should you want them.


Los Romanes, 3mins. Vinuela, 10mins.Nerja, 30mins, Granada 1hr. 20 mins.

Lake Vinuela is within walking distance from the house and is surrounded by numerous villages which are worth a visit and easily reached by car.

For those who like walking there are numerous delightful walks in the local country side and around the Lake. Granada, Ronda and Antequera can all be visited in a day from the apartment as can the great "Costa" beaches.

Further Details:

There are variety of shops, banks, bars and restaurants close by. Vinuela and Puente Don Manuel (10 mins drive). There is a Hypermarket and shopping mall in Velez Malaga, the capital of the Axarquia region.(15 mins) The house is a perfect place for outdoor activities: walking, rambling, fishing and birdwatching or just lazing by the pool.Sailing and canoeing on Lake Vinuela and horse riding in the country-side can be arranged for guests.The breathtaking scenery, particularly the Lake and Mountains, are inspirational for artists and photographers. As well as the large choice of coastal beaches, the house is ideally located to explore the many 'pueblo blancos' of inland Spain. Enjoy the many 'fiestas' in real Spain. Easter with it's processions and Summer with numerous village celebrations. You can be as busy or relaxed as you wish!
