Property was fantastic and would use again

  • 5 of 5

We could not have booked a more perfect setting and could not have asked for a more gracious host. Jo was fantastic to work with before, during and yes, even after our trip. She was truly brilliant. The property was incredibly clean, well kept and a fresh cake sitting on the counter upon our arrival was a very nice touch.

We had 5 people staying here and we were all incredibly comfortable. And the beds....oh my god, it was the best nights sleep we have had in a very long time. I do not have enough words to praise Jo or the property. Regardless of where our travels may take us next time we return to England, it is Jo, and all the help she gave that would take us back to this particular property every time. We wouldn't stay anywhere else now.

Staying for work purposes or a family holiday, this is a place i would definitely recommend.

On arriving the owner of the property greeted us with a tour of the property and the hot tub. Situated on the farm grounds, there is a fantastic opportunity for children to see the local farm animals, in a pristine family setting.

the cottages are faultless, with complimentary tea/coffe/ clean towels and linen all ready. Even cake in the kitchen!

They are beautifly decorated and an incredible price for the stay.

hospitality was impeccable - only a phone call away if needed

our car unfortunately wouldn't start on leaving the property and the owners personally came to assist us on their saturday off.

would highly recommend - absolutely beautiful

Fantastic week spent in a beautiful cottage!

  • 5 of 5

My family spent a week in the Blossom cottage over the half term holiday and we were not disappointed. The cottage has been beautifully renovated in a lovely, peaceful setting. There was everything we could have asked for and everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The owners met us on arrival, they were very friendly and helped us with any queries. They even left us a delicious cake and fresh flowers! Our children particularly liked learning about the cows on the farm. We would highly recommend staying in Blossom cottage and hope to return next year! Thanks again for having us! The Powell Family x

Won't be returning!

  • 1 of 5

My parents booked this cottage for a early break away and invited myself , husband and 4 year old boy along too! I have never written a bad review in my life before but on this occasion I felt it necessary! The cottage itself was lovely and perfect for our stay! On arrival we was told by the owner that the bath was not to be used due to a leak and the plumber was due that evening! Not an issue as we was assured would be fixed and had showers to use instead! Unfortunately this was shot lived as the showers were running cold after about 2 minutes (and this was not caused by back to back showers trust me) we let it go as had already been told plumber was coming so next day spent a day out at longleat hoping to return to the cottage for a nice hot bath at 5 I months pregnant with a stinking cold and again no bath fixed and not hot water! With this o rang the owner who needs to go on a customer care course she explained she had rang the plumber and we just had to wait and there was nothing more she could do! She said she had made up the cottage next door and we could all

Move all our stuff in there- I went next door to shower.... Guess what more cold water! Rang her back to tell her this was not an option - instead of just a simple apology which would have gone s long way she said I'll refund you and go home then I can't do know more and hung up on me! Mum and dad decided to stay as dad was poorly and didn't need the upheaval- the plumber arrived on day 3 and fixed the hot water issue so all was resolved- st this point me and my family had made arrangements to go stay with friends as I was not happy to go another day without hot water! My parents never saw the owner for the duration of their stay and all I can say is lovely cottage but if you have a problem

Like we did don't be expecting a friendly service as you have as much chance of that as seeing a pig flying on that farm! Shame

Owner's Response: This is the first time I have had to respond to a review of this nature in 10 years . It was reported to me at 9.00am on Saturday morning that there was a problem with the hot water , the guests had arrived the evening before . I immediately contacted my plumber , who was un available . After looking at the boiler myself I could see that there was an issue with the hot water. When I did not hear from the plumber I asked my handy man to have a look at it. As the fault was not something obvious , I then too the decision to clean and make the beds up in the next door cottage for the guests to use on their return . At 7.00pm I received a phone call saying that the hot water was not working in the other cottage either . This was a surprise to me as I had cleaned the property earlier that day and all seemed well. I advised the guests that the plumber would be there at 8.30 am . My plumber arrived promptly 8.30 am on Sunday morning , 24hrs after I was first made aware of the problem . Not on day 3 as stated ! He repaired the boiler , and also checked the hot water situation in the other cottage ( he could not find a problem with it ) . I had already ran a bath of hot water to prove to myself that it was working . As the situation was resolved , I did not feel that any further action was required on my part.
