Piso Blanco is on a quiet street in the delightful San Francisco quarter of Ronda. It has two bedrooms, large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, modern bathroom, secluded roof terrace with stunning views and a shared pool and garden. With double-glazing and full central heating, it is also very suitable for autumn and winter bookings. Ronda is one of the wonders of Andalucía. Its spectacular setting, perched atop a deep gorge up in the mountains, takes your breath away. Its location makes Ronda a perfect base for a wide range of activities: visiting the great Andalusian cities of Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba, Cádiz and Jerez; sightseeing in the pueblos blancos of the region; walking in the mountains of the Serranía de Ronda; birdwatching in the Grazalema natural park; sketching or painting; or spending a day at one of the beach resorts of the Costa del Sol or the Costa de la Luz.

Are you awake? Yep. Can’t sleep. Me neither. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Probably, My God! What have we done? It's 3 am, mid-October in a village in the Serranía de Ronda. The evening before we had put down a deposit on an apartment in nearby Ronda.
We are now pleased to offer Piso Blanco for rental to discerning guests. Set up as a home-from-home, we think you will enjoy our books, CDs and DVDs, as well as other home comforts.
I'm Paul Whitelock, a retired school inspector. My wife and I live permanently in the area, so we are able to offer you a personal welcome and are on hand if needed during your stay.

“We fell in love with Ronda and the surrounding area the first time we visited and decided to buy a holiday home here. After several further house-hunting visits we finally bought Piso Blanco. The Barrio San Francisco is like a village in its own right. The locals are very friendly and there are great local shops, bars and restaurants. Ronda itself is stunningly beautiful perched atop its cliff and never ceases to surprise. It has a full range of amenities and shops. The white villages of the Serranía de Ronda are located in some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see. The famous Costa del Sol and the quieter and more dramatic Costa de la Luz are within easy reach, and the big cities of Andalucía - Córdoba, Granada, Sevilla, Cádiz and Jerez – are each a day trip away.”

Costa del Sol - approx. 50 minutes drive, eg Marbella, San Pedro, Estepona
Costa de la Luz - approx. 1.5 hours, eg Tarifa, Bolonia, Zahara de los Atunes
Málaga, Sevilla and Jerez airports are all around 120km from Ronda. Journey time by car is around 1.5 hours for each. However, it is not necessary to hire a car as there are good public transport links by bus and train. Free pick-up at Ronda station or bus station. We can also provide airport transfers on request (33% cheaper than a taxi).
Ronda 2 mins drive; 5 mins walk
Piso Blanco is just two minutes walk from the old Arab city walls and from a bank with ATM and local shops, including two butchers, a fishmonger, a pharmacy, a newsagents with free WIFI, four bakers and several grocers.
There is a great choice of bars and restaurants, including our favourite in the whole of Ronda.
The town centre has a full range of shops and supermarkets and other facilities.
There is a daily food market and a Sunday morning flea market.
Ronda is an ideal base for excursions by car, by bike or on foot. Some suggestions are included in our guest book.

“Piso Blanco offers benefits that other places in Ronda do not. It has a pool, which is unusual within the town. It has full gas central heating, which is also not typical. And you'll be glad of it in early Spring, late Autumn and Winter when the nights can get quite nippy! Heating costs are included by the way. The location of Piso Blanco, in a quiet street in the lovely Barrio San Francisco, one of the nicest parts of Ronda, is peaceful and lies on the edge of countryside. The Barrio has a village feel and the locals are very friendly. There is a full range of shops, bars, restaurants, a bank, pharmacy and a bus service. So you don't even need to hire a car. Ronda has 300 days of sunshine a year, which you can enjoy on the private roof terrace or in the communal garden and pool.”

- Notes on accommodation: Unusually for a holiday let, Piso Blanco has full central heating (brand-new boiler 2012), as well as double glazing, both of which are more than welcome on chilly spring and autumn evenings and in winter. Heating costs are included in the price. Winter breaks. Why not get away from the cold and wet of Northern Europe for all or part of the winter? The climate is warmer and healthier with many sunshine days, and Andalucía offers a more relaxed lifestyle. The cost of living remains favourable, with lower utilities bills and cheaper fuel. We are offering long winter stays at attractive rates. For example, a month up to March costs just 925€ all inclusive. A big advantage is that we live locally so are on hand to welcome you and attend to you during your stay. Outside: Outside is a large shared private garden with lawn bordered by shrubs and trees and a medium-sized swimming pool. This peaceful spot has magnificent views and is ideal for reading or relaxing in the sun or shade. Private roof terrace with patio furniture, sun umbrella and built-in barbecue. Super views. Ideal for meals or relaxing in private. Please note that the swimming pool season is 15 June to 15 September only.
