The apartment is 2-storey and situated on the highest elevation above the village. Everything is brand new with good quality beds, linen, furniture, etc. All rooms have a balcony or terrace and enjoy lovely open views. It is spacious, light and airy with 2 bedrooms en-suite. It is set in a small and attractive development and has an excellent pool area with showers, changing rooms, WCs and freely available sunbeds. Carvoiero beach and village centre are less than a 2-minute walk down hill or steps and there are shops, restaurants and bars catering for all tastes. You can walk the coastal path for miles on the cliffs and visit other nearby beaches on foot or by car and Carvoiero is centrally situated in the Algarve for exploring further afield. Wifi throughout.

I just wanted to thank you for a lovely stay at your gorgeous villa. It really was home from home, fantastic having 3 bathrooms and the wi fi worked a treat, so my sons and husband were all happy!

fantastic apartment

This is a lovely duplex apartment, fitted out with everything you could possibly need for a 'home away from home'

It is large, set out over two floors with the front door opening onto the bedroom level, both of which are spacious with lots of wardrobe space and hangers. Both were ensuite

Downstairs is a brilliant Kitchen, another loo and shower and the main living area. Plenty of room to move around and the kitchen is really well stocked.

The resort itself is lovely although beware, there are many, many hills. Not one for anyone with walking difficulties methinks. All the bars and restaurants were lovely. My fav was OSalmao, where I had duck in drambuie. Yum Yum

I cant recommend this apartment highly enough.

Excellent home from home

We've just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks at Colina Verde, Carvoeiro. Thank you to Val and and Paul for use of their wonderful home. And thank you to Emma and Mike who met us on arrival. The accommodation is superb, fully kitted out with everything needed, and more. On arrival the house was spotless and was cleaned mid stay. The location couldn't be better with just a short walk into the village and it's many restaurants and pubs. We visited some amazing cove beaches this year which are just a short drive away. We love Carvoeiro and hope to return next year. We highly recommend this property.

Amazing two weeks in paradise!

Hi Val & Paul

Many thanks for letting us use your wonderful townhouse apartment - it was truly a home from home experience. We felt relaxed and in 'holiday mode' as soon as we walked through the door! We all loved it, especially our 4 year old daughter who had the freedom to run around the safe and flat garden.

May was the perfect time to go, sun was shining and Carveriro wasn't too busy. Best restaurant we found was Wolf (steak) - amazing food and ended up going twice.

Already looking forward to our return trip next year!

Thanks again - fab apartment, location and of course sun shine!

Just wanted to send a quick email to say we had a fantastic holiday and absolutely loved the apartment, it was a real home from home, 10 days was just too short! Everything went very smoothly and apart from locking ourselves out one day no problems at all! Michelle was great and responded straight away when we had a query.

Ele and Ela was our favourite place to eat and the bakery recommendation spot on! We fell in love with Portugal and will be back!

Special interest holidays:

There are various activities locally with boat trips, snorkeling and scuba diving, big game fishing, dolphins, caves, train-ride, tennis on courts next-door, etc. There is a very helpful tourist information centre in the village 50 yards from the beach. 22km of cliff-top walks with beach cafes for pit-stops.

Coast/Beach:

It is a less than 2-minute walk to the beach in Carvoeiro.

A 10 minute walk to the cliff-top walking trail.

5 minutes by car to the next beach at Centeanes and 10 minutes to Benagil.

There are beautiful beaches and harbourside restaurants at Ferraguda (mini-train ride from Carvoiero!) and at Alvor 15 minutes away and at Meia 20 minutes (east of Lagos).

20 minutes by car takes you to the Zoo Marine and swimming with dolphins while two water-splash parks are 10 minutes away.

Travel:

Faro is 50km and we are an easy 40 minute drive from the the airport travelling on the A22 to J-6 and the N124/125 to Lagoa and thence Carvoiero. We will send you complete directions upon booking. 10 hours driving from the ferry at Santander, N. Spain. Car not essential as there is an inexpensive and very efficient shuttle bus service from the airport to our door. We will tell you how to book it. Local taxi's are readily available for a visit to the InterMarche supermarket 5mins by car.

Distances:

Carvoiero beach and village with a large variety of restaurants, shops and bars with entertainment are a short walk as is the coastal path.

There are three golf courses within a ten minute radius by car.

The mountains and Monchique are a scenic 45km drive and lovely historic Silves with its Moorish Castle is 20km. 20 minutes away is Lagos, a charming small city with a marina and market and miles of beautiful sandy beach.

Further Details:

Within walking distance, Carvoeiro has plenty of shops selling everything from clothes and beachwear to pottery and local crafts. From fresh produce to newspapers and pharmaceuticals. There is an excellent medical centre and several banks and a very helpful tourist information centre. The little supermarkets are very good while the larger InterMarche, 5 minutes along the road back to Lagoa, stocks everything you could want. They all stock fresh milk. There are two more supermarkets in Lagoa itself, along with a great shoe outlet store, banks, coffee shops, etc.

  • Notes on accommodation: There is ample parking on either side of the property. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment. A hairdryer, iron, ironing board and adapter plugs are included. The house is fully air-conditioned. The property is fine for children with a travel cot and a small fenced garden however there is a stone staircase. We have our grand-children's stair-gates available but we do ask parents to take complete responsibility for their children's welfare. There is a children's pool and play area. Outside: The living room and kitchen have an outside terrace and small private garden while both bedrooms have private balconies, all with furniture. All rooms have elevated views and none are overlooked by other houses. The shared swimming pool is an excellent size with a lawned area and sunbeds and there are shower and toilet facilities. There is a separate shallow childrens' pool and a play area with swings, etc. (Again, parents must take full responsibility for their children's welfare.) Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and beach towels and linen are included and are changed weekly. Other: In the bedrooms each of the beds is extra wide and can be separated for use by four friends . There is an extra folding mattress and bedding for 3rd child.
