Get away from it all for a while, relax and enjoy home comforts in this south facing ground floor apartment. Benefits from Free wifi and internet TV including BBC and ITV Channels. Small quiet and secure block of 10 private apartments with a pool and well maintained tropical gardens. The fabulous large private terrace benefits from the sun from early morning until sunset and has space for alfresco dining and sun beds with room to spare. The apartment is set back a few hundred meters from the seafront making it convenient for nearby shops, bars and restaurants while maintaining a peaceful ambience both day and night. A local supermarket is only around the corner while the apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen including oven and four ring hob. Centrally located with no need for a car and only a ten minute taxi transfer from the airport and 8 minutes walk from the Playa Grande Beach where you can enjoy scuba diving, windsurfing and other water sports. For golfers it’s within a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk of the new 18 hole course.

About The Owner

We've been visiting the Canary Islands for years and especially Lanzarote. Having realised how often we've visited and how much we loved the island and climate we decided to purchase our own property. So in November 2010 we took the plunge and after the last two weeks in the sun we've decided to offer our apartment for rent on owners direct.

Why The Owner chose Tías

As soon as we viewed the property we knew it was for us. It's not the usual holiday let with the heavy wooden furniture and bland soft furnishings. It has a home from home atmosphere.

The complex is small with only ten apartments and it has an enclosed garden so it is very private. The pool is shared however with other residents chosing to visit the tourist attractions we had the pool to ourselves most days.

It's location is quiet but on the contrary is a short eight minute walk to the main strip giving us the benefit of choice.

The apartment terrace is large and the dividing wall is covered with flowers from a beautiful purple shrub.

Puerto Del Carmen has an abundance of facilities for all ages and its close proximity to Arrecife Airport makes it easily accessible.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is just in the right place in Puerto Del Carmen. Its in a quiet and peaceful area but withing easy walking distance of the main beach and strip while close enough to the Old Town and Harbour for leisurely evening walks.

The fully equipped kitchen means that if you chose to you can prepare all meals during your stay. Fridge/freezer is convenient for cold drinks and with the pool on you doorstep there is no need to wander from the apartment.

Notes on accommodation: Residential apartment block not a tourist complex. This is a no smoking apartment we request if you smoke that you do so outside. The apartment is quiet and peaceful and the secure gate and fully enclosed gardens give peace of mind. All properties are privately owned some are owner occupied while others are available to rent. Ground floor accommodation with large private terrace giving direct access to the pool. Outside: Fully enclosed mature tropical garden. Sun terrace and shared pool within 5m of the property. Apartment has a large private terrace with a small portable barbecue, dining table, parasol and four chairs complete with cushions. For your comfort and convenience we have two private sun loungers with padded covers. There is an outside light for evenings on the terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen will be changed weekly. Other: Sun room to terrace with round table and wicker chairs. Book case with a good selection of paperbacks and DVDs.

Had a great holiday in this home from home Appartment. Great location, had everything you need in the Appartment and the managed to meet the owners who are lovely people and make sure your holiday is perfect. Would highly recommend. We have booked to return again next year.

Lovey apartment

Up the hill but not to far from the front , very easy for the buses in either direction. Small pool and a friendly Chihuahwa called Lucy from next door kept us entertain. So perfect place for two to stop ... good shower , great firm bed and little patio to have breakfast.

Doesn’t really have any views but otherwise very good .

Excellent home from home apartment

Thanks to Charles and Agnes for letting out their fabulous apartment, really nice little place with everything you could wish for to make your stay enjoyable and much much more. Short 5 or so minute walk to the restaurants and bars on the front, 1 minute from a little supermarket or 3 minutes to a larger supermarket. Friendly neighbours, delightful apartment complex, couldn't have asked for more for an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back!

Just back from 1 week in Lanzarotte - this has to be one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in for comfort , location, and facilities - outside area perfect- nothing was missing from inside - no matter what you required it was there - only regret was - we should have booked 2 weeks, a real Home from Home as stated by previous travellers - I hope we can return to this little bit of Paradise - well done to both Agnes & Charles,

The main beach at Puerto Del Carmen is a leisurely 8 min walk from the apartment. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired by the day. There are plenty water sport activities on the beach including pedalos, jet ski, banana boat, para gliding etc. Water sports areas are cordoned off for safety. There is also a dive school at Playa Chica Beach which is a further ten minutes towards the harbour. The beach is well patrolled by life guard/first aider and is a long stretch of child friendly sand.


Arrecife Airport is a short 10 minute taxi transfer to and from the apartment. The cost will be between 12-15 euros. The nearest bus stop is a short 2 minute walk, leaving the property turn right, at the end of the street go left and at the main road turn right. Fifty meters along this road is the bus stop to Arrecife Town and Costa Teguise. The service is regular and very inexpensive. The bus to Playa Blanca can be caught right outside the Biosphera and costs about three euros.


Puerto Del Carmen. Main beach 8 mins. Main strip 8 mins.Biosphera Shopping Mall 10 mins. Old Town 10 mins. Harbour 15 mins. Casino 10 mins. Costa Teguise is a 20 minute drive from PDC. Playa Blanca is 35-40 mins drive from PDC.

Further Details:

There are a number of operators along the strip who organise tours of the island. They pick up and set down at predetermined points around Puerto Del Carmen. Car hire however is cheap and entrance to the attractions is inexpensive so why not choose to do it yourself.

Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote

Situated on the East Coast, Puerto del Carmen is the principle and busiest resort on the Island. The new town of Puerto Del Carmen offers a fantastic variety of both Daytime and Night-time activities to suit people of all ages and nationalities.

For those who love early mornings and daytime activities or just basking in the sun this is the most perfect resort. Its main beach Playa Grande is the largest on the island and faces a long strip which hosts a huge variety of restaurants, shops and bars.

For those of us that prefer the nightlife Puerto del Carmen is definitely the resort for you. With its multitude of restaurants, pubs and disco bars there is something for everybody. For the younger and more energetic there is the main centre of nightlife called Centro Atlantico where one will find many bars, discos and live music venues playing the latest sounds.

The old town of Puerto Del Carmen is a picturesque fishing port containing a wide variety of fabulous restaurants. Here you can eat anything from a traditional Canarian dish, Italian pasta or pizza to Irish or English breakfast. This is definitely a must for those who love fine foods.

18th of May 2013: Welcome to the 22nd Ironman Lanzarote in wonderful surroundings.

Puerto del Carmen Carnival - late February, a three-day event held over the weekend following Ash Wednesday, with processions of spectacular floats along the Avenida Maritima de las Playas, street entertainment, and a notable gala event on the Friday.

Booking Notes:
A 25% non refundable deposit is required at time of booking to secure the apartment for the dates required. The balance is due no later than eight (8) weeks prior to departure. Holidays booked within eight weeks of departure are payable in full at time of booking.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible as is arrival and departure time depending on arriving parties. Normally we would ask you to vacate at 10am with arrivals at 2pm in order to facilitate cleaning of apartment. We will try to accommodate all requirements.

Notes on prices:
Price is from £245 UK Pounds for two people staying seven nights. Additional person(s) will be accommodated at £35 each with a maximum occupancy of four. Shorter stays can be discussed at enquiry.
