Luxury 5 star a ski in and out apartment. On the 1st floor of a 3 story apartment building with elevator, built in 2010. Open plan kitchen. Fireplace (wood included). Flat screen HD TV's, 50 sat channels, blue ray, free Wi-Fi throughout the apartment. Under floor heating. Ski locker and so much more. Wonderful views. Located in the charming resort of Riederalp/Bettmeralp. Only 60 mins from Milano airport, 90 minutes from Geneva airport, 45 minutes by car from Zermatt. A short walk to both charming villages. Great skiing, 107km of Pistes. In late 2012 The Aletsch Ski Area was voted as the Top 3 European Ski Area.

Our family of 4 fell in love with this area at first sight, after visiting the usual "in" places for years such as Verbier or Zermatt we just loved the tranquil and easygoing atmosphere of Riederalp and did not need to think twice when this luxurious development was offered to us.

This is not the usual cold and bare holiday home, this is a cozy, modern and fully fitted apartment that is truly a home away from home and we cannot wait for you to experience the uniqueness of Riederalp and wish we could be there to welcome you in person.

What a wonderful time we had in your Rideralp apartment on our vacation. We want to thank you for paying such attention to detail on everything, making our stay so special, actually the most special rental ever. We loved the open plan kitchen with its comfortable dining room chairs and the cozy sofas where we crashed each evening in front of the fire after the brilliant skiing. I even cooked often as there were so many gadgets you never find in a rental.

The tranquility of the area, no cars to worry about and the pure air filled us full of much needed energy for the rest of the year.

I hope you like the enclosed pictures of the ice bar we built in front of the window...the kids loved building it and the snowmen...we really had a fun time.

What a wonderful time we had in your Rideralp apartment on our vacation. Big Aletsch Glacier The highlight of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, this is the largest Glacier in the Alps.

Villa Cassel – nature preservation information centre and stylish guesthouse in a magnificent location Solbad Breiten/Mörel - Alpine brine health spa with Mediterranean qualities

Close by Wild Water Rafting.

Travel:

Riederalp is accessed by a cable car from the village of Morel where you will park your car in a large indoor carpark. if you arrive by train then you need to change trains in Brig which is a 10 minute drive/train ride from Morel.

Closest Airport is Milano Malpensa being around a 60 minute train ride to Brig.

Geneva and Zurich Airports are both around 90 minutes away by train to Brig.

Distances:

From Morel (in the valley): Brig 10 minutes, Zermatt 45 minutes, Geneva 90 minutes, Martigny 60 minutes, Sion/Sierre 30 minutes.

Further Details:

Both Riederalp and Bettmeralp offer a fair choice of good restaurants and supermarkets. arrangements can be made for supermarket goods to be delivered to the apartment. The general area is tranquil and you will not find the huge tourist environment such as existing in Zermatt.

Note on Prices: the prices include Luggage/Ski Equipment Transfer to the apartment and back to the main Gondola on day of departure.

Booking by telephone or email. If booking is made 20 weeks or more prior to the arrival date of your stay, a deposit of 30% of the total amount (Euro 750 minimum) will be needed to reserve accommodation. Balance to be made 16 weeks before arrival. If booking is within 16 weeks of arrival date of stay, full payment is required at time of booking. Payment by cheque or bank transfer. Booking secured once funds cleared.

Changeover Day:
Preferred Changeover Day is Saturday but depending on season flexibility is possible.

All Prices are in CHF per week for up to 6 persons, including VAT, linen and towels.
A 10% surcharge is applied on short stays and a 10% discount is given on multiple week stays.
Prices do not include End of stay cleaning fee: 260.00 CHF and Bed/Bath/Kitchen laundry: 30.00 CHF p.p. per stay payable locally on arrival, or any personal transfers, ski passes, ski or other sport equipment rental, food or beverage.

  • Notes on accommodation: This apartment offers 120m2 of fantastic, extremely comfortable accommodation suitable for everyone. It is beautifully furnished to a very high standard and is light and spacious. This is a proper home from home with everything needed for a fabulous stay. Underfloor heating and open fire place ensures that the apartment is warm and cozy. The TV Selection of channels is 50+ amongst which more than 25 English spoken. Riederalp being a Car free area is unbeatable for the kids who can roam free in winter building snowmen and sledging or in the summer bike, play football, tennis or golf at their hearts content. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble dryer, vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron on the ground floor. separate ski locker room on the ground floor, accessible via elevator. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The price includes property rental taxes, and luggage transport to/from the apartment to the main Gondola station. But does not include end of stay cleaning plus towels and linen. Other: The apartment has a cozy balcony with stunning views and a private garden/terrace area for the summer months.
